Day 1

It was the first day of confinement for Light and Misa. Light may have been taken in yesterday but today would be the first official day of their confinement together. Misa stayed quiet and Light never said a word. For the first day, it was quiet until the chief walked in and requested for himself to be in confinement. Ryuzaki accepted his request and the chief was put in confinement with a few changes.

   ' Poor, Mr. Yagami. '

Day 3

Mr. Yagami was now in confinement. he just sat on his bed and stared out at the wall. Misa just kept asking for new clothes and a bath, but we couldn't let her go.

   " I didn't think this could get any more bizarre. " Aizawa said.

   " Ryuzaki, talk to me. What's happening? Have any new criminals been identified? Anyone that Kira would be likely to target? If so has he killed any of them? " Light asked.

   ' Those are the first words he has said since his confinement. '

   " In fact, quite a few criminals names have been broadcasted recently. But, since you've been detained we haven't had one report of a criminal killed by Kira. " Ryuzaki told him, clicking the button.

   " Wait, no one's been killed? Really? "

   " Yes. I see. So it's only a matter of time before I'm convicted as Kira. "

   ' What's going on here? '

( Ryuzaki's P.O.V. )

   ' What's going on here? I thought the murders would continue even after Light was confined. Instead, they've stopped completely. Light asked to be confined in the first place. As it continues it'll only strengthen the argument that he is Kira. The only question left would be whether or not he was conscious of being Kira. Does he really think that's gonna work? That he'll be let off the hook if he can just prove he wasn't conscious of being Kira. It's not like Light Yagami. No, it's not like Kira. '

Day 5

( Your P.O.V. )

It's been five days. Five days of nothing. Light has been talking to himself saying that he just needed to get through it. Misa continued to talk and tell ' Mr. Stalker ' that his video wouldn't sell if all she did was sit there. Mr. Yagami looked exhausted.

   " Mr. Yagami looks pretty bad. It seems he's taking this harder than Light or Misa. " Ryuzaki said as he stared at the TV.

   " Well, what did you expect? It's been five days since Light was put in prison and look, not a single criminal whose name has been broadcasted has been killed. In these situations, I think the parents must suffer a lot more than the accused. " Matsuda said with a worried tone.

   " No kidding. Especially now that we are seeing proof that Light is Kira. " Aizawa said agreeing with him.

   " I couldn't agree anymore with you Matsuda. "

   " Mr. Yagami? " Ryuzaki questioned.

   " What? What is it? Is it good news? Is it bad news?"

   " He's gone mad. " I said looking away from the TV monitors.

   " No, I wanted to tell you not to worry so much. It doesn't matter how much time you devote to worrying about this. The outcome will be the same. This could go on for quite some time. Perhaps you should rest in a more comfortable place. "

   " Impossible! "

Mr. Yagami stood up and his chair fell backward and slammed against the floor.

   " What makes you think I care where I am? It won't change anything! With the state I'm in now, this is the best place for me and no matter what the results are-"

He grabbed the camera now looking straight into the center of it.

   " -when I leave here I'm going to be with my son. "

   " I understand. " Ryuzaki said softly.

Day 7

I looked outside at the rainy day. The rain wasn't hard but very soft. Mr. Yagami, Misa Amane, and Light Yagami were still detained.

   " Light, you've only been here for one week. But I'm sure it can't be easy. Are you feeling alright? "

He said nothing. Light didn't say anything. Then he raised his head and his tone was deeper than usual.

( Light's P.O.V. )

   ' Looks like it's time to get rid of the Death Note. I can only hope Ryuk remembers what I told him. '

   " Yeah, I know I must look pretty bad in here, but this useless pride...I suppose I'll have to get rid of it. "

( Your P.O.V. )

   " What an odd way of saying something. "

I walked over to Ryuzaki's chair and sat down beside him. I watched the cameras. I felt like something changed. He gasped and then looked further upwards. He looked around like he didn't know where he was.

   " Ryuzaki something's changed. "

   " Yes, I agree with Y/n. Light seems different. "

   " Ryuzaki. I realize that I was the one pushing for confinement and that I asked you to put me in here but I just realized something important. This whole thing is completely pointless. Because I'm not Kira! You have to get me out of here! " Light yelled.

   " I can't do that. I promised you that no matter what you said, I wouldn't let you out until I was convinced that you are not Kira. "

   " Please, L. I wasn't thinking clearly, do you really think that a serial killer like Kira could commit those crimes without being aware of them? If I have no memory of his crimes, I'm not him! "

   " I've never been able to accept this idea that Kira has been acting without self-awareness all this time. But that doesn't change the fact that all the evidence points to you being Kira. Since we imprisoned you, Kira hasn't committed a single murder. "

   " Listen, just hear me out! " he yelled desperately.

   " I can't listen to his yelling. " I said standing up.

   " Y/n, you still have a percentage. I need you in my eyesight. " Ryuzaki said not turning his head.

   " I'm not going far. I'm just going to find Watari. Or to sit over on the couch by the window. "

   " Matsuda follow her. "

I rolled my eyes and walked with Matsuda through the hallways. I searched for Watari, but I couldn't find him. I eventually just settled on the couch.

( Flashback )

We walked to the bakery together and we talked about our classes. Light made some funny jokes and we had a lot of good laughs but I could tell that something was off about him. I don't know what it was but his eyes looked a little more suspicious. A little more menacing, but I didn't think anything about it.

( Flashback Over )

   ' Is that why this situation seems familiar? '
