1 year later

Jacob POV

"So there is 19 of them. Let's just move 10 of them to mansion G and the others to mansion D simple." Kendrick said. A small pack with no Alpha is moving into our place pack and a majority of them have no place to live.

"Mansion D is being remodeled, so that's out of the question." Noah said.

"Moved them to A. Give a family of 2 start them off at 7,000 dollars a month, Family of 3 9,500, and four 11,400, five 13,000. That should settle them in for a couple of months. We should cut them off as soon as they are stabled or after 10 months. That's there plan."

"Alright cool," Kendrick said.

"Would that be all Alpha." Jen said. Jen was one of my guards that runs around do shit for me.

"You all can leave now." I said dismissively. I got back to my work, I had enough to last me all night.

Three hours into my work Gregory came through my door. "Gregory this better be fucking important, or I swear..."

"Alpha I don't know if this concerns you but your sister and some human girl almost got killed today."

"Wait bring that back, HUMAN!" I exclaimed. "What the fuck was she doing with a human girl in the woods?" I said getting up. "Where are they?"

"Your sister is fine, the girl she has a large gash on her back. She are in pack infirmary west."

"Alright I'll be there in 15 minutes, where is my mother?"

"She is already there with your sister," Gregory said.

"Okay leave." I said grabbing my car keys I rushed downstairs I couldn't help but feel like my mate was the little human girl. "I swear who ever did this I'm going to kill them." I growled as I got into my car. When I got there I saw my mom sitting and my sister sleeping on her lap.  When my mom saw me she gently took my sister off of her and laid her on the chair and rush towards me.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Well Katie and her friend were playing in a  restricted area and one of our wolves just lost his mate and he was out of control. They called her dad and he is on his way." She explained.

"Wake her up." I told my mom.

"No. She has been crying all day and she is worried that you will hurt her because of what she'd done, I promised her you wouldn't get mad."

"You promised her I wouldn't get mad, that's not my fucking problem what is she doing in the woods anyways!" I shouted.

My mother pushed me back shushing me, "Please don't overreact." She pleaded.

"Where is the girl?"

"They gave her stitches, I think she is sleeping. Let me show you where her room is."

She took my hand and led me to her room, as I got closer her scent got stronger my wolf was shaking he was angry, he smelt our mate
blood. He was pushing through the surface and honestly I am so close to letting him out.

We walked into the room and I and she was in her bed laying down her eyes were closed she had breathing mask on her face. While there was a nurse checking her vitals.

"Good evening Alpha," she greeted.

I nodded my head and she left. I looked at my mate she was so defenseless, she looked so weak. I got closer to her and put my hand in her head. "She's your mate isn't she?" My mom said.

"No," I responded.

"If she wasn't your mate you wouldn't be next to her looking like you lost someone you loved dearly. Baby I know she is your mate."

"I'm going to kill whoever did this to her." I said.

"No... don't do that," she said.

I ignored her, "Mom can you leave?"

She sighed, "Fine I'll leave you too alone. Her dad will be here soon, don't worry about explaining anything to him he already understands." She kissed my cheek and left. I pulled a chair and sat next to her holding her hand. My wolf was angry as well he wanted to taste the blood of whoever did this to his mate but he didn't want to leave her not yet and I didn't either.

I texted Kendrick to capture whoever did this and put him in the cells. I would definitely enjoy killing slowly and painfully, if I wasn't for me being around my angel I would've spazzed out and killed something. But there was a aurora around her making me want to be calm, and I really didn't want to leave her.

I kissed her hand and stayed with her all night.

She her soon eyes fluttered open, she looked around than at me. She took her mask off, "I don't think you should take that off love." I said fixing it back on for her.

The nurse came in "Amazing you are awake." She came on the opposite side of the bed, "Do you remember what happened?" The nurse asked. She shook her head, "Well okay, your dad isn't able to make it so your mom is here. I'll go get her." She said walking out.

Scar turned to me and shook her head violently, taking her mask off. "Please don't leave me here with her," she said with a worried look on her face.

" I won't, it's okay I won't let anything happen to you. Put you mask back on." I assured her.

A woman walked in, she looked like she was in her late 30s, "Scarlett," she called walking in coming to the opposite side of the bed. "Your dad is worried sick." She said. Scarlett just rolled her eyes. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there, forgive me." She reached her hand out to shake mine. I shook it awkwardly. "Okay Scarlett get up we have to go."

"I don't think she can." I said.

"Well she is certainly going to have to get up its getting late and I have an appointment tomorrow at the hair salon." She said. "Nurse wrap her things up in a bag, she is going home."

"I'll ask the doctor if she is stable enough to go home." The nurse replied.

The doctor came in, "Good evening Mrs. Meyer, Mr. Young. I will be her doctor for the remainder of the night. My name is Dr.Fran, I hear you want to take her home now."

"She isn't going anywhere," I spoke.

"I agree Mr. Young we don't want her wound to open and bleed out. But how about we keep her for the rest of the night and we will check her wound." She said reading Scarlett's chart.

"Oh hell no, I am not going to stay here all night for this brat. She isn't even my child." She said storming out, " I will tell her dad to come and pick her up but if you honestly think I'm going to wait you have another thing coming."

Scar took off her mask, "She is evil." Scar said.

Dr. Fran laughed, "Mr.Young do you mind stepping out so I can check her wound?"

I nodded my head, "I should leave anyway, I need to deal with the person that did this to you." I said kissing her hand, "Goodnight Scarlett."

"Goodnight Mister," she said.

"Where is he?" I shouted my voice boom through the wall of the cells. Blood will be spilled today and I promise to will not be pretty.

"He is right here." Kendrick shouted from the end of the cells.

I walked towards him, and opened the cell and saw a man sitting on the floor with silver chains around his wrist. I grabbed him by his neck and lift him above the ground. My nails grew into claws and pierced his neck slowly. He  held on to my wrist trying to pull me off struggling to breathe. Blood began to spill, my
wolf satisfied with this but he wanted more. I threw him against the silver bars, he screamed.

"Get up!" I shouted at him. He stood and I slammed his head against the bars hard enough to kill him. I walked out of the bloody cell, Kendrick hand me a wet towel I used it to clean myself but I definitely need a shower after this. "I'll see you tomorrow Kendrick." I said walking away throwing the towel on the floor. I walked upstairs and out of the pack house and to my car.

When I reached to my house I took a long shower, I had paper work to do that I couldn't neglect. When I finished taking a shower I put some clothes on an threw away the dirty bloody ones. I walked to my kitchen and saw my mom hold a plate with a lid on it, "The nurse told me you came home. I thought you were hungry so I brought you some leftovers from tonight's dinner." She said handing it to me. I took it from her hand, "Thanks mom."

"Did you kill him?" She asked.

"So what if I did?" I asked.

She sighed, "I just want to make sure you know what you are doing."

"I know what I'm doing mom."

"You know you have to stop seeing her right?" My said.

I looked and sighed, "Mom.."

"Don't mom me, the more she gets out the more she will get comfortable in the woods and she will get hurt. We can't have that." She said, she was making a valid point but I doesn't change the fact that I will miss her.

"Jacob if you really love her, protect her from a distance. Keep her safe. I love you, I have to go though. I'll tell your father you said hi." My mom said kissing my cheek.
