"Kookie, aren't you coming home with me?"
Jungkook looked to Jimin and sighed, "I was but now I have things to destroy."
"C'mon," Jimin rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "Seriously, just tell me what it is."
"No."
"Is it weed?"
"No, Jimin-"
"Then what? Pills? Ecstasy? What? What is it?"
"Nothing," the younger softly smiled, "You shouldn't worry about it."
The other's expression softened, then he stepped forward before he asked, "Your dad's home by now, right?"
"Should be," Kook nodded and let his hands rest on Jimin's waist, "They just went to the store too, so I'll have a snack before I go to bed, okay? Don't worry."
Jimin leaned into the other and whined, "You should have dinner with us."
"Not today, baby," Kook mumbled, blushing when he realized he let that slip.
Jimin happily hummed and rest his head against Kook's chest, "See you tomorrow then."
"Bye," Jungkook muttered, then watched as Jimin ran over to his mom's car and got in. The window rolled down and Jimin waved to him, so he waved back.
Once Jimin was out of sight, Jungkook turned to go home. It was a long walk, but he'd have time to think of how to get rid of the bag and everything in it without his dad knowing.

"Oh," Jungkook's step mom dropped her smile as he stepped inside the house, "Thought you were your father."
"Sorry," Kook muttered.
"Hm."
Jungkook didn't bother taking his shoes off because the last time he left them at the door his dad had taken them and pawned them off.
He wasn't about to leave his beloved Timberlands laying around.
"I figured you be at that other kid's house," his step mom followed him to his room, which was probably the cleanest room in the house.
"Well, I just wanted to sleep today."
"You didn't come home yesterday, why's that?"
"Fell asleep at Jimin hyung's."
"Mm...so...you been snitching?"
"No," the male rolled his eyes, "Can you please leave? I wanna take a nap."
"Yeah, sure," she sighed and walked away.
Jungkook shut the door and sighed as he walked to his bed.
He wasn't tired before. He could've gone to Jimin's and napped anyway. He knew the older wouldn't have cared. But he just needed to be by himself.

"Wake up, kid!," Jungkook jolted awake at the sound of his door hitting the wall.
He sat up and looked up to his dad, just before a hard punch knocked him to the floor.
"You get your shit and get out!"
"What?," Kook picked himself up and held back the tears as he stared at his father, "Why?!"
"You know why!"
Kook shook his head, trying to think of something he could possibly have done. His eyes flicked to his doorway and he found his stepmom with mascara tracked down her cheeks.
"I've put a roof over you head for sixteen years and you repay me by raping my wife. Get out!"
"What? I- Dad I didn't touch her! I've been here all evening; I was asleep!"
"Don't talk back to me!"
"Dad-"
"You can leave by yourself or I can throw you off the porch. Your call."
"Dad!"
The older male turned and walked out of the room, pushing pass his wife.
The woman acted hurt at first, but her eyes fell to Jungkook and her frown turned neutral.
"Why would...why would you lie like that?"
She shrugged.
"I don't have anyone else! My dad was all I had left. Do you understand that?! Where am I supposed to go!?"
The woman lifted her arm, bringing a bottle of champagne to her cherry red lips. Then she walked off, following his father.
Kook fell to his bed and curled up, burying his nose in Jimin's hoodie.
Why today? Why did she have to do this today? He expected something like this, but just not today.

Jimin was at the top of the stairs when his mom opened the door.
She gasped and Jimin heard a small "Ms. Park."
"Jungkook, please, come in."
Jimin rushed down the stairs, but stopped once he saw Jungkook's face.
"Kookie..."
"Sorry I woke you guys up. But I didn't have anywhere else to go, so...I just...this is the first place I thought to go."
"That's okay," Jimin's mom nodded, her eyes fixed on the welt decorating the left side of Jungkook's face, "C-Come into the kitchen. We'll get you some ice okay?"
"Thank you," Jungkook muttered.
Jimin hopped down the stairs and took the blanket from the younger's arm and his bag off his shoulder, "I'll put this in my room, okay?"
"Hyung, I'm sorry."
"No," Jimin sighed, "It's not your fault, Jungkook. It's never your fault."
"She lied," the younger croaked out, "She lied to him and he..."
"It's okay," Jimin whispered, his hand rubbing circles into the taller's back, "You don't have to tell me. It's okay."
Jimin mom exhaled at the scene before she continued into the kitchen.
Jimin lightly kissed the other's forehead then urged him to follow Ms.Park.
"I'll be right back, just go take care of that bruise."
"It hurts worse than a bruise."
Jimin didn't have the heart to tell him the left side of his face looked like a boil, "You'll be okay."
"Hyung?," Jungkook called as the older started up the stairs.
"Yeah Kookie?"
"Thank you."
The older smiled then hurried upstairs to his room.
He placed Jungkook's things on his bed then hurried down to the kitchen.
He found Jungkook on the counter while his mom held an icepack to his face.
She was staring at the younger male with those concerned mother eyes and Jungkook couldn't bare to look back at her.
"Who did this to you?"
"Mom-"
"Jimin, hush! Who did this, Jungkook?"
Kook closed his eyes and Jimin moved over to stand in front of the younger's knees.
"Answer me."
"Mom, please, don't-"
"My parents."
"Kookie!"
Jimin's mother pursed her lips and shook her head, "Do you have any other relatives to stay with?"
"No...no one wants me. My dad tried that years ago, Ms. Park. He told them I'm a troublemaker and none of them wanted to deal with me."
Jimin frowned and grabbed his boyfriend's hand, "Kookie."
"She said I raped her, hyung. I didn't touch her. I went home and took a nap. I didn't touch her."
The older male dropped his head and Jimin's mother furrowed her brow.
"Your mother?"
"His step mother," Jimin whispered, "She's terrible. She's the one who gave him a black eye. Kookie, did you eat?"
The younger stayed silent, but after a while shook his head.
Ms. Park grabbed Jimin's hand and put it over the ice pack while she moved to the refrigerator and pulled out a bowl of fried rice.
"I expected you yesterday," she mumbled before putting the bowl in the microwave.
"Hyung," Kook whispered.
"Don't defend her. She lied about something really horrible. She doesn't deserve to have your tears. Don't cry."
"Thank you."
"Stop thanking me. I wouldn't do this if I didn't want to."
Jungkook let out a small laugh then sniffled, "You sound like Yoon Gi hyung."
Jimin's eyes widened and then he blushed, "Maybe it's something common amongst short people."
Jungkook let out a laugh that had a bit more strength behind it before he reached out and cupped Jimin's cheeks.
Ms. Park gently sat the bowl down on the table and called Jungkook over before she left the room.
Jimin waited for a minute before he surged forward and pressed a messy kiss to the younger's lips.
Jungkook didn't fight it nor reciprocate it, he just closed his eyes and exhaled through his nose.
Jimin pulled back with a small gasp and a sniffle, his eyes watering ever so slightly, "You should eat. Okay? After that you can shower...brush your teeth."
"I'm okay hyung."
"No you're not! You're not! This is not okay. You shouldn't have to...," Jimin put his hand over his mouth and hiccuped, "You're too sweet to be treated this way."
Jungkook slid off the counter and wrapped his arms around the shorter, "Hyung, I'm fine."
"Jungkook, please. Please eat something. It'll make me feel so much better, can you please do that for me?"
"Yeah," Jungkook nodded and softly smiled, "Calm down, hyung. I'm alive and I'm here."
"I know," Jimin nodded, standing on his toes to kiss the other's cheek a few times, "And I'm so grateful for that."
"I can sleep with you tonight, right?"
"Of course."
"M'kay...you should go get some sleep. We have school tomorrow."
"Yeah," Jimin sniffled, "Keep this ice on here alright?"
"Okay. Goodnight."
"Goodnight? I'm waiting up for you, doofus."
Jungkook smiled and brought his hand up to hold it over Jimin's.
The smaller male blushed and pulled his hand away, his fingers quickly becoming warmer.
Jimin smiled then slowly left the kitchen as Jungkook took a seat at the table.

Jimin watched his mom as she paced around her bedroom, grabbing papers and dropping them on her bed.
"This is ridiculous," she finally said, "Anyone who can treat a child this way shouldn't be able to call themselves a parent. They're monsters."
Jimin leaned against the door frame and waited for a minute before he mumbled, "He can fit everything he owns in one backpack."
"Jimin-"
"He told me a long time ago that he doesn't even have a closet. His step mom uses it. He has three outfits of clothes, four pairs of underwear and four pairs of socks. He has one pair of brown Timberland boots and a leather jacket he wears year round. He's been living this way for four years."
His mother let out a small noise and Jimin's eyes flicked up from the carpet, "I wanna help him, Momma. I'll get a job, I'll sell stuff I don't need...I'll do anything, but please-"
"Jimin-"
"Please let him stay," Jimin pushed off the wall and uncrossed his arms, "Momma, me and the hyungs are all he's got now. His own father turned against him for some drunk, drugged out, abusive bitch. He needs us. He needs to know we still love him."
"Jimin, I don't know. I can't tell you right now. Please go to bed. Turn off your alarm. The both of you are staying home tomorrow."
Jimin bit his lip then nodded, "Okay. Goodnight."
"I love you, Jimin."
"I know. I love you too."

Jimin was comfy and had just gone back to bed when his door closed.
The sound of it shutting made him turn over. He saw the tall blurry figure of Jungkook at the foot of the bed, crouched down and going through his backpack.
"Kookie."
The younger jolted and looked up to his boyfriend, "Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you."
"It's fine. Just lay with me. I wanna hold you."
"H-Hyung I...I don't...I'm sorry, but I just don't want to be touched right now."
"Will you stay lay with me?"
Jungkook paused for a while then started looking through his bag again, "Yeah."
Jimin relaxed and watched the blurry figure for about two more minutes before he pulled a crumpled brown paper bag out.
"Kookie."
"You can look at it, if you really want to."
Jimin sat up and ran his hand through his hair then grabbed his glasses and put them on.
Jungkook wearily laid the bag on the bed and moved around to the other side.
Jimin waited for a few minutes before he pulled the bag open and peered inside. Then he sighed and pulled the handful of condoms out, "This is it?"
"Yeah," Jungkook sat down and crossed his legs like a child in school.
"Kookie, I have these-"
"What?"
"Yeah," Jimin dropped the condoms back in the bag then leaned over to his nightstand where he pulled a box out and dropped it on the bed.
"Hyung!"
"What? My mom started to get them for me when I was your age. I haven't used any of them of course, and most of the time they dry out and she just replaces them while I'm at school."
"I just...I didn't want to...bring sex up. At all. Sorry."
"It's fine," Jimin shrugged and stuffed all the condoms into his nightstand, "We just got together. It's not that big of a concern. Especially now."
"I'm fine."
"No you're not. Don't tell me you are. You don't have to pour your soul out right now, but I'll be here to listen whenever you need me to."
Jungkook reached down and grabbed his blanket before he wrapped himself in it and laid down, "Thanks Jimin."
The older smiled and reached out to touch the other, but he stopped himself, "No problem Kookie. Sleep well. Momma said we can stay home today, by the way."
"Okay."

Jungkook woke up alone, but he could hear noises throughout the house.
Everything was calm and Jungkook felt safe, although his head hurt and face felt sore.
He laid in bed for a little while then pushed himself up slowly.
He dragged himself out of bed, blanket around his shoulders, and made his way downstairs to the kitchen where he heard sizzling and glass clinking against glass.
When he stepped into the room, Jimin looked up and smiled as he sat three glasses beside the plates on the table.
"Morning Jungkook-ah," Ms. Park called from the stove.
"Good Morning."
"How're you feeling?," Jimin asked quietly as he made his way around the table.
Jungkook reached out and pulled Jimin inside the confines of his blanket, "Headache."
"I'll get you some aspirin," Ms.Park smiled as she passed them.
Jimin inhaled and smiled as he wrapped his arms around the taller's neck, "You look comfy."
"You left me," the younger pouted.
"Sorry," Jimin giggled, "Me and Momma wanted to make breakfast for you. Eggs, sausage, rice with sugar, cinnamon rolls-"
"Cinnamon rolls?!"
"Mhm," Jimin nodded, "Momma's recipe, better than any store bought or Jin-hyung produced cinnamon roll."
"Mm, I don't know about that. I'll believe it when I taste it. Jin-hyung's a legit cook."
"And Momma's a mom."
"So is Jin hyung."
"Touché."
The footsteps on the stairs made Jimin pull away from Jungkook. He had already told his mother they were together, but he didn't know if Jungkook would be okay with being cuddly in front of his mom.
"Here you go, Jungkook-ah," Ms. Park handed him two pills and Jimin quickly moved to pour the taller a glass of milk.
"Thank you Ms. Park."
"Mm, that makes me feel old. Call me Jisoon, okay?"
"A-Are you sure?"
"Absolutely. I always know what I'm talking about, so don't ever question me," she grinned.
"Yes ma'am," Jungkook smiled, taking the glass from Jimin when the older male offered it.
"Jisoon."
"Jisoon-ssi."
"No, no honoraries," she tapped Jungkook on the nose, "Just Jisoon."
