Sara's POV:

"You're still here," I whisper softly, as I wake wrapped in Andre's arms.

"Was I meant to leave in the middle of the night?" He replies softly.

"You could have, I wouldn't have been offended," I roll over, now facing him. "Didn't you only come for the one thing you got last night?"

He places his hand on my cheek, stroking it gently. "No. I want you to come home Sara, and I want to put an end to this."

"The only way we can put an end to this, is if you stop being such an asshole to your daughter and be part of her life again. You know she's four months pregnant and last night she told me they're having a son."

"A son? I'm sure Jex will be happy about that. He has himself an heir to the Viper throne."

I roll my eyes and sit up. "This is the kind of stuff I'm talking about Dre. These are the comments you make that get me off side. Of course Jex is happy and so is Bella, they're both extremely happy. I wish you'd give them a chance to show you that. She can't help that she fell in love with someone you don't agree with Dre."

"If it was anyone else in the world I could probably come to terms with it, but a Viper? You know the history Sara."

"Then maybe you need to start seeing Jex as a person and not as a Viper, because you've no idea how good he is to your daughter. There isn't a man in this world that could love her more then he does."

"I think I might," he says with a huff.

"I think she'd disagree with you on that one. After all it's not you who's trying to put her pieces back together, or holding her when she cries. It's not you showing and telling her how much you love her, it's you that's hurt her in the first place Andre."

"Blunt much," he lets out a deep sigh.

"I'm not coming home until you accept the man our daughter has chosen to be with. If you can't do that, head back downstairs to the girl behind the desk and don't come looking for me again."

...

Bella's POV:

I wake feeling sore all over this morning. Making up with Jex really took it out of me, but he's worth it.

Slipping out of bed I make my way down the hall and begin making breakfast for the two of us (or three of us I should say), while Jex sleeps.

If our small argument made me realise anything yesterday, it's that Jex really does love me beyond anything. No matter what he is always putting me first and showing me how much he cares. I feel silly for ever doubting it, even for just a second.

As much as I wish we didn't have the argument he's right. It has taught us a lot, and this morning I feel happy for the first time in weeks. The smile on my face is no longer fake, because now I know that no matter what happens, I will always have Jex by my side. Losing my family really hurt. As much as I wish that it didn't happen it did, and I can't change that. This morning I realised that if I had to choose between Jex and my family again, I'd choose Jex every single time.

Once breakfast is complete I plate it up and place it down on the kitchen bench. I then make my way back down the hall and into the bedroom to wake Jex.

When I enter the room, much to my surprise he's still asleep. Usually, the smell of food is enough to make him, but I guess he's worn out as well.

"Jex," I say loudly from the doorway.

"Mm?" He groans.

"I made breakfast."

"No, come back to bed," he groans.

I giggle softly and make my way over to the bed, then pounce on him. "Jexxy, come on," I tickle his sides.

He opens one eye and grabs my hips, flipping us and begins tickling me back in revenge. "Jex," I giggle loudly, as I squirm trying to get away from him. "Stop."

"Give me, hmm, five kisses and I might think about it," he says with a grin, as he continues.

"Jex it's not wise to tickle a pregnant lady," I giggle some more.

He stops his attack and touches his lips with his pointer finger. I giggle softly and sit up, pressing six kisses to his lips.

"What was the sixth one for?" He grins.

"Because I love you," I give him an Eskimo kiss. "Now come on, breakfast is getting cold."

...

Sitting across the table from one another, now extremely full, Jex finishes his coffee and looks over at me once more. "Should we leave the house and do something today? Seeing as I'm not needed at work."

"Yeah, that sounds nice. What did you have in mind?"

"Maybe we could just go for a walk along the beach or something."

I giggle loudly and nod my head as I sip my tea.

"What? Why is that funny?" He knits his brows together.

"You're just so cheesy."

"I am not," he huffs playing. "Damn, a man wants to do something nice for his pregnant girlfriend and he's a cheese ball."

I giggle once more and stand up. I take my empty plate with me, then make my way over to him and pick up his empty plate as well. "Yes, but you're my cheese ball," I press a kiss to the top of his head. "I'll be ready in ten."

...

Jex's POV:

Maybe Bella's right. Maybe I am cheesy, but today I have so much more planned than just taking Bella to the beach. Today is the day, I'm finally going to ask Bella to be my wife.

Making our way hand in hand down to the sand, I slip my free hand into my pocket feeling the ring box still inside.

"You okay?" Bella questions with a smile, as she looks up at me from my side.

"Yeah, I'm fine baby," I smile down at her. "Why?"

"You've just been a little quiet since we left home," she nudges me playfully.

"Don't start a game you can't finish," I grin.

"You wouldn't hurt me," she wraps her arm around my back, dropping our hands.

"No, I wouldn't," I wrap my arm around her shoulders and press a kiss to her head.

Once we find a quiet spot I take her hand once more and we sit down together on the sand, overlooking the ocean. "It's so nice here," Bella smiles. "I can't imagine not living near the beach."

"Me either, it's one of the things I've always loved most about this place. It's also one of the reasons I didn't pack up and leave after I lost mom."

"Did you think about it? Leaving I mean?"

"I did," he nods. "Without her I didn't see much point of being here. But I guess everything happens for a reason."

"Mmm," she hums softly looking up at me.

"If I had've left I would've never met you, would I?" I press a kiss to her head.

"Aw Jexxy," she giggles softly.

"I uh, I have something that I wanted to talk to you about."

"Oh?" She moves back slightly, looking up at me.

"It's not bad, well at least I hope it's not bad. I uh, I have something to give to you. I got it for you about three months ago and I've been waiting for the right time to give it to you."

"What is it?" She smiles, a hint of excitement in her eyes.

"To be honest I don't even know if this is the right way to do it, or if there even is a right way. But uh ...," I slide my hand into my pocket and pull the black box from my pocket. I open it, showing her the engagement ring. "Bella I was wondering if, you'd marry me?"

Gasping she looks at the ring and then back at me. "T-this is the ring I picked for Alyssa."

Chuckling softly I shake my head. "No baby, it's the ring you picked for yourself. I've had it since the day after you picked it or rather, since the day after you chose me."

"M-mine?" She touches her chest gently. "But Jex this ring cost a lot of money, I didn't know it was for me or ..."

"Bella," I press my finger to her lips. "The question here isn't how much the ring was; the question is, will you marry me?" I chuckle softly.

She nods her head. "Yes Jex, I'll marry you," she wraps her arms around me.

I hold her close for a moment, before pulling away and slide the ring onto her finger.

"Wow," she breathes out. "I ... I can't believe it's mine. We're getting married," she looks up at me once more. "Holy shit, we're getting married."

I chuckle once more and nod. "Yes baby, we're getting married."
