Jimin didn't mention the kiss to anyone. He wanted to keep it to himself, despite how crazy it drove him.

He wanted to keep the memory to himself; the smell and taste of Jungkook's favorite beer, the taller's chapped lips and shaky movements.

He felt guilty that his second reasoning was keeping Jisoo from getting upset.

Once Joshua had come to bed, Jimin turned and watched him snuggle under the blankets.

Jisoo looked back at him and smiled, "You alright?"

"Yeah, I just...I wanna talk to you... about the move."

"What about it?"

Jimin slid down and laid on his side, facing the taller, "I'm scared."

"What for? The language barrier? Your English is getting a lot better."

"No, it's not just that...I...well, what if I don't like it? America is so much more different than Korea. I liked that thought at first, but the more I realized it...the scarier moving became."

Joshua smiled and placed his hand on Jimin's cheek, "I get it. I felt the same when I came here. I knew that there was a lot more respect in this society, but I'd always been taught to take care of myself despite the other person's age or status."

"My momma would shoot me."

Jisoo laughed and leaned forward to press a kiss to Jimin's lips, "I know. Respect and stuff is a really big deal here. In America, people just walk all over one another to get what they want. And some children are just terrible. Really snarky and rude."

"That's not helping me."

"Look," Jisoo laughed out, "I guess...bottom line, I understand what you mean."

"Okay, so...I was wondering if...like, maybe we could visit your parents for a while and see how I like it. But...we don't have to stay if I don't want to, do we?"

"Of course not," Jisoo moved closer, "We don't have to move right away. I get where you're coming from."

"Okay," Jimin smiled, "Thanks, baby."

"No worries. And I know, like, all our friends are here and you have Gracie. So, I'd understand if you only wanted to visit and get married."

"Thank you," Jimin wrapped his arms around the taller and closed his eyes.

------------------

"So, you're babysitting again," Jin commented, "I take it that you and Kookie talked everything out."

"Not everything, but we talked about some things. We're...trying to forget that we acted like children. For Gracie's sake."

"Yeah...I thought she was gonna cry at dinner that night."

"She did," Jimin sighed, "Once she was in the truck and had her monkey...poor baby just let it out."

"Jimin...I know I don't always seem like it, but I'm happy that you've found someone you love. But...do you really wanna move? I'm all for you visiting his parents, and I know they'll love you, just...I don't know... I'll miss you."

"I actually made a deal with Jisoo. He said that, when we visited, if I didn't like America, we didn't have to move."

Jin exhaled at that and Jimin could see his body visibly relax, "Okay...it's good that he thinks of you so much."

Jimin nodded, "It is."

-----------------

When Jimin babysat, Grace didn't want to do anything other than sit in Jimin's lap until Jungkook came home.

They didn't dance, didn't play City Builders with blocks anymore. They didn't read, didn't watch tv, didn't listen to music; they did nothing.

Jimin honestly didn't mind it. He loved holding her and he especially loved when she'd fall asleep in his arms.

He'd stay perfectly still until Jungkook got home and took her to bed. Then the two grownups would hug and Jimin would leave.

Yet, there was one night in particular that Jimin enjoyed more than he should.

Grace had fallen asleep in his lap, her legs stretched out to the side and head on Jimin's chest.

Jungkook came in, getting settled and then coming into the living room. He took a seat next to Jimin and smiled at his daughter.

"She's cute," Jimin whispered.

"She's beautiful. I don't know what I'm gonna do. She's gonna have so many boyfriends and her heart's gonna get broken."

"Jungkook, she's three."

"I know, that's two years closer to her moving out."

Jimin rolled his eyes and smiled, "She looks a lot like you, Jungkook. Maybe she won't ask about Malani."

"Maybe," the younger nodded, reaching out to tuck his baby girl's hair behind her ear. Grace liked her hair short. She hated having to put it in a ponytail, so Jungkook suggested she cut it and she said she liked it better shorter.

"How was work?"

"Mm...boring, but I'm getting promoted so-"

"Really?! That's- I'm proud of you, Kookie."

"Thanks," the taller blushed, standing up and standing in front of Jimin. He leaned down, his hands sliding under Grace's arms. He was going to pick her up, but then his eyes met Jimin's and he found himself leaning forward.

The older's breath hitched then stopped and he closed his eyes, Jungkook's lips meeting his almost instantly.

Kook's hands moved to the back of the couch and he leaned down more, pressing harder into the kiss.

Jimin let out a little whine, then quickly reached up and wrapped his arm around Jung's neck.

He told himself to stop. He told himself that Jisoo would never forgive him, that he shouldn't like the kiss, that he shouldn't feel as happy and free and nostalgic as he does. Yet, he couldn't stop any of it. He didn't want to.

His phone started ringing and Jungkook almost jumped away from him, breaking their kiss and all contact. He picked up Grace and hurried out of the room.

Jimin sighed then leaned forward and grabbed his phone. He frowned at the ID then answered, "Hey baby."

"Hey," Jisoo answered cheerfully, "You on your way home yet?"

"Um...Kookie needs me to stay the night, actually, why?"

"Aw," Jimin's boyfriend laughed, "No special reason. I was just gonna say that we're out of milk, but I can walk to the corner store and get a half gallon."

"Oh, okay. Sorry, I can't come home. I missed you today. How was work?"

"Same old, same old. School was nice though. Since, like, the sprinklers randomly went off in the building."

"Oh...my god, why? Was it a malfunction?"

"No, just druggies in the bathroom."

"God," Jimin rolled his eyes with a laugh, "Some people are so stupid."

"Absolutely agree. Seungkwan is a perfect example when he's trying to impress people."

"Rude," Jimin giggled.

"It's not rude. He knows I generally love him being in my presence."

"Baby," Jimin scoffed.

"Yeah, I know. You should get some sleep, baby."

"M'kay, you too. Good night," the older smiled to himself.

"Night, love you."

"Love you too."

With that, Jimin hung up and moved to the kitchen. He turned off the lights and then quickly made his way upstairs.

He could hear Jungkook mumbling and when he peeked into Grace's room he saw his friend crouched beside her bed and running his fingers through the girl's hair.

The older quietly walked down to Jung's room, slipping inside and looking around.

It was a little messy, but it was a sort of...endearing mess, somehow. There were dirty clothes on the floor in front of the closet and a pair of sweatpants on the bed. It looked like a busy father's room.

Jimin moved over to Jungkook's dresser and examined all the younger's necklaces. He remembered seeing one around Grace's neck one day that was a flat star pendant with a thin, silver chain.

He picked it up from between two others and smiled at it. He really liked it, actually. It was simple, yet beautiful.

The door opened behind Jimin and he heard a sigh as he turned around.

Their eyes met and Jungkook slowly shut the door, "I thought you left."

Jimin shook his head and his eyes fell to the necklace in his hand. "Sorry, I...I remembered Grace wore that," Jimin turned and put it back. "It's pretty."

Jungkook eyed the smaller male's back, seeing how heavily he was breathing, "You okay?"

"Yeah," Jimin smiled, facing the taller, "Why?"

"Well...usually...you leave after I put Grace to bed."

Jimin shrugged, "I just...I don't know. I-I guess I don't wanna go home."

Jungkook moved a bit closer, hands clenched at his sides, "Why not?"

Jimin gave another shrug then sighed, leaning against Jungkook's dresser. He turned his head and picked up a cologne bottle that came into view.

Namja Dior. Jimin giggled, lifting the bottle to his nose, "This smells nice."

The next time Jimin looked up, he had to tilt his head back to meet the younger's eyes.

Jungkook carefully took the bottle, yet carelessly dropped it on the dresser.
Jimin gulped and found his hands gripping the taller's dress shirt.

"Hyung," Kook lifted his hand to Jimin's cheek.

"Yeah?"

Jungkook licked his lips and then exhaled, pausing for a beat before he said, "Is he better to you than I was?"

Jimin didn't want to answer. He didn't want to admit to himself that Jungkook had been mean and unsupportive of his relationship. Oh fuck. His relationship. If Jisoo could see him now...

"Is he good to you?" Jung rephrased.

"Yeah...he is. He's a nice person."

"You love him, don't you?" The taller's eyes were clearly tearing up, so Jimin frowned.

"I don't know Kookie. I'm so confused. You make me so confused."

"I shouldn't," Jungkook admitted, "I was horrible to you. I didn't consider your feelings. I was just....so jealous and I couldn't even be in the same room as him-"

"I know. It meant a lot that you came to have dinner with us."

"I...I kind of wish we didn't. I'd be...less worried if I didn't know you were leaving us."

The smaller exhaled and nodded, "I'm not moving any time soon. I'm only going to visit for a little while and then I'll make my decision. I got scared and we had to change our plans," he giggled lightly.

Jungkook smiled and pushed his hand into Jimin's hair, "I'm glad." Kook leaned down and lightly (almost feather-like) kissed Jimin's lips. Then it got heavier and Jimin took a step back, kicking the dresser.

Jungkook pulled back and let his nose rest against Jimin's cheek.

"Kookie?"

"Hm."

"Jisoo can't know," Jimin whispered, sliding his hands down to the other's hips and pulling him forward.

"Hyung-"

"Jisoo can't know," he repeated.

Jungkook let out a shaky breath and slowly nodded.

------------------

Jimin could hear his phone ringing. It was playing Jisoo's personal ringtone.

It had to be late in the morning, otherwise his boyfriend wouldn't have called. Jisoo goes to classes around nine and gets back at eleven.

Jimin started to get up, but two arms surrounded him quickly and pulled him down.

"Jungkook," Jimin mumbled, "I gotta get it."

"No, don't. You're mine right now," the younger spoke lowly, pressing kisses to his neck.

"Kookie..." The older exhaled, relaxing in Jung's hold.

"I can take care of you," Jungkook quickly pushed himself up over the other, slipping into the previous night's familiar heat.

Jimin squeezed his eyes shut and quietly exhaled.

The ringing subsided soon after and the two shared breathy moans as they kissed.

A small muffled sound of "Daddy" had Jungkook pulling away and giving Jimin a strange look.

The smaller slowly opened his eyes, confused as to why everything stopped when it made him feel so good.

"Daddy, are you awake?" Grace's tired voice came through the door.

Jimin's eyes widened and Jungkook quickly pulled away from the older. He hopped out of bed and grabbed the sweatpants- that used to be on the bed- from the floor. He slid them on, then went to his closet and pulled on a long, baggy shirt.

He moved to the door and opened it slightly, looking down as Grace's small voice bid him good morning.

"Are you hungry?" Jungkook asked, shifting on his feet and causing the door to open more.

"Uncle JiJi?" Grace's eyes left her father and landed on Jimin, who had managed to quietly pull on his boxers and was reaching for Jungkook's discarded dress shirt.

"Oh, um...." Jungkook sighed, jolting as Grace barreled into the room and over to Jimin.

Jungkook was glad she knew nothing of male anatomy because he would hate to explain Jimin's boner to his three year old.

Grace jumped into Jimin's arms and sat happily on the smaller male's hip, slapping his shoulder and smiling, "Uncle, are you having breakfast with us?!"

"Uh," Ji looked to the younger male and silently asked if it was okay.

Jungkook smiled and leaned against the doorframe, nodding softly.

"Yeah, I am, baby," Jimin smiled at Grace and she squealed.

Jimin sat her down and she rushed from the room.

Jungkook laughed as he made his way to Jimin, "You should've waited for me under the covers."

"Oh well," the older blushed, yet was able to shrug it off, "Not like she knows what it means."

"Yeah," Jungkook grinned, sliding his hand down Jimin's stomach and into his boxer's, "But I do."

-------------------

Jungkook wanted to cry. He was starting to not care that Grace could witness it.

Jimin was in a pair of his sweatpants- baggy and long, yet accentuating his ass- and one of his white tees, which hung dangerously low off his right shoulder.

He was helping Grace make pancakes and she seemed so happy.

Still, he was upset because this couldn't happen tomorrow morning or the next or on Grace's birthday and he might never get to hold Jimin ever again. He was so glad he had the opportunity and he was glad he took it, but he was fucking upset he couldn't have it again.

How did Jimin stand this for seven years? Jungkook couldn't take eight months and now that it'd been two years he was almost numb. The night before was probably the most human he's ever felt while laying in bed for the last three years.

He didn't sleep last night. He stayed up; staring at Jimin and thinking about how things would be if Jimin came to him tomorrow and said 'I still love you, Jungkook'.

Kook himself knew he'd be better than before. Instead of being jealous and overprotective, he'd support Jimin in choosing what he wanted. Yet that was the fantasy where everything played in his favor.

"Daddy! Uncle made a face with blueberries!" Grace sat a plate in front of him.

He smiled at the smiley face then reached down and picked her up, "You guys did great. It look's delicious."

"Psst," Grace waved him down and he let her whisper in his ear, "There's chocolate chips in it. I didn't tell him you're doing a diet."

"Bug," Jungkook grumbled before he turned his head and blew a raspberry on her neck.

She pulled her shoulders up and leaned away from him, making Jimin laugh from his spot at the stove.

Jungkook sighed, smoothing his hand over Grace's hair, "Did you already brush it?"

"Mhm!" She smiled.

"You did good. Daddy's big girl," Jungkook pulled her closer to his chest and hugged her, "Please don't grow up."

"I won't," she giggled, "I'll stay little so you'll carry me when I'm sleepy. The big kids at daycare say your daddy stops carrying you when you get big."

"Thank you," Jungkook kissed her head and she threw her arms around his torso as best she could.

"Love you Daddy," Grace puckered her lips and looked up, blowing a raspberry on the underside of her father's chin.

"Ah!" Jungkook looked down and playfully glared before he buried his nose against her neck and pretended to bite her. His teeth never touched her, but he made snarling and growling sounds, snorting every now and then.

"Gracie," Jimin singsonged, "Your pancake's ready."

She gasped and pushed against Jungkook's face; crawling down from his lap and rushing to Jimin's side, she bounced on her heels, "Is there a face!?"

"No, I made you," Jimin handed the plate down to her, "a flower."

Grace squealed and rushed to Jungkook, putting her plate next to her father's before climbing back in his lap.

"Oh!" Jimin moved across the kitchen and opened one of the overhead cabinets, "Do you guys want syrup and butter?"

"Yes please!" Grace shouted, "Wait...Daddy can't have butter anymore," she pouted.

"Why's that?" Jimin asked, grabbing the syrup and two forks. Then he walked to fridge, grabbing the butter and a banana.

He placed the butter and syrup in front of the others and handed them both a fork. They prepared their meals slowly, neither one looking at Jimin, who had taken a seat across from them and started eating his banana.

"I have high cholesterol," Jungkook muttered.

"Oh," Jimin frowned, "When did you find that out?"

"Um...when...the night we all got together for dinner. I had my appointment earlier that day."

Grace pushed the butter away from them and Jungkook smiled at the gesture.

"Have you been keeping Daddy safe?" Jimin asked her.

She smiled at that, "I make sure he does what the doctor told him to. I have a list and we do it everyday."

"Really? Is it fun?"

"Mhm!" She giggled, "We play in the park and get frozen yogurt."

"Ooo, that sounds really nice."

"It is! Daddy, what's the flavor I like? The green one?"

"Mm...key lime pie," Jungkook answered before stuffing his mouth. Some syrup dripping off his lip made him gather Grace's hair and stuff it down the back of her shirt.

Jimin laughed at that and the younger male looked up, doe eyes shining in wonder.

Grace glanced up a second later, her eyes matching her dad's.

"You two are...so similar," Jimin squinted and looked between the two of them, "You have your daddy's eyes, Sunshine."

Grace looked between the two of them then furrowed her brow at Jimin, "Do you like Daddy's eyes?"

"I do," Jimin nodded, "They're really big and he looks like a fish."

"Hey," Kook pouted.

Grace giggled and Jimin smirked at the taller.

He wanted things to be this way everyday for the rest of his life....because he'd never gotten over Jungkook and he wasn't ready to move on. He never wanted to move on.
