I was walking around the campus when I got a call from Light.

   " Hello? "

   " Y/n can you come to the tennis court, please? "

   " Sure. I'll be there in 2 seconds. "

   " Great! "

( Light's P.O.V. )

I hung up the phone and turned towards Ryuga.

   " Who was that? "

   " My girlfriend Y/n. She was with me the other day at the ceremony. I have to admit though I am surprised Ryuga. I never thought you would ask me to play tennis as a way of getting to know each other. "

   " Is it a problem for you? "

   " Not at all, but when you first invited me to play did you know how good I was? "

   " Yes, I'll be fine though. It's been a while but at one time I was actually the British Junior Champion. "

   ' If I ask him if he's British would he think I am trying to find out more about him because I'm Kira? Well, it can't hurt to try. '

   " Ryuga, were you raised in the UK? "

   " I lived in England for about five years when I was younger. But save your breath. Nothing that story will reveal L's true identity I promise you. "

   ' Oh is that so? '

( Your P.O.V. )

I walked down the stairs and into the tennis court. I saw Light and Ryuzaki getting prepared to play a game of tennis.

   " I don't think I've ever seen Ryuzaki outside. This will be interesting. "

Light looked over and waved at me and I waved back at him. Ryuzaki also looked back at me I gave him a friendly wave and he returned it with a gentle nod. I watched as their game started. Light was dressed as a professional while Ryuzaki was dressed in his normal clothes with shoes. Light was good at tennis he always beat me at it when we were younger. Ryuzaki hit the ball and it hit the gate I heard him say,

   " Fifteen love. "

   ' He's testing to see if Light hates to lose like Kira. '

They continued to play and the match grew more intense. Everyone stopped playing and watched Light and Ryuzaki play. Everyone gathered around and realized these two were not amateurs. I could tell they were both in each other's heads. Light hit the final blow and knocked the ball down and Ryuzaki tried to hit it but wasn't able to.

   ' Light wins. '

   " Game set! Won by Light Yagami! "

I clapped with everyone else thoroughly impressed either of them had the skill to play tennis that well. I walked with them as we left the tennis court and walked under the cherry blossom trees.

   " Just as I expected. You beat me "

   " It's been a while since I've had to play that hard. I'm feeling kind of thirsty. Plus there's something I wanted to ask you about. Do you want to go somewhere for a drink? "

   " You've humored me with a tennis match. The least I can do is answer some of your questions. But before this conversation can go any further. There is something I must tell you. "

   " Y/n will you excuse us for a moment, please? "

   " Sure, I don't mind I have to go and-"

   " No, she can stay. "

   " O-Okay. What is it you needed to tell me? "

   " I suspect that you, Light Yagami, are in fact, Kira. Now if you still want to ask me something please go ahead. "

Light stopped walking and I stopped with Ryuzaki to look at him. Light just laughed a little. 

   " You think I'm Kira? "

   " Well, when I say I suspect you it's only a 1% possibility. That aside I don't mind telling you that once I'm sure you aren't Kira and verify that your deductive skills are as strong as I think they are. I'd nothing more than to have you work for me on this investigation. "

Ryuzaki just started walking away. Leaving Light and me to stand there. Light looked at me with a worried glance. We continued to walk with Ryuzaki until Light asked a question I thought he would ask sooner. 

   " Why are you saying all of this with Y/n around? I thought you wanted to keep this a secret. "

   " I do, but I trust her. "

   " Why? You two have only met a few days ago. "

   " Simple. "

Ryuzaki turned and looked at me and then back to Light. 

   " She has been with me since this investigation has started. She hasn't left my side and because of this, I trust her. She has the same mindset as me and we both believe in the same type of justice. We are partners. "

Light looked at me and I couldn't look him in the eyes. I looked at everything around us but I couldn't look at him. I could feel the cherry blossoms fall around us and a few landed on my head. I felt someone touch my head as we continued to walk. I looked at Ryuzaki and he explained,

   " There were cherry blossoms in your hair. I thought I might get them out for you. "

   " Thank you. "

Light didn't say a thing to me as we continued walking to the coffee shop. It hurt that I had to lie to him and that he is only now finding out. But I had to keep it confidential. For Ryuzaki's sake and the task force. I made a promise to not speak a word of the information unless I have to. Now, I'm going to have to tell Light everything. 

   ' Why can't life be normal? '
