You walk into your bedroom, lying down on the bed beside Jenna. She's lying on her stomach with her face hidden in her pillow.

You brush her hair to the other side and kiss her neck softly, running your hand along her back. She turns to face you; eyes still closed as she cuddles into you.

"Baby, you need to wake up. We have a road trip planned, remember?" You laugh softly, kissing her forehead.

She nods against your shoulder, mumbling, "5 more minutes."

If you tried, you couldn't deny her, so you lay back down. She nuzzles your neck as her arm rests over your stomach.

"You still haven't told me where we're going", she mumbles sleepily. You rub her back slowly as you smile to yourself. "I'm not telling you anything else. You weren't supposed to know about the road trip in the first place, but I suck at keeping things from you."

She giggles, lifting her head to kiss your cheek. "I've got you wrapped around my finger", she teases. You roll your eyes playfully, but you know she's right.

Jenna lifts herself up and runs her hand through her hair. She looks back at you and only now notices you're already dressed.

She pecks your lips before going to the bathroom to shower and get ready. You return to the kitchen to make breakfast for you both.

As you finish making breakfast, you feel her hug you from behind. You smile, leaning back into her, and she kisses your cheek.

You both enjoy your breakfast before getting ready to head out. You've packed your bags and have snacks and drinks prepared in the car.

You lock your apartment door and go to the car where Jenna is already sitting. You get in and put on your seat belt.

"Ready to go, my love?" you turn to her. She nods, and you start driving. After about 20 minutes, she puts her hand on your leg.

"You're not gonna tell me where we're going?" she pouts. You sigh and decide to give in.

"New York", she looks at you surprised. "Baby, we just left LA, and that's on the other side of the country."

"We talked about going to New York soon anyway. We both miss it and since I planned the road trip, I thought going there would make sense," you explained.

She nods, about to say something else before you interrupt. "Before you say anything, I cleared our schedules for two weeks. You need a break Jenna, you've been working so hard recently, and I know you're exhausted" You briefly look at her to find her already looking at you with a smile.

"I love you, baby. Thank you for doing this." she sniffles. You look at her again and see her tearing up.

"Well shit, I thought this was a great idea, and now it made you cry", you joke, kissing her hand softly.

She laughs, squeezing your hand. "I'm just so happy, darling. It's a great idea, I promise."

You lean over and kiss her quickly before looking back at the road. She picks out some music, and you sing along, talking and making jokes.

You feel glad that you're able to take this break with her. She means everything to you; you're happy to see her enjoying herself.
