Jimin hadn't thought it through all the way.

He didn't consider Jungkook's mutism when he asked him out for pizza in the mall.

They sat in silence until they had finished lunch, but...Jimin sort of liked it.

Jungkook didn't say anything, therefore he wasn't trying to impress Jimin with stories or trying to flatter him with disgusting pickup lines.

The omega liked the quiet, calm, and peaceful atmosphere that came with Jungkook being beside him.

He also had time to really look at Jungkook's face. The curve of his cheekbones, the dips of his lips, the scars on his cheek and forehead.

"Jungkook-ah," Jimin said the younger's name, purely wanting to see how it fell off his lips if it were ever meant to be noticed.

The alpha looked to him, his attention no longer on the lemonade machine that looked like a waterfall in a box.

Jimin snapped back to reality, sitting up straight before he reached up to push his hair back, "Um, do you wanna...take a look around the shops?"

Jungkook shrugged and slouched over in his seat, only to push his shoulders back a second later.

Jimin giggled and stood up, "It's okay to relax around me, Jungkook-ah. C'mon, I wanna buy you something."

Kook held up his hands as if to say 'you don't have to'.

"I know I don't have to," the omega smiled, shoving his wallet into his pocket, "I just want to."

Jungkook watched as Jimin pulled his jacket on, then he stood up before Jimin could speak again.

The omega smiled then looked at the table before he pouted. Then he smirked and stacked everything onto Jungkook's tray.

The alpha scrunched up his nose at the smaller male, but picked up their trash nevertheless.

Jimin let out another giggle before he turned and walked away, leaving Jungkook behind and hoping he'd scramble to catch up. Jimin wanted to see Jungkook flustered or embarrassed. He thought dipsy alphas were cute in their own way.

But he was taken for a fool, because Jungkook was in no rush to scramble after him. The alpha was still hung up on the fact that Taehyung could still want Jimin.

"You like dark colors, huh?," Jimin smiled, pushing through the clothing racks in front of him.

Jungkook nodded once Jimin looked up.

"Well then," the omega let out a happy sigh and stretched his arms over his head, "I guess we're opposites."

Jungkook nodded slightly and kept sifting through the racks.

Jimin watched him for a minute or two, then he sighed sadly and leaned over the clothing rack beside Jungkook, "Kookie-ah, tell me the truth."

Jungkook was a bit shocked by the nickname, but he kept himself calm somehow.

"Am I annoying?"

Jungkook turned around and shook his head, his brow furrowed.

"Mm. That's good. But do you like me? At all? Be honest. Even if it's just because of my butt."

Jungkook broke on that one and blushed. He looked away from Jimin and nodded his head.

The omega smiled and stared off into the dimly lit store, listening to Jungkook go through the t-shirts. "That's good. I like you too."

"Jeon Jungkook," Taehyung made his friend look up from his tray, "I forgot. How was your date?"

"Date?," Jin slapped his chopsticks down on the table, "You had a date? With who? When? Where did you go? Were you nice to them?"

"Hyung," Taehyung and Hoseok groaned and made the oldest stop. Afterwards, they gave one another small smiles.

Jungkook just blinked at the three of them.

"Oh right!," Jin laughed at himself then handed Jungkook his phone.

Kook typed out simple responses, like Jimin, mall, pizza, shopping, then he bit his lip and glanced over to the omega's usual table.

Jimin was sat there with the tall, blonde alpha and Yoongi, laughing as the alpha rushed to clean up something.

Jungkook quickly typed down I had a nice time but he was probably bored. Don't expect another date.

Jung handed his oldest friend's phone back to him then quickly started eating again.

The other two alphas gathered around Jin and all three read over the short explanation.

"Nonsense!," Taehyung shouted, leaning more towards Jungkook now, "Jimin loves you, I'm sure of it."

Jung waved his hand at that and shifted uncomfortably in his seat, ducking his head down as he ate.

"No, Kookie," Jin nervously laughed, "I'm sure he at least likes you."

The youngest waved that off too.

"Jungkook-ah?"

Kook froze at that voice, knowing exactly who it was despite the shakiness and nervous undertone.

The youngest alpha lifted his eyes to Jin, who was seemingly urging him to do something. So Jungkook turned and looked up to Jimin, only just now noticing how the cafeteria seemed to quieten down.

"Um," Jimin's eyes flashed between his target and his target's friends, "I...was wondering if you'd wanna just...walk around before classes started back?"

The alpha stiffened, breathing even slowing. He was a statue until Taehyung punched him in the back.

At that, he started coughing, hunched over and trying to catch his breath as tears came to his eyes.

"Are you okay?!," Jimin crouched down and put his hands on Jungkook's knees.

The younger caught sight of how small Jimin's hands were against his muscles and it didn't help him catch his breath.

"You want a drink or...pat on the back or something?," Jimin lightly laughed and Jungkook shook his head.

After a minute or so, Jung had recovered and Jimin was standing again, hugging himself as he felt everyone's eyes on them.

Kook looked back to Taehyung, scowling at him before he wiped his eyes free of tears.

'Go' Taehyung mouthed.

Kook's expression softened and Tae smiled, making small shooing motions with his hands.

Jin reached over and smacked Tae's  chest.

"Ow, Jin-hyung! What?!"

"Be quiet," the omega landed another blow to his friend's arm, "He'll go if he wants to."

Jungkook caught the look on Hoseok's face, the confused 'I thought Tae would kill for Jimin' look.

Jungkook slowly stood up, collecting his things.

"We'll take care of your tray, Kookie," Taehyung smiled, reaching over to steal some of Jungkook's leftovers.

The youngest nodded then turned to Jimin, who nervously nodded and led the alpha out of the cafeteria.

They just walked for a few minutes, going into the courtyard and walking the outline of it.

Jimin was still cradling his arms against his chest, which Jungkook thought was a little off, but he didn't do anything about it.

Jimin spoke finally, a wistful smile on his face, "I get embarrassed when lots of people look at me. Sorry if all that attention made you uncomfortable, too."

Jungkook let out a harsh breath, hardly taking another in. Jimin looked pretty when the wind messed up his hair.

"You don't have to hang around with me, you know? I just enjoy having you around." The omega dropped his arms to his sides and exhaled, "Honestly, you...calm me down, in a way."

Jung blushed and looked to the ground, counting his steps.

Jimin was hesitant, almost scared, about his next move.

His fingers were so close to Jungkook's, but they weren't even slightly touching. He wanted that to change.

So, he tried to hook his fingers around the alpha's, but he got scared and pulled away.

Jungkook looked up, so Jimin dropped his head and apologized. The alpha shrugged, too nervous to notice that Jimin couldn't see it.

The omega took a deep breath, then gathered all of his courage. He calculated everything- speed, intensity, positioning, comfortability.

After a short pause, Jimin laced his fingers through Jungkook's and moved closer to the alpha.

Kook stopped walking, letting Jimin go a step ahead.

The omega looked back, seeing how Jung's eyes were unfocused.

The alpha felt that giggly feeling in his stomach. The one he felt at Yoongi's party. This feeling seemed to be the mother of the chills he'd gotten when Jimin's fingers or elbows or anything brushed against him on their date.

"Honestly...you make me want to talk."

"No....way," Jin grumbled.

"He talked."

"What'd he say?"

"We're too far away to tell, TaeTae!," Hoseok pouted.

"Just wanna know."

"Curiosity killed the cat and I will pound you, Kim Taehyung, if my baby bunny gets hurt."

"Hyung, you're an omega. Stop talking nonsense."

"Hoseok," Jin started, his tone threatening.

"I know, just let it go," the oldest alpha sighed, putting his arm around Jin's shoulders and lightly rubbing his arm.

"Yeah?," Jimin smiled, stepping towards the alpha to close the distance slightly.

Jungkook was biting his lip, debating on what to say or if he should even talk at all. "Yeah."

Jimin let out a small giggle, his lips pursed and cheeks dark pink, "Well...I'm glad."

Jungkook's expression changed to something of uncertainty and he pulled his hand away from Jimin's.

The omega stiffened, taking that as rejection, and pulled his sleeve over his fingers, "Sorry."

Jungkook furrowed his brow and looked up from his shoes, "For what?"

"Um," Jimin started hugging himself again, body tucked safely into his hoodie, "I shouldn't...you don't like me the way I like you. I shouldn't push myself on you. I'm sorry."

Jungkook froze again, watching as Jimin started to walk away.

Suddenly Jimin turned back around, eyes glossy and mouth open. He didn't say anything for a while.

Kook cautiously approached him, standing a foot away as he reached out and tapped the older's chin. "My mom says you'll catch a fly if you stand with your mouth open."

Slowly, Jimin broke out into a laugh, one that had his eyes disappearing and lips flattening as they spread.

Jungkook sort of took a mental picture and stuffed it into his memory, making sure it was filed under 'Important Stuff'. Whether that be Jimin himself or the act of making someone smile so big, he'd figure that out later.

Jimin eventually calmed down, wiped the tears from his eyes and untucked himself.

Jungkook stared at the older's hand for a bit, then looked to Jimin's face.

The older seemed lost as his giggles began to die out, and he fell into an embarrassed stance when he was fully calm.

Jungkook waited a beat before he scrambled to speak, letting out a broken noise in place of words.

Jimin quickly reached out and held his hand, hoping Jungkook would understand it to be a symbol for 'Keep going. It's okay.'

"I...I just...don't think I'm that funny," Jungkook smiled softly and dropped his head.

Jimin rolled his eyes, fingers playing with Jung's, "I think you're funny. Funny lookin' at least."

"No, are you Jin-hyung in disguise?," Kook deflated a bit, his body relaxing as Jimin stepped closer.

"No, why?"

"He does nothing but dad jokes."

"That wasn't a dad joke."

"It was a play on words. It was a dad joke."

"No."

"Absolutely."

"I see why you were quiet all the time now," Jimin scrunched up his nose and stuck his tongue out a little.

"You're weird."

"Shh," the omega giggled.

"Why? You wanted me to talk the night we met."

"No I wanted you to moa-" Jimin's posture straightened and he blushed before he looked to the ground.

Jungkook laughed lightly and Jimin pulled on his arm as he pouted. "You're a weird omega...but you're kinda cute, too."

"Hush," Jimin mumbled, "You're the one who has bunny teeth."

"And that's attractive?"

"To me," the omega shrugged, pulling Jungkook back towards the entrance.

"Mm. I guess it's no secret you're the second hottest person in this school."

"Second? Who's first? Why second?"

"Me, of course," the alpha smirked.

"Ugh!," Jimin pushed the taller and he swayed off to the side, "You made me think, like...you liked Seokjin-ssi or something."

"Jin-hyung? He's like my mom," Jung chuckled.

"Yeah? You guys are close then?"

"Very. All of us are. It's Taehyung hyung's fault, really. He talks to everyone."

"I noticed," Jimin giggled, "Guess he doesn't like me though. He always used to avoid me."

"Ah, that's...it was the opposite of hate, actually."

"Huh?," Jimin's free hand came up to grip Jungkook's bicep as best he could. He was a bit impressed by the alpha's muscle.

"Well...hyung used to like you, but....I mean, everyone likes you."

"Oh," the omega squeaked out, "I'm sure there's someone who thinks I'm annoying."

"Not likely."

"Jungkookie!," Taehyung came running from the entrance, Jin and Hoseok trailing behind.

Jimin slowly tore himself away from the alpha, blushing and hugging himself as Taehyung latched onto his friend.

"There's a gas leak in the science hall, we all get to go home!," Taehyung laughed, moving to a clear spot and twirling around.

A wave of students left the building, all of them looking like a herd behind Jin and Hoseok.

Jungkook looked to Jimin, finding him huddled against himself. He reached out and untucked Jimin's left hand, grasping it firmly.

Jimin moved closer and quietly said, "I'm scared to walk home."

Jungkook furrowed his brow, studying the omega's face. Jimin's eyes were wide, pupils blown, and they almost seemed to shimmer as the sun hit the water in them. His lips were downturned, trembling as he bit his cheek to attempt to steady them.

Kook looked over to Taehyung, finding his friend far enough away, "Want me to walk with you?"

"Where do you live?"

"Few minutes from here."

"I live too far away. I couldn't ask you to-"

"Then....come home with me and we can ask my mom to drive you home."

"Really? I'd hate to bother her."

"She likes driving," Jung shrugged.

"O-Okay then, but...but I get to make it up to you, alright?"

The alpha smiled softly, squeezing the other male's hand, "Whatever makes you feel better."

Jimin straightened his posture and gained his former air of confidence back, "Do you like sweets?"

"Uh...depends."

"Hmm....what are your thoughts on fudge brownies?"

"Too much."

"Okay," Jimin giggled, "How about...oh! Sugar cookies?"

The taller male looked to his friends, who were waiting about two yards away, their mouths agape, "I think I'd like them if you made them."

"Eomma!," Jungkook called into the house, motioning for Jimin to come in as well, "I'm home early!"

There wasn't a response so Jungkook sighed as he took Jimin's bag and sat it neatly beside his own.

"She should be home. She said she didn't have anything to do today," Jungkook pouted, "Maybe she's napping."

"We shouldn't bother her, I'll just get an uber-"

"Nonsense," the alpha took the omega's hand in his and led him into the living room, "I'll go look for her, you get comfy."

"Ah, but-"

The alpha didn't give the smaller time to finish before he was jetting up the stairs.

Jimin pouted, dropping down to sit on the edge of the couch as he hugged himself. Today was a bad day. He was beginning to question why he left the house this morning.

Then he remembered and called himself an idiot. He had something to tell Jungkook.

The alpha came back a few minutes later, causing Jimin to stand up and rush across the room to him.

"Um, Jimin-ah?"

"I'm sorry. P-Ple-Please hold me. I-I can't," a sharp inhale from Jimin made Jungkook put his arms around the omega.

"Jimin-ah, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

"I'm scared. I'm so scared and I," the omega hiccuped, his sobs breaking away from him, "I don't know why, Jungkook-ah. I ju-just fe-feel so alone."

"Oh, um...okay, well....can I...do anything to help?"

"Just hold me," the omega whispered, smashing his cheek against the taller's chest.

"Do you...wanna sit down?"

Jimin let his arms snake around Jungkook's waist and he quietly said, "Lay down."

Kook flushed at that, his full attention now on all the places Jimin was touching him.

"Is that too much?," Jimin pulled away, wiping his cheek and sniffling before another hiccup wracked his body.

"N-No, just...caught me off guard, is all. I'm not used to...having omegas in my house, let alone my room, so..." He gave Jimin the best chuckle he could, but it was shaky.

"I don't think I can believe that," Jimin muttered, lacing his hand through the alpha's.

Jungkook lightly smiled as a blush came over him, "Um...this way."

Kook led Jimin through the living room into the the kitchen, then down a small hallway. They passed the small closet where the washer and dryer sat, the washer open and dryer having the 'finished' light on.

Jimin smiled at the thought of Jungkook doing chores. He did chores at his own house, nothing big or too frequent.

At the end of the hallway was a door, one that Jungkook led the omega into.

Jimin was a bit anxious at first, then he was scared. He'd never been in an alpha's room before; while no one else was around, nonetheless.

"W-Wait, Jungkook-ah."

The taller turned around and gave Jimin the concerned face he was hoping for.

"I.... Strictly cuddles. Nothing more; I can't do that right now."

Jungkook quickly pulled the smaller closer and cupped his cheeks, "I wouldn't do that unless you wanted me to. First thing you should know about me."

Jimin nodded, "Okay....Okay, I trust you."

Jungkook lightly smiled at that, then gently reached up and pushed Jimin's bangs to the side, "You should show more of your face. You're handsome."

The omega blushed and held himself as Jungkook pushed his bedroom door open.

Jimin got a wave of Jungkook's scent as he stepped inside, causing him to cough slightly.

"Sorry," Jungkook laughed lightly, a blush spreading over his cheeks, "I usually keep my door closed, 'cause....well, no one ever comes in here besides me, my friends and my parents."

"It's okay," Jimin smiled, slipping his hand back into Jungkook's, "Can we just lay down?"

"Yeah," Jung led the omega further into the room, letting Jimin get used to his scent before he pulled back his comforter and helped the older slip underneath.

Jungkook started to move away, but Jimin caught his arm in his hands, "Kookie, wait, please don't leave."

"I'm not," the alpha smiled sweetly, tucking Jimin under the covers, "Just closing the door."

"Hurry please," Jimin muttered.

Jungkook gave a softer smile as he nodded, stepping back through the room and closing the door.

Jungkook's room was an odd shape; an L shape. It was added on by his parents when they found out his mom was pregnant.

His bed was tucked into the back of the room, in what was essentially the vertical part of the L. It was hidden along the inner wall, so Jimin was a bit scared when Kook disappeared around the corner.

The omega started playing with the blankets, wrapping himself up like a burrito as he took in the alpha's scent.

Jungkook came back thirty seconds later, a stuffed Charmander in his hands.

"What is that?," Jimin giggled once he saw it, "It's cute."

"It's a Pokémon," Kook smiled shyly, "Taehyung won it for me a few years back at Lotte World."

Jimin sat up and held out his arms. Jungkook thought
