Me and Draco were sleeping peacefully, when a rush knock appeared on our door, and both of us woke up startled.

Draco imediatly stood up from the bed, his wand at the ready, due to the abrupt knock, and he slowly opened it.

"Mother..." Draco said calmly, and lowered his wand when saw Narcissa standing outside the door.

She looked nervous, and way paller than before.

"Draco, you and Lara need to come to the dining room, now." She said nervously.

"Why, what happened?" Draco asked concerned.

"It's Potter, we think we caught him, but we need both of you to make sure it's him." Narcissa said nervously, and I gave a desperation look at Draco, who seemed as worried as me.

"Okay, don't worry." He said calmly, and then closed the door.

"Draco, do you think they actually caught him?!" I stood up abruptly from my bed, and walked in his direction.

"I don't know." He said calmly.

"What why do they need us to identify him?" I asked abruptly.

"I don't know, Lara listen..." He placed his hands on my shoulders. "Calm down, we can't freak out." He said softly and I nodded my head.

We got ready fastly, and did as Narcissa told us, we descended the stairs, that leaded to the dining room, but it was different, the long table, where Charity was killed, was now pulled into a corner of the room, leaving one of the sides against the wall, and the center of the room being all empty.

And then I gasped.

There were Snatchers in the dining room, along with Fenrir Greyback who was holding Ron, and Marcellus Angelo, who was holding Hermione, both looked at me, they looked so different from the last time I saw them, taller, grown, but also thinner.

And the there was Bellatrix, kneeled on the floor, grabbing Harry by the hair, but he was different, his face deformed almost disfigured, swollen, like some alergic reaction, unrecognizable to the eyes of someone who doesn't really know him, but at my eyes it was more than obvious, and to Draco to who looked at me in desperation as well.

My father was there was well, and eyed me carefully while I stood near him, looking down at Harry, along with Lucius and Narcissa, with Draco now also standing even closer to Harry than I was.

"Well?" Bellatrix asked Draco, who was with his gaze fixed on Harry.

I was breathing heavily, if they caught Harry, everything would be lost, everything, this world would be left a complete ruin, but, if we lied...

"I can't be sure." Draco said firmly, and my gaze diverted from Harry to him.

"Draco..." Lucius said besides me, and stepped towards Draco, grabbing strongly by the neck. "Look closely son." He said firmly. "If we are the ones to hand Potter over to the Dark Lord..." Lucius said quietly. "Everything will be, forgiven will all be as was, understand?" He asked, and Draco gave a nervous nod.

"Now, he won't be forgetting who, actually caught him, I hope Mr. Malfoy." A Snatcher, Scabior, said firmly.

"How dare to talk to me like that in my own house!" Lucius shouted startling both Draco and me.

"Lucius!" Narcissa said firmly, as she pulled him away from Draco, making him release the grip he was holding on him.

"What about you?" I heard my father whisper in my ear.

I looked over at Harry, kneeled down on the floor, Bellatrix waiting for a response pointing her wand directly at him, his fate was in my hands and Draco, and it wasn't a good feeling.

"I-I don't know." He cut me off before I said anything else.

"Just, think wisely..." He said firmly, his attitude so abrupt like I've never seen before. "If the Potter's boy get caught, it's over, I won't need to be out so often, we can be together again, it will all be like it was before, live a normal life, we can be a proper family again." He said desperately.

How dares he say that we can live normally, how dares he say it will be like before, nothing will be like before, never, Voldemort is literally preparing us to be his army in the future, he would destroy the world, how could that be normal, how does he prefer that.

"I don't know, I can't be sure." I said firmly, now looking at his face, until he gave a few steps away from me, frustrated.

"Don't be shy, sweetie, come over." Bellatrix said as she pulled Draco closer, and made him kneel down, facing Harry. "Now, if this isn't who we think it is Draco, and we call him...he'll kill us all, we need to be absolutely sure." She said firmly, standing now between the two of them.

Draco was nervously staring at Harry, fearing on what to do, but refusing to confirm his identity.

"What's wrong with his face?" He asked firmly, keeping his eyes on Harry.

"Yes, what is wrong with his face?" Bellatrix asked loudly.

"He came to us like that, something he picked up in the forest already." Scabior said.

"Or ranned into a Stinging Jinx." Bellatrix said, a hint of curiosity in her voice. "Was it you dear?" She asked pointing at Hermione, who was behind me.

She stepped away from Draco, releasing Harry's hair, and both were now staring at each other.

"Give me her wand, let's see what her last spell was." Bellatrix said firmly, walking in direction to Hermione, passing through me.

My gaze was focused on Draco who stood up, when Narcissa tapped his shoulder, and he gave me a worried look.

"Got you." Bellatrix laughed at Hermione, but her steps came to an halt as she gasped in shock.

She stared at a Snatcher who was holding a sword, but not a common sword, I knew it, it was the Gryfindor sword.

"What's that?" She asked abruptly, pointing at the Gryfindor sword. "Where did you get that from?" She asked her tone looking concerned.

"It was in her bag when we searched, reckon is mine now." The Snatcher said amusingly, giving a look at the sword he was carrying with him.

I flinched when saw Bellatrix stunting him, making him fall of the rail of the stairs, and the panicked flew in the room as she attacked the others.

She caught the sword the Snatcher was holding, and turned to us, and when I was about to move out of her way, Draco was faster and pulled me into a corner, and placed his body in front of mine, protecting it.

She stunted Marcellus, making him hit the wall behind him, and fall harshly into the floor, making him release Hermione, who ranned away to protect herself in a corner, but he remained conscious, just sore and struggling to stand up.

She casted the a black snake around Fenrir throat, making him release Ron, who wanted to Hermione, and making him struggling to breath.

"Are you mad?!" Scabior shouted at Bellatrix, but as a response, she conjured a whip from her wand who wrapped around his throat as well, and pulled it by the throat into the floor as he gasped for the need of air, she pulled his throat, his face getting purple like a plumb as he almost suffocated to the death, but she released him before that happened.

"Go! Get out!" She yelled at the three of them.

Marcellus was the first to stand up, almost stumbling on his own feet as he did so, and picked up his wand, and left the room, Fenrir, who was in his knees, his hands stopping the snake from struggling him, stood up carefully, followed by Scabior who was coughing, his hand wrapped around his throat, both struggling to get air.

"Cissy..." Bellatrix grabbed Ron and Harry by their clothes, and handed them at Narcissa
"Put the boys in the cellar!" She yelled, and Narcissa dragged Harry and Ron until Wormtail, who took them to the dungeons. "I want to have a litlle conversation with this one..." She was now inches away from Hermione. "...girl to girl." She said firmly.

Draco went to pull a chair for me, near the table that was in the corner, and sat near me, as he hugged me tightly, and Narcissa came to our side, standing behind us, her hands in mine and Draco's shoulder, and Lucius was sat near the fireplace with my father.

"Are you okay?" He whispered in my ear, and I nodded my head slightly, even though I wasn't.

I flinched when I heard the sound of Hermione gasping when Bellatrix throwed her to the floor, my back was turned to them so I could see anything.

"That sword was meant to be in my vault, how did you get it?" I heard Bellatrix ask abruptly, but the only thing I could hear was her sobbing. "What else did you and your friends take from my vault!" Her sudden yell made me flinch, and I felt Draco's hand grab mine tightly when he felt it.

"I didn't take anything!" Hermione cried out. "Please." She sobbed intensely. "I didn't take anything." She kept crying.

I looked a bit over my shoulder, to peek at what was going on, Bellatrix was on the top of Hermione, the same knife she used one me in her hand.

"I don't believe you!" Bellatrix said firmly, and grabbed her arm tightly, pulling up her sleeve, and her knife started craving on her skin.

Hermione yelled, she begged, her whole body was shaking from the pain Bellatrix was causing her with that knife, but she couldn't move, all she could do was scream for it to be over.

It was like a blade crossing through my eyes, seeing her get tortured, and not do anything, a unbearable pain for feeling useless, a feeling deeply buried in my head an heart that I would carry on my shoulders from the rest of my life.

"Oh my god!" Hermione yelled at the pain, while Bellatrix was laughing in amusement watching the girl get tortured.

I didn't noticed my tears streaming down my face, until Narcissa turned me to face the wall again, and her hand went to rub my back calming me down, and Draco wiped away my tears.

But what I saw, would always appear to haunt my memories, my eyes, haunting like a prey in the darkness of the night, and the screams would curse my nightmares endlessly.

I looked at Draco, his eyes were also shining and his body flinching as well at each scream that left Hermione's throat, and I squeezed his hand tightly at each of those times.

The screams lasted minutes, but felt like ages, her scream were the only sound running in my ears, making me want to rip them off almost a pain that I could feel in my bones only by hearing her bare screams.

I noticed myself with my eyes fully closed when the screams finally stopped, and with my head shaking, I slowly turned my head at Hermione.

She was layed on the floor, her face filled with tears, making me want to hug her more than ever, and her arm was bleeding, from the words now craved in her arm Mudblood, a wound it would turn to a scar and she would carry it through her whole life.

She didn't looked at me, her gaze was fixed on the floor, tears still leaving her red puffy eyes.

"Wormtail!" Bellatrix shouted, and Wormtail appeared on the top of the stairs. "Bring me the Goblin, now!" She yelled angrily.

She paced through the room impatiently for Wormtail to arrive with the Goblin, and as soon as he did, Bellatrix dragged him to the center of the room, and pointed her knife at him, while walking around of him.

"My sword disappeared, now how did that happened?!" She asked abruptly.

"I don't know." The Goblin answered calmly.

"Who entered in my vault?!" She yelled at him.

"No one." He said firmly.

"I'm only going to ask you, once more, goblin." She said firmly. "Think very, very carefully before you answer." She said clearly.

"I don't know." He said firmly.

"You don't know?!" She repeated in a mockingly way. "Why weren't you doing your job?" She asked sarcastically. "Who got into my vault?!" She asked abruptly, and came to an halt where she was face to face at him. Who stole it? Who..stole it?!" She asked loudly, the grip on her knife tight. "Well?!"

"When I was last in your vault, the sword was there." He said firmly.

"Oh, perhaps it just walked out on it's own then." She said sarcastically, but her voice filled with rage.

"There's no place safer than Gringots." He aaid firmly.

"Liar!" She yelled, and made a cut on his cheek with her blade. "Consider yourself lucky, goblin." She said in annoyance and took a strand of her hair out of her face with a simple breath as she moved away from the goblin.

"The same won't be said for this one." She said amusingly as she walked over to Hermione.

Suddenly, my heart jumps when I see Ron storming from the stairs who made Bellatrix wand flew away with a basic "Expelliarmus" and right behind appeared Harry who made Lucius fly away and hit the wall with a "Stupefy", and Ron made my father fly away with a "Stupefy" as well.

All of us three imediatly stood up from our chairs, and started fighting back against them, Narcissa against Ron, while me and Draco were fighting Harry.

We mostly used non-verbal spells to fight against them, Draco was always with an arm in front of me, trying to protect me from any spell Harry could throw at me.

Harry throwed one, that almost hit me if it wasn't for Draco successfully defending it, and throwing a spell against him, but didn't hit him.

Both of them were gaining territory over us, our steps going backwards as they were reaching foward, no spell ever getting to hit each other.

"Stop!" Bellatrix shouted from behind us, and something made Harry and Ron stop attacking us, and so did we.

I looked over shoulder to see Bellatrix aiming her blade at Hermione's throat, her head pulled backwards by her hair to show moee of her exposed skin of her neck, both of them standing on their feet.

"Drop your wands." She demanded, with a smirk marked on her lips, and mt gaze turned back to Harry and Ron, who were unmoving. "I've said drom 'em!" She repeated angrily.

Harry and Ron did as she told, and dropped their wands into the floor.

"Pick them up, Draco, now!" Bellatrix demanded and Draco went to grabb Harry and Ron's wand. "Well, well, well, look what we have here." Bellatrix take a few steps forward while dragging Hermione with her and she cried. "Is Harry Potter." Harry's face started to lose the swelling, and his features started going back to normal. "He's all bright and shiny and new again, just in time to the Dark Lord." She said firmly.

Draco pulled me into a corner right in front of the fireplace instead of being between Bellatrix and Harry.

"Call him." She smiled at her own words.

Everyone's gazes turned to Draco, even me, he was standing, unmoving, looking at his aunt in fear, but still, he didn't moved an inche.

"Call him!" She shouted this time, Lucius was now besides Draco waiting for him to step forward and call the Dark Lord, but Draco, for much nervous that he was, remained unmoved, and dropped his gaze to the ground.

Lucius however, stepped forward and pulled his sleeve up, revealing the Dark Mark that was underneath it, my gaze dropped to the floor was well, when I realized there was nothing I could do to stop this, even Draco looked desperated, the Dark Lord would arrive as soon as Lucius called him and he'd kill Harry, our very last chance to get out of this ruin world, slipped from our fingers.

A loud noise coming from the top of our heads, drove all our attention to the chandelier on the ceiling, to see Dobby loosening the chandelier.

The chandelier started falling into the ground, Bellatrix when running away so it wouldn't hit her released Hermione before the chandelier shattered in pieces onto the floor.

Me and Draco while getting out of the way not to get hit we slipped in the glass, I fell onto the floor and Draco fell into a chair, and I see Harry reaching him, and fight for their wands with Draco, which he succeeded not only taking their wands with them but Draco's as well.

"Stupefy!" Harry shouted at Lucius who had stood up to call for the Dark Lord and made him fly across the room.

"Stupid elf!" Bellatrix shouted stepping forward. "You could've killed me!" She said indignated.

"Dobby never meant to kill." Dobby said softly. "Dobby only meant to maim or seriously injurie." He said, Harry, Ron, Hermione and the goblin were now besides him along with the Gryfindor sword, close to the rail of the stairs

Narcissa tried to cast a spell, but Draco snatched her wand with a snap of his litlle fingers.

"How dare, you take a witches wand?!" Bellatrix asked abruptly. "How dare, you defy your masters?!" She shouted.

"Dobby has no master, Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends!" Dobby said confidently, and grabbed all their hands to disaparate.

However, before they could fully disaparate, Bellatrix throwed her blade, which disaparated with them.

"Finally, that elf will stop bothering us at least." Bellatrix said amusingly.

Bellatrix smirk disappeared from her lips when she turned Draco and me, both standing near the fireplace.

"Draco..." She said firmly, and runned in direction to him, grabbing his neck harshly. "Why haven't you called him? Why?!" She asked abruptly at his face.

"I-I-" A voice coming from downstairs interrupt Draco.

"They escaped!" Wormtail announced himself in the room with that sentence. "The wand-maker and the girl, they had escaped." He said nervously.

"Is there anyone in this house that it's not a incompetent?!" Bellatrix asked abruptly, and turned back at Draco and me. "This is your fault you filthy blood traitor." She shouted at me.

"Don't call her that." Draco's voice startled both me and Bellatrix.

"What did you say?" She asked shocked.

"Don't call her that!" He said loudly, his hands turning into fists as he did so.

"How dare y-" Narcissa cut her from behind before she could say or do another thing.

"Enough, Bella!" Narcissa said firmly, and it took quite a few moments for Bellatrix to let out Draco. "Go to your room." Narcissa said, and Draco imediatly grabbed my hand and pulled us away quickly.

Draco pulled me without saying a word, we climbed the stairs together, passing through the paintings, our footsteps echoing against the marble floor, and runned until we reached his bedroom, and closed the door.

I took a breath to process what happened, as I sat in the right edge of his bed, and let some relief sink in my body.

"Are you okay." Draco's hand went for my back, a concerned look on his eyes.

"I-I think so." I said hesitantly, but being the complete opposite from okay.

Draco didn't said anything, instead he layed me down in the bed, and he layed besides me, I let him do that, and wrap his arms around my body.

"Don't worry, it's all over, no one can hurt you, Potter escaped, there's still hope." He said comfortably, while his hand tuck a piece of my hair behind my ear.

A few tears still left my eyes, remembering of Hermione's screams, each one of them, replaying them in my head over and over.

I would never forget her screams, and it would always haunt me.

"Don't cry, I'm here, no one can hurt you, I'll always protect you, don't feel guilty, nothing is your fault." Draco said firmly, but I caught a glimpse of a tear running down his eye as well.

"The screams..." I managed to say without bursting in tears.

"I'm so sorry you had to heard that, I'm so sorry." He said softly.

He wiped away my tears with his thumb, and let his hand rest there, a warm comforting hand.

I placed my lips in his, only to feel some safety, something calming at this moment where I needed comfort so badly.
