The day of the auction came and Jimin was ecstatic. He loved to see all the animals and their different breeds and colors.

Jungkook always did like watching him fawn over house pets in shops back home. This was a whole new level to Jimin, though. He wasn't admiring the playfulness of a kitten, but instead the big builds of bulls and sturdy legs of horses.

The younger would laugh every time Jimin would tell an owner something about their animal they themselves had no idea about.

"This breed of pig is usually infertile, Jungkookie. We shouldn't buy those."

"Cows with this big of a belly are prone to illness in their intestines."

"Oh, Jungkook-ah! Look! These pigs are the best breed and the brown one is so adorable!"

Jungkook would just smile and nod as they walked around. He already had a bull in mind to buy, as well as a sow.

"I can't wait until the fields are full of baby animals next summer." Jimin sighed. "Kookie, do we have enough money with us for a donkey?"

"A donkey? Why do we need a stubborn ass?"

Jimin laughed as he nodded, "They are stubborn. But a farmer I talked to earlier said he had donkeys in his field and he hasn't had a single coyote attack his animals in a year."

"Hm," Jungkook thought about the money he had brought with him. "Well, if I can get the bull cheaper than I'm thinking I can, we can bet on a donkey."

"Great," Jimin grinned, "And if need be, I brought some money with me too."

"Jimin, no. I can't let you-"

"I want too, Jungkook-ah. Besides, I hate when we lose an animal we've already named. If a donkey will help, I'll chip in."

Jungkook sighed and pushed a hand through his hair. "How much did you bring?"

"Everything I have."

Kook frowned at that. "Jimin, you've worked your whole life for that. I can't let you even pull it out of your pocket."

The older pouted at that. "You've worked your whole life for what you have. Even if it is more than me, it's still the same."

"It's not. I was given the money because my brothers didn't want the responsibility. I haven't worked for anything."

Jimin stopped walking and crossed his arms as he glanced around. "Give yourself some credit, Jungkookie. You worked every summer as a kid, did all the work on the farm, and even sometimes helped me with my duties. You worked your whole life for your father's approval. And you earned it."

Jung dropped his head and nodded slightly. "I guess. But still..."

"If I need something before my next paycheck, I'll ask Jin-hyung and pay him back after."

"No! I... If you really want the donkey we can get it along with the others. I'll buy things you need until your paycheck."

Jimin smiled and pat his back, "Sounds good. Now, the auction is starting let's go get that sow."

The animals made it back to the Jeon estate safely and Jimin wouldn't leave the holding pen for the donkey for three hours.

"He's so cute. I couldn't stop wanting to give him snacks."

Jungkook snorted at that and pushed the last three envelopes away. "Hyung."

Jimin's eyes lifted from his task and locked on to his employer.

"Can we talk? About what you said last week?"

"About...how I feel towards you?"

"No, about...how I...might not like women."

"Oh," Ji brought a cup of coffee over and sat it in front of the younger. "Go for it."

"How would I know if you're right?"

Jimin pouted at that at played with his fingers, "There's lots of different signs, I guess. Like, you can admit a woman is beautiful, but you aren't physically attracted to her. Or...well, obviously a certain man or many men make you physically aroused. Um..."

"How did you know?"

Jimin blushed and turned to look out the window. "I... didn't right away. I just thought I loved you as my best and closest friend. But...when we were teenagers, we played on the farm a lot and you fell on me one day. And I couldn't stop thinking how cute you were or how much I wanted to kiss you. And it hasn't changed. Just, now, I think you're handsome." He laughed.

Kook smiled a little and dropped his eyes to the stack of letters in front of him. "So...does physical attraction just mean...sex?"

The older shrugged, "That's different for everyone. Why?"

Jungkook shrugged next and pulled out a picture of the prettiest suitor. "I'm not sure. I just don't feel anything when I see these photos. But...the first night we shared a bed...I couldn't sleep. My heart raced, my hands shook, I could barely breathe, and I just...wanted to...be closer to you."

Jimin opened his mouth to say something, but his emotions caught in his throat and stopped him. All he could manage was "Kookie."

Jungkook's face was stained red and his hands stayed glued to his desk. "I'm not sure if I'm attracted to men...or just you. Because Seokjin hyung doesn't make me feel special. At least not like you do. His is more of a warmth I get knowing he cares about me. The warmth from you....it circles my chest and dips into my stomach. It burns when you...bat your eyes at town guards. When you give everyone attention but me."

Jimin bit his lip and moved back to the sitting area to take a seat. "So...what do you wanna do?"

Jungkook shrugged and pushed the stack of photos and letters to the side. "I'm not sure. But I don't wanna spend my nights alone anymore. I like having you there to break the silence."

"Jungkook, I hate to be rude, but I can't. Sharing a bed with you means spending more time with you. It's hard enough to control myself already." Jimin sighed and looked to the floor between his knees. "I'm next door anyway."

"Next door isn't close enough. I can't count sheep in time with your breaths and I can't warm my toes under your legs. I want you with me."

"Kookie-"

"It's an order, Jimin. As the head of this house, you'll stay with me until I figure out why you drive me so crazy."

Jimin wanted to argue with him further, but someone knocked on the office door as his words left his mouth. He quickly stood and wiped the tears off his cheeks.

"Come in," Jungkook called, a frustrated breath leaving his nose.

His older brother, Hoseok, opened the door with a smile and poked his head around the door. "Baby brother, I have good news."

"What is it?" Kook sighed out.

Hoseok pouted at that and opened the door fully. A woman and a small, small child walked in with him.

"Who is this?"

"This is Claire, and Suho. My wife and son."

"When did you get married?" Jungkook asked quietly, sliding a glass of whiskey to his brother.

"Last week. After we got in the city, we had a small wedding."

"How old is your son? Why haven't you said anything to us?!"

Hoseok laughed and got comfy in his seat, "Suho's almost a year old. He and Claire lived in France with me, and didn't have travel visas until recently. I physically couldn't let you meet them."

"Wow. How come his name is Korean and not like a weird mix of French and Korean?"

Another chuckle left the older and his eyes disappeared as he smiled. "His middle name is Joseph."

Jungkook smiled as well and leaned back in his seat. "What's it like? Being married."

"Well, for a week's worth of time, it's been great. And I have a reason for trying to get her pregnant again other than 'oops, sorry'." He laughed.

Kook let out a short laugh and rolled his eyes. "God. A kid. You're a dad!"

"I am."

Jungkook groaned and sat back up. "Are you gonna live here now? There's plenty of room."

Hoseok leaned forward with his elbows on his knees. "I want to. So Claire and Suho can meet everyone. But if they don't like it, I won't force them. And Paris is...breathtaking."

"Hm. Well, let them know they're welcome. We can always hire more staff to help Claire if she gets pregnant again."

Hoseok grinned and reached out to fill Jungkook's glass back up. "Thanks, Kook. Sounds nice."
