"Hey Momma," Jimin tucked his phone between his shoulder and his cheek before he picked up his son from the high chair.

"Hey sweetie," she giggled, "How're my boys doing this month?"

"We're great," Jimin said happily, "Junie's trying to walk and it's adorable to watch him fail so hard."

"Ah, I knew you wouldn't be a typical parent. Whatever you do, don't get him tattooed or pierced. He's only a year old."

"I know Momma," Jimin laughed, moving to sit on the couch. He placed Jun Hae on his lap and grabbed his phone in his left hand, "I'll let him make that decision on his own."

The baby hummed and grabbed his own foot, pulling on his toes before he realized they didn't come off like his socks did.

"How's work, Jiminie?," his mother asked, her voice softer than normal.

The father sighed and gripped his baby tighter as the little one tried to get off his lap, "It's so boring. And it's hard to keep up with everything when I pile school and Junie's needs on top of it."

"Yeah, I figured. You know you could just come and live with us, right baby?"

"I know I could, but I really like this school and it's the only one with the art courses I want."

There was a loud, frantic knock on the door and Jimin twisted his body towards it.

"Um, Mom, someone's at the door, I gotta go."

"Oh, well, call me back when Junie starts walking, I'll put it down in his baby book for you."

"Will do, love you," Jimin smiled as he let Jun Hae slide to the floor and stand between his knees.

"Love you two, too," the grandmother giggled, "Give Junie kisses for me."

"I will, bye Momma."

"Bye baby."

Jimin turned off his phone and brought Jun back into his arms, pressing a few kisses to the baby's chubby cheeks.

"From Granny," Jimin giggled with his son as they made their way to the door.

The loud knocks came again and Jimin let out an annoyed, "I'm coming!"

He reached the door and pulled it open, ready with a snide remark, but he froze when his eyes met Jeon Jungkook's.

"Hey," the black haired male's voice was airy as he sighed out his greetings.

Jimin contemplated shutting the door in Jeon Jungkook's annoying face. Yet when he looked at the taller's eyes, he saw Jun Hae's eyes and he couldn't.

"What do you want?" Jimin settled on sounding sour as he protectively wrapped his free arm around Jun.

"What do I want?" Jungkook almost laughed, "Where have you been? I've been looking for a year. Damn, how...how old is he? Can he walk yet? Has he said anything?"

"So now you care?"

"I always cared, Jimin," Jungkook's eyes lost their sparkle and he tried to reach out to the other two, but Jimin backed up.

"That why you left us?"

"I had to."

"Yeah, just like you had to go to Seokjin while we were still together and while I was dealing with being pregnant on my own," the smaller of them would've liked to sound more intimidating, but he didn't want Jungkook to cry on his doorstep or anything.

"Jimin, I'm sorry. I really am, but...you gotta realize how hard it was on me too."

"Hard on you?!" The older scoffed, "Because you had to get a c-section and you have to work crappy jobs and drop him off at daycare and go to school whenever you get free time. It's so hard on you to work at that stupid gym and get laid every few days."

"You ran off, Jimin," Jungkook sarcastically, nervously laughed, "You didn't call, didn't text, didn't say where you were going. I had to track you down using my credit card number, which I let you keep since you only seemed to buy stuff for him."

"I do only buy stuff for him," Jimin said defensively.

"And that's fine," Jungkook took a quick step forward and put his hands on Jimin's shoulders.

"Please don't touch me."

"Jimin," Kook sighed, annoyed with how Jimin was being so standoffish.

"Don't expect me to jump into your arms and let you carry me to bed. It's not gonna happen."

"I cheated on you, I get it. I know it was wrong, but I was so stressed out-"

"Like that warrants leaving me within twenty four hours of being informed of your kid's existence."

"Jimin, I fucked up, I get it. But you can't keep me away from him. He's my son too!"

"Watch me," Jimin rolled his eyes and tried to step back again, but Jungkook wrapped his arms fully around the other two.

"Jimin, stop being an asshole. He's our kid and I wanna see him."

"Maybe you should've thought about that before you slept with some whore."

"Alright, Chim-"

"Don't call me that."

"Seokjin is your friend-"

"Was."

"You can be mad at me all you want, but don't start telling lies about him. You know he's not like that."

Jimin frowned and looked down to Jun Hae, who had fallen asleep against his chest.

"Can I come in and sit with him for a couple hours?"

Jimin's eyes traveled up the expanse of Jungkook's neck, their gazes soon meeting.

Then he exhaled as he nodded, eyes falling back to Jun as Jungkook let go of him.

He led the younger into the living room, the front door falling shut behind them, and took a seat on the couch.

Jungkook followed suit, letting his knees touch Jimin's as he slightly faced the smaller male.

"You can stay until he wakes up," Jimin mumbled, "Maybe a little longer if you don't piss me off."

Jungkook laughed at that and nodded, "I'll take what I can get."

Jimin reluctantly handed the one year old over to Jungkook, making sure Jungkook didn't hold him awkwardly or anything.

They were quiet for a while, then Jungkook suddenly looked up and said, "You know I regret doing that to you, don't you?"

"No," Jimin scoffed, "It really didn't sound like you were regretting it."

"Jimin, I'm serious. Drop the attitude, please."

"Attitude?" Jimin crossed his arms and stared daggers at the younger male.

"Yes. You're in one of your moods right now," Kook let his eyes fall back to Jun Hae, "Just because we aren't together doesn't mean I don't remember everything about you."

"Well, I've changed," Jimin let his eyes fall to Jun Hae's high chair.

"You look tired."

"I am. Sorry I didn't slap on makeup for some rando at the door at three in the evening."

"Not what I meant," Jungkook muttered, "I just was gonna say...I could take him for a few hours and let you rest."

"Absolutely not. I don't trust Seokjin around him."

"Are you kidding?" Kook scoffed, "I haven't seen Jin hyung since that night."

"Like I'm supposed to believe that when you call him hyung."

"Yes, I still text him and we still act like friends. I don't see the guys anymore, but at least I didn't just cut everyone off and run away with the baby we were all expecting to see. I was supposed to be a father and our friends were really looking forward to being called uncles. When none of us got any of that, we thought something happened...something went wrong. We spent months trying to get info on you from your mom, but she was just as tightlipped as you are right now. Then we finally got to know you were alive and the baby was okay...I got my credit card bill and I started following you across the fucking country."

"You didn't have to," Jimin grumbled.

"No, but I wanted to see my son," Jungkook spat, "I wanted to see you, wanted to know if you were okay. All that shit about depression and pregnancy the doctor spilled off...Jimin, you scared the fuck out of me."

"I'm not gonna kill myself. Me and Junie are perfectly happy. We have each other and we have our home. We don't need anything else."

"Well, that's too bad," Jungkook repositioned his legs and ran his finger over Jun's cheek, "Cause I'm here now and I bought a place not too far away."

"I can move."

"I'll follow you," Jung looked back to him, a calm expression on his face, "It won't hurt me. You know my family's loaded. But you can only go so far. So just stay put and don't run yourself ragged."

Jimin crossed his arms tighter over his chest and clenched his jaw. Stupid Jeon Jungkook thinks he can scare Jimin into staying close? Yeah, right.

"I've gotta go job searching today, but I'll be free this weekend. I'll leave my number with you, but if you don't call I'll just show up."

"I dare you to."

"Okay, dare accepted. I'll be back Saturday around one."

"I won't let you in."

"I'll be annoying and you will."

The older rolled his eyes and picked up his phone, "To answer your earlier questions, no he can't walk, but he can stand if he holds on to something sturdy. And he's only able to say 'peas' in place of 'please'. He's only a year and three months old."

"Peas," Jungkook laughed a bit and leaned down to press a kiss to Jun Hae's forehead, "He has your fluffy cheeks."

"Mm," Jimin gave an acknowledging hum then sat up straight, "He has your eyes."

Kook looked up immediately, seeing how Jimin was closer to him and staring at their baby boy's face.

"I miss you, Jimin," Jung muttered. He used that voice that Jimin couldn't ignore no matter how hard he tried.

The older slightly turned his head to glance at Jungkook, "I can't say the same. I'm with me all the time."

Kook rolled his eyes and tilted his head back, "Ah, Jimin. You always know how to put me on edge."

"Call it a gift," Jimin swept his fingers over Jun's head, fixing his hair and smiling at the way his nose crinkled up.

Another slight pause brought Jungkook's question of, "Will you ever come back to me?"

"Jungkook," Jimin sighed and sat back from the younger.

"Have you at least considered it? At all? Have you even thought about letting me be with you two?"

Jimin clasped his hands together and exhaled, "Of course I have. I've thought about it a lot, but...what happens in my head isn't what's gonna happen in real life. You aren't the type to get on your knees and beg for forgiveness. You're the type that runs away from conflict."

Jungkook dropped his head and nodded slightly, agreeing since it was true, "Yeah, but I want to be with you guys. I wanna be around Jun Hae as he grows up and I wanna be with you and...grow old, as cheesy as that sounds."

Jimin let out a small laugh at the thought of Jungkook with grey hair and saggy skin around his neck.

"But if you think you can trust me again," Jungkook reached over and grabbed the older's wrist, "I promise I'll be everything you need."

Jimin's eyes lingered on Jungkook's fingers, on the middle one which donned the ring Jimin got the younger man for his birthday a few years back.

The ruby was still just as shiny, but the band was rusted which showed how much Jungkook wore it.

"You kept this?" Jimin tapped the ring and Kook looked down to it.

"Why would I get rid of it? It's the only thing you left me with. You even took your bedsheets. I didn't have anything to remind me of you. Of your cologne or shampoo...your body wash."

"Kind of creepy you only wanted to remember what I smell like."

"Well...before you left, when we cuddled or anything, I normally focused on how warm you were and what you smelled like."

"I knew you were never listening to me," Jimin smirked and glanced at the taller as he huffed out a small laugh.

"Only half the time," Jung said quietly, "But I miss your voice too. I haven't heard your morning voice in so long it's killing me."

"I get it," Jimin blushed, remembering a time they had phone sex early in the morning, "You can stop, I understand."

Kook moved closer, slipping Jun Hae into Jimin's arms before he wrapped the two in another hug, "I still love you, Jimin. I really do. I hope you love me too, but...if not, I'd understand."

Jimin stayed quiet.

Of course he loved Jungkook. Every time he looked at Jun Hae, he saw Jungkook. He'd remember all the time they spent together, all the laughs, the sleepovers, the small get togethers, the kisses, the sex- he'd remember everything and he realized he'd never get rid of Jungkook. And he did know that part of this was all his fault. He waited until he was three months along before he told Jungkook he was pregnant. After that, he locked himself up in his room at his parents house and the one day he left to go back to his and Kook's apartment he found Jungkook with Seokjin.

He couldn't really blame Jungkook for doing that. He knew how needy Jungkook got when he was upset or stressed or even the slightest bit worried. He'd only pushed Jungkook away after he told him, too, so it was easy to see how the younger would go to someone who's so welcoming to everyone.

"He's awake," Jungkook's arms fell to Jimin's waist and the older silently exhaled.

"He is," the smaller lightly bounced Jun in his arms.

"Do you want me to go? Are you pissed yet?"

"No, I'm not," Jimin let himself smile fully as he shook his head, "You can stay if you want."

"I do."

"Okay," Jimin nodded.

Jun Hae wiggled until he was standing in the floor between Jimin's left knee and Jungkook's right.

The toddler stared at Jungkook, looking half scared and half interested.

"Don't you ever talk to him about me? He doesn't seem to know me at all," Jungkook's brow furrowed and he reached out, smoothing his hand over the boy's hair.

"I've shown him pictures. But he's...slow...Kookie. Males don't usually have children and...my body wasn't really...equipped to nourish a child."

"What do you mean by slow?" Kook smiled as the little one sneezed then turned around, as if looking for the source of the sound.

"I mean, that he's been medically diagnosed with mental retardation."

Jungkook looked up to the smaller adult, only to see him wipe a tear away, "Jimin-"

"He almost died during the delivery," Jimin reached down and picked their son up, "The doctors hadn't ever performed a c-section on a male and they actually almost cut him. But they got him out and his umbilical cord was around his neck. My body couldn't keep up and grow with him, so he didn't have the biggest amount of room."

"Why didn't you call me? I wanted to be there. More than anything."

"He was early," Jimin shrugged, "I know your knowledge on child birth is minimal, so I didn't think you'd believe he came three months early."

"I always believe you," Jungkook sighed, "You never lie."

"I lied to my mom about you," Jimin shrugged.

"Well, yeah, but...you've never lied to me. That I know of."

Jun Hae squeaked then took a seat on the floor. Jimin stretched his leg out and pushed the coffee table back with his foot, making sure Jun wasn't going to hurt himself.

"Chim," the younger sat back in the couch and sighed as the older turned back to him.

"What?"

"I don't know, I just...missed calling you that," the taller blushed and shifted in his seat.

Jimin turned his body towards the other man, and pulled his legs underneath himself. "Why would you do that to me? To us? Couldn't you see how wrong it was before it happened?"

Jungkook stared at Jun for a minute, organizing his thoughts in a way that didn't require starting an argument.

Finally, he turned to Jimin and he shook his head, "I got scared. Again."

Jimin pressed his lips together, forcing himself to keep his hands out of Jungkook's hair.

"And Jin hyung came over to see you and I broke down. Then it all just happened and I...I don't know."

"I don't know either."

"But I regret it. I do and Jin hyung does too. We promised not to bring it up, because we didn't want to make you mad, but you already knew. And I guess that's why you left. 'Cause you're mad at us."

Jimin wouldn't lie; wouldn't coo and stroke the other's hair as he said it was alright and he never did anything wrong. And he was angry, even after a little over two years passed.

It hurt. To know that Jungkook would choose the most convenient option over the man he supposedly loved, it left wounds that Jimin believed would never heal.

"I just," the older moved so that his right knee was up in front of him and he could rest his chin on top, "You made me feel so worthless, Kookie."

"I'm sorry," the younger said immediately, his eyes already tearing up.

"It's... We can't change it now, don't cry."

"Jimin, I'm sorry. I love you. I've always loved you, and I know I can never make up for doing that, but all I want is to be a part of your and Jun's life. Maybe I don't deserve that even, but...but I've always been a little selfish."

Jimin picked at his jeans for a couple second more before he reached out and hesitantly wiped the tears off the younger's cheek, "I just told you not to cry. You never listen to your elders."

"I'm sorry."

Jimin smiled slightly and shook his head, his hand falling to the couch cushion.

"Can you...Can I do that?"

"Do what?" Jimin raised an eyebrow.

"Be in your lives. That's all I really want."

"Yeah," Jimin nodded, "Yeah, Kookie. You can do that."
