Jimin's heart stopped.

Park Naeun.

There's no way.

"P-park Naeun?" Jimin stuttered, barely even a breath. "S-sir, isn't Doori's parents Oh Gwangyu and Oh Jiwon?"

"No, I don't think so. I couldn't investigate further. But as far as I know, she lost her family in an accident and Jongin's father admitted her in a foster home. Maybe it was her adoptive parents. But when I dealt the case, she was kidnapped after Yoonbin killed her family."

Jimin let out a shaky breath.

Hyunjin gave him an 'are you okay?' look. No, Jimin wasn't okay. It wasn't okay for him with everything that had happened. It wasn't okay for a drunk Yoonbin to crash his family at the age of nine. It wasn't okay for Jimin to be in coma for four months with a partial amnesia for a few years. It wasn't okay for him to know that his sister, Park Naeun had been alive, and he had no idea she did. It wasn't okay for him to not fucking be there and protect her when she was kidnapped. Oh my God, was she—

Jimin's eyes filled with tears.

"She and Jongin were classmates. And Yoonbin was their teacher. That bastard had been obsessed with the two of them for a while. And from what I've investigated, he kidnapped Jongin from his New Year's party. And thrashed Naeun's family while they were driving from Gwanchul beach, and took her. She did have few injuries from the accident but not major." Dongwook continued. So Naeun had survived. Even better than Jimin, with less injuries. If only he wasn't unconscious that day, he would've known. If only he didn't hurt his head, he would've remembered...

"We couldn't particularly find out what happened for three months. But that sick fuck ruined the two kids. And they were too young which makes it even more sad." Dongwook paused, his own eyes filled with pain. "However, when we rescued the kids, Naeun had no signs of abuse or molestation."

Thank God. A tear rolled down Jimin's eye.

"However, she was heavily drugged. Like, she was barely conscious to remember what even happened after the accident. Her memory was so...messed up. There's only so much drugs a ten year old can take. So she had to be in the hospital for a while. I came to know that she lost her family and the basic things from her after that. But before I could investigate further, Jongin's father bribed my higher officials and I was forced to close the case. After that I knew nothing of her. I got transferred pretty soon."
