Explanation

Hello! So Amy is here to explain EVERYTHING. I could've left it all to your imagination and ability but some clues I think would be left buried FOREVER if I don't disclose them🤦‍♀️ So yeah, I'm going to reveal everything about the book, break each and every clue and hint. Even after that if you still have any questions and doubts, feel free to put it in the comments. I'll be sure to answer you. And if you go back and reread, you would actually realise how many clues you've left lol.

After the explanation I would like to do a small author note farewell.

Introduction
It actually starts from the Introduction chapter 🥲 So under the warnings, the last warning. "Watch out for the beginnings." That actually means, the chapter numbers are related to the doors. For example, if you take the the first number, it's 4. And if you go to the 4th chapter the chapter begins with "Dusting his crusty phone..." Likewise, if you go to all those chapters, the first letter would spell out "OH DOORI" just like the door numbers.

Cast
"Don't believe what you see. Believe what you read." It means that the visuals aren't true. The words are. That Kim Taehyung pic is not true. He doesn't have a face.

Prologue
Hoseok says "The fuck are you pretending like you aren't a hoe for? It's just a nude. I sent it to a chick last time too." that legit was there to say that Hoseok was straight. Well, he could be bi or pan or anything else. But it was not like he was NEVER into girls.

He took tons of pictures. That's a way to cope up with his amnesia. Jimin takes a lot of pics to not forget them some day. Also note, It's November 5.

One
Hoseok who had a guilty and sad look. He was guilty because he couldn't save his best friend.

His knees gave out and he hit the ground, not feeling the hand Hoseok was lending to hold his balance. That's because Hoseok was a ghost 💀 Now don't be that dumb ass bitch and ask "they are friends and they haven't touched each other?" not everyone likes to do hand shakes and hugs.

Four
"Now see you later, I have my jazz class to go." That said that Hoseok was a music and arts student.

Then Jimin thinks this about smoking. An old habit he remembered his father having. One of the very few things he even remembered about his father. He was nine when he lost his father. That was a clue to tell he had some trouble remembering stuff.

Jimin legit says "That's it! My sister is dead too can I fucking text her?!" lmao. That's Naeun.

Don't mind the small horror mentions of the blood dropping and all. Just to give chills. No logical reason.

Five
In this chapter Hoseok tries to tell Jimin to get off the rooftop so that he wouldn't get into shit. But Jimin's curiosity only grows. That is the room where a guy killed himself Jimin.

Well, the entire college thought it was Hoseok who killed himself there. Now don't ask why he didn't tell Jimin. First of all, it's not how it works. You know how every horror mystery works. You find the answers. You don't ask them. And Hoseok opted to lie because he thought that would make Jimin stay away. Also, if he knew the truth, Hoseok couldn't be around him to protect him. It's too much for him to explain. He just didn't want Jimin to get into everything. That's where the first door number change. That's Doori trying to leave clues for Jimin. Because unlike Hoseok, she knew for sure Jimin would get involved.

Six
Now. Hoseok killed Taehyung and yet was the one to introduce Jimin to him. One, he knew the dead can't see each other or communicate. Besides, he also wanted to find out his best friend's (Yoongi) murderer. And Jimin was on that way. So he wanted to support. He didn't want to inflict any harm by introducing Jimin to Taehyung.

There's a sentence "But besides that, only the sound of Jimin's raged breathing was heard." that's because Hoseok's dead. He didn't breathe.

"Oh, what happened here?" Taehyung asked before leaning down to help Jimin. Yes, Jimin. He couldn't see Hoseok. If you paid attention, you can see that Jimin addressed him and Hoseok together. But Taehyung only addressed Jimin.

The brown hair, auburn eyes and peachy lips made him feel something odd. Thats not Taehyung's face. Its this guy he met that day. its him right from the beginning 👇

"We-we are alright, Mr. Kim. Thank you. I'm Jimin by the way." Jimin stuttered and stood up, gesturing a petrified Hoseok to his feet. Taehyung frowned as he stared at him but didn't say anything. Thats because Jimin said we and legit gestured to someone who wasn't even visible💀

Taehyung says that a guy killed himself last year. No. He didn't know what happened. It was Taehyung who was awake that day. So he had no idea what happened that day. Now don't ask why he lied about the job and all. Bitches, it's a horror story. The fuck would he tell him the truth and end the book there?

Seven
Yoongi says Jimin has to find out how he was dead. Again, there is only so much the dead can disclose. I'll beat you if you say "If he told this back then, none of this would've happened" like, do you not want the book to go lol? And Yoongi got stuck in his phone after he died and Jimin's nude awoke him. He might text Jimin just to find his killer but he really wanted to make sure Jimin was safe. Also, he can see through Jimin's camera and hear through his microphone.

It was Kim Seokjin that day who killed Yoongi. On the night of November 5.

He says not to trust Kim Taehyung because of course, to him, Taehyung is the reason Hoseok hung himself. Motherfucker still believed he killed himself. Remember, Naeun and Hoseok never went public. Only Taehyung knew. But no, V. It was V. And yes, by now Yoongi had pretty much made out that Hoseok was still there with Jimin. But he couldn't see him or talk to him. He just takes that as a signal; that Jimin was the key to find EVERYTHING.

Eight
"Oh, you again." Yes. Again. But I told you it was Jongin who was awake that day. Meaning, Jongin was co conscious the last time Jimin came to the arts room.

It was a painting of a small girl catching snowflakes. It was Naeun. Naeun herself added the glitters. Remember, when they were young Jimin and his family came from the beach after New Year's celebration? Yes, this little girl was catching snowflakes. However Jimin didn't remember it.

It is not my fault. I didnt do it, I swear to God. He was in love. It wasn't me. Yup, thats guilty Jongin outing V even though V didnt kill her. Naeun killed herself. That was the truth. Dont ask why. It takes a lot to take one's one self. People who kill themselves arent weak. I just hope I can tell everyone in that place an "I'm very proud of you. You did good." So, dont you EVER say that to a suicidal person.

It's not in my power to say it. Yes the dead are powerless. And he knew Naeun was behind Jimin, guiding her. With the paintings and clues. She left them.

Nine.
Now, pay attention to Namjoon.

...and shuffled through the manila files, a lot of them being sexual abuse cases...that was a hint. That Namjoon had a trauma with all these cases. I know what he did was wrong. I'm not defending him but just so you know, he was ill in his head too. Hypersexuality is a serious disorder that requires help.

"Oh? Boyfriend?" He is surprised to know that Yoongi had a boyfriend. He knew Seokjin killed Yoongi. And now Jimin was getting involved. He actually plans to kill Jimin by the end of this chapter. But since the book is in Jimin's PoV we couldn't see that. That's why Naeun kills Namjoon.

He says the higher officials asked to close the case. That was his father and seokjin. How sly. Committing the crime and closing it themselves.

Now, Yoongi is choked. While Namjoon and Jungkook were slit by the neck. That was a hint Yoongi never killed the two.

And the warden said that Yoongi's door was wrong. So yeah, the number changed after he died.

Ten
Well, you're my only friend. I won't let you die. Hoseok wasn't just there because Jimin had his blood. He was Naeun's brother. He meant so much to him. He failed to protect her. At least he would protect Jimin.

The three paintings. Were left by Naeun to help Jimin. The sun set actually meant as a new day, for New Year when it all happened. Not just the fact that they were killed after sunset. Two, two boys playing in the swing. That would be Hoseok and Yoongi as brothers. Three, a rose tied with a rope. Rose symbolises love, of course. That means Jongin's love for her and how it all destroyed them. Yes, Namjoon didn't just do that to her because of his disorder. He just couldn't stop and control himself because of that disorder. But he hated that girl for being the reason why his brother ended up like that.

Yes, the arts room hint was by Naeun too. Every hint was by her.

Eleven
When he went to the security guard to ask for Taehyung, he only spoke as though he only saw Jimin. You missed that. He couldn't see Hoseok. "What are you doing here-" yeah. You. Only for Jimin. He never addressed Hoseok.

Twelve
They find out the numbers change when a person dies in that room. And Taehyung was the one in the arts room. Thats why Jimin thought it was him who killed himself. Yall called my boy dumb for that 😠 He had no idea the two rooms were to mean there were two deaths.

Now the dorm list. 10, is Jongin's. Thats why Taehyung's name was not there. Right next to him in room 11 was his best friend Hyunjin. But they didn't talk to each other. To Jongin, Hyunjin was someone who abandoned him. Room 17 is Doori's, Jimin's current room. If you notice it, she is the only girl in the list. No one found it odd. Why? because I was smart to add names like Yeonjun and Kim Woobin to distract your attention 😏

Thirteen.
He didn't send the nude to Namjoon. Naeun did. How? The two of them had the same phone number. Its fictional. Sit your ass down. Why she left his nude? To make him aware that it was no normal death and there were hints and clues for him.

Fourteen
He got all the clues. The book, the scene and the flowers. It all meant the same hints.

Fifteen
He went through Nmajoon's phone and saw all the victim pictures, post-mortem etc. Then imagine what all cruel things Namjoon had to witness😔

Yes, this was Hyunjin's entry. MY DADDY. The home screen of two small boys, hugging each other. That would be Jongin and Hyunjin.

This is the chap Jimin reveals everything about his own family and stuff. Drunk driver smashed into their car. Yes, Yoonbin was under influence that night. Jimin injured his head. Had amnesia and was in a coma. The moment he woke up he probably didnt remember anything. And he was nine at that. So his childhood was a blur, but the pain was stronger.

Sixteen
Jungkook's entry. Transfer student. Remember how his father refused to let him go here but he fought his way here for Taehyung.

But my boyfriend goes here, so yeah. I really wanted to stay with him. That was a clue that he was insane. Look, his boyfriend died but he till believed he was here. He sees his dead boyfriend...

Thats two doors close to where...the murder happened, right? Umm who said it was a murder. Everyone knew it was a suicide. Meaning, Jungkook was there when Seokjin killed Yoongi. How? Remember in his diary he mentioned he'll go to the college in November and apply. Yeah. He came to the college on November 5th, and witnessed it all. But told no one. Only wrote that in his journal. Ah! I'll explain how the journal got missed. Just keep reading.

Eighteen
Yoongi tells him to stay away from Jungkook. Of course his father was the one to help Seokjin close all the shit. And Jungkook told how he loved Taehyung too. It was fucked up. The two of them even engaged in a physical fight as per Jungkook's journal

He fell in love with someone he shoudn't. He didnt mean to say he knew of Jongin or his condition. Just meant he was in love with Taehyung, whom to him, was a bitch to spread his best friend's nudes.

Yoongi literally says he fell in love too. It's Jimin. Never Hoseok

Nineteen
Yoongi was honest here. He didn't forward the nude.

He means he lost Hoseok because of the nude. But to Jimin he still believed that Taehyung was the one to die in the arts room. So he knows that there was something more to Taehyung and Yoongi.

Twenty
He has the four numbers that spelt out DOOR. No, seriously. Whenever you find a group of numbers as clues, the first instinct is to change them into words, you dumbasses. Not one bitch did that lmao. Just because Jimin didn't mention it, doesnt mean you shouldn't do it. Now, look carefully, its the 20th chapter that got the numbers. But see how late the code is cracked. Its written in a way to make sure you wouldn't find out. And thats exactly what happened

The main reason I diverted all the attention to number 15 was to make sure you wont spell it out. And you didnt like I expected you to be.

15 meant new beginnings. Bullshit with that theory. That was literally a filler.

Twenty Two
Then we went a few chapters with the painting and Twilight so you will forget about the numbers. But it did have that one clue. The lion fell in love with the lamb. That applies to anything, honestly. Hoseok and Naeun. Jongin and Naeun etc.

Twenty Five
Jimin realizes that Jung Hoseok knew Taehyung who was dead. Some of you were smart here. Yall noticed. Or I can say you went "Hobi, you sus" when he literally breathed lmao. But either way kudos to you for that. And to the ones who didn't notice this, lmao. Poor you.

Twenty six
The chancellor, Jongin's father says Hoseok was dead. One, he called Jimin. He fucking knew his name. How? from his sons. But no one found that odd. How the fuck will the chancellor remember a particular student like that without anything he had done

Twenty seven
He finds out Hoseok is dead.

Twenty Nine

Yoongi says he wasnt there when it all happened and he had to hear it all from the chancellor and the students. Students who were lied to by Namjin and chancellor who approved all of his sons' shit. Yup. Yoongi was did dirty.

It was Seokjin who encountered Yoonbin after plotting for years.

Yoongi's mother eloped with Hoseok's because his father was a psycho bitch.

He found out Taehyung was the one to leak the nudes from Jungkook. He was about to find out why he did it when he was killed by Seokjin. Main reason why Jin killed him. Because he was after the truth. One reason why Namjoon wanted to kill Jimin. Because he was after the truth.

He says he loved him as a brother. Jimin cooked it up that they loved and shit. Loving someone is different from being in love with someone.

Yoongi reveals that it was Namjoon who dealt with Hoseok's case too.

Thirty one
Jungkook killed himself. How? His hallucinations and mind made him to. But he played THE important role with his journal. His journal was opened at 18th November which was the current day. Meaning, he died while he was writing the journal for that day. Make note. 18th November. And note, BLUE INK PEN. Blue is what Jungkook used.

Jimin got the final number too. Now, look how much happened the last time Jimin worked on numbers. If he focused on the numbers instead of 15, he would know it spelt DOOR. And now with the last number it spelt DOORI. And to avoid that, the chapters were aligned in a back and forth way.

Thirty Two
His legs felt jelly-like before he threw his diary on the bed...Bed. He left that on his bed before he ran to the bathroom to throw up.

Seokjin's entry. When Jimin says Yoongi was his friend Jin looks at him suspiciously. He knew he said he was his boyfriend from Namjoon. So Seokjin is extra sly and careful.

And when the staff calls him to the police station, he leaves first. Seokjin was still there. There was no mention about what he did after.

Thirty three
The most important chapter.

...when his eyes fell on the diary on his desk. DESK. Bitch he never left it there. It was on his bed.

The first few journals meant how Taehyung and Jungkook were with each other. And of course V wouldn't remember the kiss Taehyung did.

April 19th: Why did Taehyung have so many pictures of Hoseok...naked? That too under his pillow? What else was he hiding in his dorm? Note, dorm. He talks as though he had been to Taehyung's dorm. This journal itself is a little creepy and hints how Jungkook isnt normal.

May 8th: The day Naeun died. He seemed off. Of course, that was Jongin and he just witnessed his love die.

May 12th: He hears someone has spread Hoseok's nudes.

May 13th: I just heard my father say that my Taehyung...died a couple days ago? Couple days ago. That means May 11th is when Taehyung died. And the nude was spread after his death. Its legit revealed here

July 27th: when Yoongi comes to speak with Jungkook's father the two of them fight and end up telling Yoongi Hoseok killed Taehyung and all.

August 11th: Yoongi stopped trying to open the case again. That's because he was taking care of it subtly.

Sept 23rd: I'm going to the college in NOVEMBER. Thats when Yoongi was killed. And I will stay at the dorms. Even though its a place Ive never been to.
