I clicked through the several songs on the playlist and slipped on the headphones.

"Baby you can
Ride it ooh yeah
Bring it over to my place-"

I clicked the next song.

"All you girls in here, if you're feeling thirsty Come on take a sip 'cause you know what I'm serving-"

I sighed and scrolled through the songs before clicking on another one.

"Only skin and bones
I know that there's room
When the man in the black comes to cash his check
And you're holding onto your finally breath When you walk out the door know that I will too
I hope they build coffins for two-"

"Too depressing." I groaned as I scrolled through the songs again. My eyes peered over the names and I clicked on another one. I heard a loud knock on my office door and I slid the headphones off and saw a guy. I opened the door and raised an eyebrow.

"What's up?" He just stared at me like I had lost my mind.

"Can you just choose one song? I'm trying to sort through-" I shut the door in the middle of his sentence and turned up the volume and put the headphones back on and ignored the angry knocking as I scrolled through the playlist again.

"She makes these hoes turn up they nose
When the picture man take pose she don't no filter
No filter no filter

No filter
Cuz she thick fine woman-"

I paused the song and saw him scowl at me. I pressed play again and sighed as I opened the door and he pressed me against my desk.

"You've got nerve." He looked hot. His blonde hair fell in front of his eyes and his dark eyes looked even darker than usual.

"I'm just indecisive today." I shrugged and felt his breath on my neck.

"Oh really? Is that it?" He stared me down and I felt myself grow hotter as the song continued in the background at a high volume.

"Cuz she a thick fine woman I want her
thick fine woman I need her
thick fine woman I gotta have her-"

"Is the music distracting you, love." He was eyeing me and I looked to the side and he gripped my chin and forced me to look at him.

"Nope. Not at all." I gulped as he smirked and leaned in and pulled back at the last second and left the office. Leaving me red and flustered.

"Asshole." I muttered. I finally settled for a song and sighed as I watched Mr Blondie put the CD's back on the shelf.

"But one day I won't be able to ask you loud enough
I'll say will you marry me?
I swear that I will mean it
I'll say will you marry me?-"

He stopped in his tracks and turned to me I was vibing and opened my eyes to see him standing in my doorway and I took off the headphones slowly.

"Yes?" I asked. He looked like he was about to do something...legal?

"I wanna date you." He blurted out. I'm pretty sure he turned redder than I felt. He placed a hand over his mouth and I watched him turn to leave.

"Wait!" I grabbed his arm and pulled him. I ended up practically smushed in his chest and I nodded slowly. "I'll date you." My voice was muffled.

"Okay." He sounded relieved and kissed the top of my head before he finally relaxed. All the tension from his body earlier dissolved.

"105 is the number that comes to my head When I think of all the years I wanna be with you
Wake up every morning with you in my bed That's precisely what I plan to do."

The song finished and I still hung onto him.

"You know for a blonde guy you're kinda bold." I muttered.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He pulled back and raised an eyebrow with a small smile on his face.

"Nothin." I turned to go sit back down in my chair but then he grabbed my hand and pulled the headphones off slowly and just looked at me he had soft dimples and his eyes were like a soft gray.

"How about we go on that date right now?" I looked outside and saw soft rain drops fall down the window.

"It's raining. I don't-"

"You've never wanted to dance in the rain?" He asked. His jaw fell slack and he pulled me outside muttering how dare you.

"It's cold." I whined. He pulled me into his warm chest and we swayed in the rain.

"It's warm actually." He protested.

"Fine. It's warm and it's not as bad as I thought it would be." I grumbled. He chuckled causing his chest to vibrate.

"It's-"

"Alec." I interrupted him. "I know your name dork, I work with you."

"You're so snarky at nighttime love." He chuckled and kissed the tip of my nose and smiled. I felt my face warm slightly.

"Do you-"

"It's Kylie." He mumbled into my hair.

"You're such a cuddle guy." I said, he picked me up and twirled me in the rain.

"And you are adorable." He said his forehead pressed up against mine both of us smiling wide and the rain pattering around us.
