Lilian let out another grunt of despair, she and Megan had spent the last two hours in the training room, practicing with their powers. For a couple of weeks now Megan had decided to help Lillian learn to have better control of her powers, so that's why they were here, training to make Lillian trust herself and achieve a good management of her powers.

"It's difficult" Lillian had a deep frown, exhaustion and frustration in her voice.

"Come on Lil, one more time. I trust you." Megan encouraged her partner. With a small sigh Lillian decided to listen to Megan's words and try again. The task was to pass a test circuit, the challenge was to ensure that no virtual weapon hit you, you had to use your powers to attack and protect yourself.

Lillian positioned herself at the start and gave the indication that she was ready, Megan started the simulation. The first phase of the circuit was about speed, you had to be fast enough to avoid the large number of arrows that were heading towards you; Lillian already knew the circuit so it was not so difficult for her to remember what was coming, she increased her speed with her power while keeping a shield around her to avoid the arrows, some arrows were redirected away from her with air blasts that she generated with her hands.

Finishing the first phase, the next was about skill and strategy; 20 virtual dummees appeared from everywhere, the challenge was to defeat them before they defeated you, Lillian thought quickly, decided to keep her shield and create a swirl of air to throw her opponents off balance, then used all the air in that whirlpool to create a strong explosion that finished them.

At the end of that phase, Lillian knew that the last one was beginning, the one that she still couldn't overcome after so many attempts; she sighed deeply and braced herself for what came next. This part of the circuit was about pure control, using your power to control the situation around you, it was power against power; for Lillian it was large amounts of air that surrounded her in a closed room, she had to control that air if she didn't want to receive strong blows thanks to it.

It began, gusts of air quickly surrounded her causing her to lose her balance a bit, but she recovered and began to use her power to control the air; for her it was something difficult and tiring, since until now she hadn't put her powers up to such a great challenge. Lillian concentrated a lot, she followed all the advice that Megan had given her during all the weeks that she had been training with her, with a lot of effort and work, some groans and grunts, Lillian managed to control the situation, successfully controlling the element, thus ending the circuit.

She was a bit surprised, she had really done it, it was the first time she had finished the tests successfully. She got excited and ran over to Megan, wrapping her in a big hug.

"I did it, I did it! Oh my god, I did it Meg!" Lillian exclaimed excitedly to her friend's ear.

"I told you you would make it Lil, you were flawless." Megan congratulated her. She was proud of Lillian, she knew that the girl struggled with her powers, so she was glad that after so many weeks practicing Lillian could use her powers to their full capacity and with great control.

"That was amazing Lily." Said a third voice. It was Liam who was entering the training room, apparently he was watching the whole circuit of his little sister. The two girls turned a little stunned by the unexpected voice. But Lillian's face immediately lit up when she saw her brother's proud face.

"Thanks Liam." Lillian released Megan and lunged into her brother's arms instead.

"How long have you been watching our training session?" Megan asked, approaching the pair.

"Long enough to see that Lily has improved a lot, thanks to your help Megs." Liam was aware of their practice runs, he stood aside and waited to see the moment her little sister finally trusted and embraced her powers.

"I didn't do anything, Lillian was the one who worked hard to get here." Megan only considered herself as that pinch of pressure she needed to fully concentrate in achieving the goal.

"Are you crazy? Without you I would never have made it, it's all thanks to you." Although she was drenched in sweat and sore from all sorts of places, Lillian seemed no less enthusiastic. After the time they spent together, she expected a thicker bond, from her side it was stronger and she could only hope that for Megan it was too.

"Well aside from coming to see your progress, I came to inform you that were having a day in the pool." He took the credit of being the mastermind behind this idea. A big mission was set for the day after, so some time to have fun, relax and have a sense of normal would definetly set well for them.

"I like the sound of that." It had been a while since Lillian had been in the pool, it was certainly sweet news for her ears.

"Great, then both of you go change, we'll see you there in 30." Liam quickly explained as he headed for the exit. "Oh by the way, I think Ava is waiting for you in her room." He stopped to say at the door before leaving.

"Well lets not keep drama queen waiting." Megan teased and walked, giving Lillian little time to react and start following her to the dorming wing.

----

After a breef 10 minute shower brake, the both brunettes found eachother outside in the hall. Once the two of them reached the bedroom door, it took a single knock on the wood for a pair of hands to quickly yank them inside.

"You finally arrived, we have little time to get ready." Ava's mom mode on.

" We're sorry." Like if that would help.

"Well that doesn't matter anymore, now I just have to find waht we'll be wearing." The blonde guided them into her closet where she was fast to put her hands into work.

"Ava relax, what we wear isn't that important, we'll just be with the boys." The nonchalantly tone to that phrase gave it the excact meaning Lillian wanted it to have.

"Well maybe, but that doesn't mean we don't have to look pretty." They watched her flipping through a large selection of swimsuits. "Okay, I already chose my two options, and I think I already found yours." She turned around to face the girls with a few swimsuits in her hands. "Let's try them on."

Blondie was the first to head to the bathroom and try on her options, while the other two waited paitently on the bed. First, she came out with a more sporty look black two pieces, floral details giving it the touch to match her personality, it had a decent score. Two minutes later she came out again, but with a more vibrant outfit this time, the vivid yellow color of it matching fairly with her skin tone.

"Well what do you think?" Ava had bigger hopes for this one. She looked at herself in the full length mirror, waiting for a positive response.

"Depends." Megan tricked her with this, now she was intrigued.

"On what?" She asked finding Megan's eyes in the mirror's reflection, catching the moment the smirk apeared in those wicked lips.

"On who you want to impress." It was imposible for her to know. Wasn't it?

Ava's eyes widened upon her words, turning to look at them with a tint of crimson red flush slowly paiting her cheeks.

"What? ... wh... wha... what are you talking about?" The nervous stutter blowed away the horrible attempt of a smile, trying to keep up with her lie.

"Oh come on, you really thought we wouldn't notice the exchanged looks with Spencer? Or the amount of time you've been spending together latetly?"Lillian taunt with a smile, moving her eyebrows up and down in a sugestive way. Ava only blushed more.

"Is it really that visible?" She thought they hid it very well, did everybody else see that easily?

"At least for us it was. What's happening between you two?" Lillian wanted to be mad at her for not telling her about this earlier, but she wasn't in the position to judge anyone. All she wanted was for Ava to be happy and if she had found it with Spencer, then Lillian couldn't be more excited for her two friends.

"Nothing serious for now, but I think we're..." she thought of a suitable word for it. "..trying?" That was the best way of defining their relationship at the moment, the beginning of something she hoped blossomed into something bigger.

"Keep this one." Megan brought the attention back to the first point. Ava looked at herself in the mirror once again, nodding to the image she saw.

"Okay, this one will be." Ava grabbed two other bathing suits and handed them to Lillian. "Your turn."

It took Lillian around seven minutes to change in and out of her two options, deciding between the three of them that a slick, green one-piece went well with her style.

Then it came to Megan's turn, her two options where neutral colored with edgy cuts in risky places, trying each one of them, she took her personal time infront of the bathroom mirror. She never cared about what other people could think about her or her image, but then again she never had to be this exposed before people she enjoyed being with.

She traced some of her more visible scars with the touch of her fingers, they spread throughout her body like a cursed memory that would forever haunt her about her past.
There was nothing more to do about it so she faced the judges expressing no doubt, they decided she looked jaw dropping with an all black two-pieces.

"I've never seen your tattoos up close, they're impressive." Lillian was at her side admiring the art in her skin. Megan whispered a thanks and gave a small and brisk smile, the negative thoughts coming back to her head.

"Have I showed you this crazy scar I have at the back of my neck?" Ava moved her hair to a side and stood infront of the mirror to try and see it while showing it to the other two. "Thieves entered our house once, I got throwed out of a window, after that Ben forbit me to stand next to glass objects for five months straght." She noticed Megan's incomfort from before, maybe showing her own scars would be at help.

"That's insane." Lillian giggled with the story. "I have this one since I was six, Liam pushed me down a hill on a skateboard." She remembered it with a smile, the scar crossing across her knee in a perfect diagonal was a memory of her life before the chaos.

Megan crossed a look with Ava, that was the moment she knew she had read her thoughts, she learned with the time she had been living with the team that Ava constantly did it, but it didn't bother her, if she wanted she could easily block her mind from the reach of Ava's powers, but she prefered to leave it that way.

They shared a smile for the stories and then put on semi-sheer robes over their outfits before leaving Ava's room.

When the three girls reached the pool, they noticed that all the boys were already there, including Stefan, Tyler, and James. Music was heard in the background, some of them were swimming, others at the bar and some other at the table playing poker.

Dr. Davis was the first to notice the girls' entry. "Finally the ladies of the house arrived." He got up from his seat at the table and addressed the girls. "I'll make something for you." He went behind them and directed them towards the bar where he made them some cocktails. " Enjoy." He left them a wink before returning to his place at the table.

They sat on the stools of the bar enjoying their drinks, a few seats away was Spencer who was sitting there since the three arrived.

"So what do you want to do?" Ava wondered while taking a sip at her pink beverage.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going for a swim." Lillian got up and left her half-drank drink on the bar, the water was calling her so she sped to take off her robe and put it on a sun chair, getting in the pool with a jump.

"I think I'll stay to finish my drink." Megan took the hint, she knew the girl wanted to stay with Spencer.

"I'm going to the pool." She stood with a smirk for Ava, then she approached the edge of the pool and took off her robe, when it droped to her feet, she took a smooth dive into the water, the clashing electric current of her powers wanting to fight with the blue always had a way of making her feel real.

As she came to the surface, she moved her hair out of her face giving herself the oportunity to open her eyes, only to, at the moment of doing so, see James nearing her space so casually unsuspicious.

"Do you always look so mesmerizing?" Giving himself the oportunity to get closer to her, nearly brushing that line were there bodies would be to close for her liking.

"Again with the flirt, Knight?"

"I can't help it when It comes to you." He honestly admitted. She considered all his attempts as completely absurd ways of aproaching, but they both realized it was slowly giving results, although she was a little more reluctant to that thought.

Maybe he had only known Megan for about two weeks and a half, but it was enough for him to know that he felt something for her that he had never felt for anyone else before. He wasn't going to let go of that feeling without a fight.

Malick was watching one of his biggest project's of the last years, atleast, a part of it. The thick armored glass being the only thing separating him from subject 0419, gave him the oportunity of being present in the testing without putting himself in risk. Agent Rollings took a step closer towards the head of S.I.N., having the same view and wondering if Malick would be pleasant with the results.

The brown eyed man smirked when subject 0419 succesfully managed to mind control a grown man, the order resulting in the man shooting himself on the head, it was his hand but it was certainly not his intention. "Are the others showing as promising results as this one?" Years of dedication to this project and it was finally giving results.

"I got informs from Gert and Flint, 0420 and 0421 both survived the glitch, 0423 is as almost as advanced as 0419." His thick russian accent made his english words barely understandable, giving that little extra to his deep tone for everyone under his comand shiver by the sound of it.

In the four wall pure titanium room, the young subject was put once again in its restrains for an other agent to be able to enter the room and clean up the mess. Meanwhile in the corner stood a fairly tall and lean man, wavy blonde hair and deep green eyes staring at the clipboard in his left hand while his right one scribbled almost frantically the results he had acomplished that evening.

Once everything was once again clean and put in space, the lab coated mastermind informed his lab rat that they would be seeing the next day, leaving the room with no other word. "Malick, sir, what a pleasure your visit." No one could deny he wasn't a charmimg and polite man, if only he wasn't so unsecure, disturbing and wicked, and of course a pure blood horrid criminal.

"The progress lightens up my humor..." if only he had said it with a less straight face. "..I hope the others end up just as well." Malick put every last resource he held in this, so if it failed, he already had a list of heads he would have to watch role.

The lab scientist fiddled with his pen before he could give a response. "I can't give a certain affirmative on that sir, since the order was given I have dedicated my full attention and work to only the evolution of 0419." All their subjects were put to different facilities for safety purposes, and Ivanov was encharge of traveling from time to time to put his own perspective in each of them, but after orders from John Malick himself, Ivanov was force to stay and work especifically in this only subject.

The agent and the scientist watched in silence as Malick's tick brows furrowed in the slightest, his head manufacturing a plan that would work in his favour. "From tomorrow on I want you to play a visit to the other numbers, 0419 has envolved enough for my liking, I want you to make sure the others are just as advanced." He took steps down the hallway distancing from the area, not even seeing the nod that the wavy blonde had give him back from the order.

"Remember Ivanov, good results or it'll be your blood that decorates the walls next time." His voice was heard firm and strong even form the end of the hallway.

"Yes sir." He didn't know if the boss had heard it, but even so he was sure he wasn't going to disapoint him, not him, not Rollings, not anyone that belived in this project.
