I said goodbye to Light and walked home later. When I opened my door I saw my dead, quiet house. I shut the door behind me and locked it. I turned on a couple of Lights and sat on my couch. I grabbed the remote and turned the TV on.

   ' What's on Sakura TV? '

I changed the channel and watched it and I noticed something was strange. 

   " In other words, all of the reporters and staff here are Kira's hostages. Aside from that, we have a professional obligation to share this message with you. I assure you this is not a hoax and Sakura TV is not airing this tape for the purposes of sensationalism. "

   " Kira has hostages? That's new. Kira has just killed them and not threaten the lives of innocent people. "

I continued to watch the TV with my full attention to it. 

   " 4 days ago our program director here at Sakura TV received 4 tapes. After a thorough examination, there can be no doubt they are from Kira himself. "

   " The first tape we received contained a prediction. Regarding the time of death of two suspected criminals who recently have been arrested. As predicted at the exact same time Kira had specified both men died suddenly of heart attacks yesterday. "

I stood up and called a cab. I told the man where to drive and he started driving to the hotel. When the cab stopped I ran inside and towards the elevator. It quickly flew upwards and opened its doors. I ran out and made it to Ryuzaki's door. I knocked and saw Watari open it.

   " Hey, Watari. "

   " Hello, Y/n. They are in the living room. "

I quickly walked to the living room and saw everyone around the TV monitors. Matsuda turned to me and his expression was shocked.

   " Y/n what are you doing here? You're supposed to be resting. "

   " My rest can wait. "

I walked closer to the TV and listened to the broadcast. We learned about the first and second tape but we won't be able to hear the tape until later at 5 PM today.

   " This has to be another fake don't ya think? " Mogi asked.

   " I doubt it. Even Sakura TV wouldn't stoop that low. " Matsuda said.

   ' Apparently, they would. '

   " And now the video. "

The words Kira were displayed on the TV. They were shown in a letter design much like L's but less neat and more had drawn. Ls was shown with perfect lines while this was shown with messy lines. Like a kid trying to copy something. We could hear someone moving around in the back while the tape played we didn't hear anything yet. We waited for another minute and we heard a voice. 

   " I am Kira. If this video is being aired April 18 at exactly 5:59 PM, as I requested then the time now is 5:59:47, 48, 49. Please change the channel to Taiyo TV. The news anchor Mr. Kazuhiko Hibima will die of a heart attack at exactly 6 o'clock. "

   " Change it! " Ryuzaki said raising his voice.

Watari changed the channel and sure enough, the news anchor was dead. His head was tilted back so we couldn't see his face, but he wasn't breathing. People ran and shook him but he wouldn't wake up.

   " It can't be. " Matsuda said. 

I grabbed his shoulder and squeezed it. He calmed down after I let go. 

   " How could he!? " someone shouted.

   " Change the channel back! And I need you to bring us another TV Watari! No make it two! "

Watari did so.

The man died immediately. People were shouting and a woman was holding the man so he wouldn't fall to the ground.
