I woke up and got ready to go to work. It was Saturday and I had work. I got changed out of my pajamas and into some cute but comfy clothes. I walked out of my house and locked y door behind me. I started walking down the street when I saw Light walking.

   " Morning Light. "

He turned around and saw me. A small smile graced his lips.

   " Good morning Y/n. You're up early, are you doing the morning shift? "

   " Yes. I took the morning shift at the bakery. "

   " Do you want me to walk with you? "

   " No, it's okay. I know on Saturdays you like to relax and study. You've seemed a little busier lately."

   " I have? "

   " Yeah, you have. So get some rest today Light. "

   " I will. I'll see you later Y/n. "

   " Bye. "

I jogged off leaving him behind. I ran to the bus stop and waited for the bus. I got on when the bus came and rode to the bakery. I unlocked the doors and turned the sign from closed to open. I walked inside and started baking. I first made a dozen strawberry cupcakes and vanilla cakes. I filled all the shelves with the baked goods and waited for customers to come inside. I watched the small TV that hung on the wall.

   " Today Japan's main topic is Kira. Everyone is questioning who Kira really is. "

   " Have you seen the website they have created for him? "

   " I have and it has a lot of comments on the page of names and pleas for Kira to kill certain people. I'm telling you there are names all over that website.  "

   " This whole Kira thing has gotten out of hand. "

   " It has. But what can we do? "

I tore my gaze away from the TV and served the last customer before going on my break. I took my apron off and grabbed a F/f cupcake. I walked to one of the tables by the window that sat two people and started eating my cupcake. The TV was behind me but  I could still hear what they were saying. I heard the seat in front of me slide away from the table and I saw the man from a couple of days ago sitting there.

   ' Wasn't his name Ryuzaki? '

   " Good evening Ryuzaki. How are you doing today? "

   " I'm doing quite fine. How are you? "

   " As good as I can be. All this talk about Kira is getting very political. "

   " Any thoughts on Kira? "

   " I think...I think L was right. "

   " How so? " This seemed to spike his interest.

   " Kira hasn't been killing for very long. Honestly, if I had the right information I could tell you more. All I can say for right now is that Kira seems to be trying to make a utopia. One where he rules it all. He has a childish type of justice where right and wrong do not correlate with the true meaning of justice. "

   " Hmmm. "

   " Without knowing the time frame he kills it would be hard to say if he was a student. "

   " Why a student? "

   " There's a lot of students who would love to abuse the power Kira has. It's more likely they would use it foolishly, probably more childish than Kira, but as I said without certain information I can't tell. "

   " You seem to be missing the main point of it all. It's not the message that he has been sending. He has killed someone every hour so... ask yourself why every hour? And why are all the victims in prison? Why not other criminals like before? "

   " Exactly. He's telling everyone that not only can he kill from a distance but he can also determine the time of death. "

I smirked at Ryuzaki and he looked shocked. His eyes continued to stare at mine.

   " There's only one thing about it that doesn't seem to fit. As soon as I and the police force suspected him as a student the pace changed when he killed. Maybe L has made that conclusion and that's why it changed to contradict his or her theory. "

   " How did you think up that? "

   " It's too convenient. Meaning he somehow has access to the polices information. Kira is challenging L. Thanks for telling me that he has killed someone every hour now though. That narrows it down to my statements sounding correct. "

   " You truly are a very smart woman. "

   " Thanks. This kind of stuff interests me. "

   " Any specific reason why? "

   " Just the mystery and fun in playing the game. "

Ryuzaki looked at me and I looked back at him. I smiled as I felt confident in my statements. 

   " You would be a great investigator. "

   " That's what I've heard. I don't know about it though. "

   " You also seem smart enough to be Kira them-self. "

   " If you think that then your brain is getting off track. "

   " Why do you say that? "

   " Kira just killed someone else. I may not be able to see the TV but I can hear it. They just announced that a man named Anki Yatehn died in prison of a heart attack. We have been talking for...."

I looked down at my watch and calculated the time when he appeared at the table. 

   " We have been talking for an hour and a half by now so I couldn't have killed anyone because you have been here watching me and I've done nothing but eat my cupcake. If Kira kills every hour then you've just seen that all I did for an hour and a half was explain things and eat a cupcake. "

   " So it isn't you? "

   " Correct. "

   " We don't know how Kira's killing works so is there a possibility you've somehow killed someone while I've just been sitting here? "

   " No, there is no way because you've been watching my every move. I am smart Ryuzaki but so are you and very observant. You've watched my every move. "

   " We could use you in trying to find Kira. You're as smart as me. "

   " What? I'm sorry did you just say ' we '. "

   " Y/n what I am about to say must never leave your mouth. "

   ' What could he tell me? '

   " I am L. "

I searched his face to see if he was joking or to find any sign that he was lying. There was none. He looked at me and a smirk formed on his face. 

   " With your intellect, you could help me catch Kira with the game we are playing now. So, what do you say? Will you help me? "
