That night, felt different from all the ones we shared together, he didn't really said anything, or me, and if he did, I was to preoccupied to not let my heart explode, and try to cover the extremely heat in my cheeks, knowing that even in the dark, the flushed pink could be seen from miles away.

But my luck wasn't entirely by my side that day.

From all the days, when Charlotte is usually sleeping when I arrive, she had to be awake last night, which made her contemplate, the blush all over my face.

"Oh my god!" Charlotte's lips parted away as soon as she saw my red face, and stood up from her bed  abruptly, as she walked towards me, still shocked. "Merlin. You better tell me what happened sis." She said in a excited tone, and sat on in my bed with me.

"Nothing. It's nothing." I said nervously, trying to hide my face.

"Well does this nothing has a name? Draco, perhaps?" She asked amusingly, perfectly knowing she was right, and obviously not waiting for a response from my part. "Oh come on Lara, who else put you like that then?"

"No one, I just hmmm...hit my door on a face-no I mean hit my face on a door...ugh." I let out a frustrated groan an tried to catch my breath so the redness of my face vanished.

Charlotte took a deep breath, and made a smirk towards me, but didn't said anything for a time, she looked like she was examinating my gaze which let me both uncomfortable and embarrassed.

"He kissed you, didn't he?" Her tone looked more like a affirmation rather than a question.

"No, no, it was not-" She cut me off.

"Oh please, Lara, how many times do I have to say, you're a terrible liar, just stop it you're embarrassing yourself sis." Charlotte said amusingly.

"Alright fine! Yes we kissed, happy?!" I let out a sigh of relief at my words. "But why are you so happy about it, I thought you hated him."

"Oh my dear, I still do...but, I saw how he looked at you in Umbridge's class when you stood up, and that day at dinner, specially that day, that's when I knew." Charlotte said softly.

"Knew what, exactly?" I asked.

"That he cares a lot about you, in a very special way, if you know what I mean." She said softly, but something was upsetting her.

"Is everything okay?" I asked softly.

"Yeah, I mean I'm happy for you, I really am, but I don't think this will end up well, Lara." She said with an apologetic tone, and I furrowed my eyebrowns.

"But, you believe me now, I helped him be a better person right?" I asked.

"Not exactly...I think you just made him care about you, but Lara, he's still the same, towards other people, you can't search for a side he doesn't have...but no matter what, I'm happy for you, but I think you will end up hurted." She placed a hand on top of mine, squeezing it tight in a apologetic tone.

I didn't said anything, I just nodded slightly and she went to her bed, while I felt nothing but bad.

For a moment I thought that at least one of my bestfriends would believe me and have hope in me, but so far, my mother is the only one that believes in me.

"Lara, just know that I will always be here." Charlotte said and then layed down.

Yeah, of course, thanks for believing in me by the way, oh wait, you don't, I hoped for once my bestfriend would be reasonable and belive in her bestfriend but apparently, she's just like everyone else...

I ranned towards the Great Hall with Charlotte, we were late for lunch, and when we arrived the entrance, we saw Filch, hanging another rule above the door again, and we tried to see what it is this time, the all week has been like this, everyday a new rule...

"Those wishing to join the Inquisitorial Squad for extra credit may sign up in the High Inquisitor office."

These were the exact words the "rule", that Filch hanged, said.

"Inquisitorial Squad? Now what the fuck is that?" Charlotte asked.

"I have no idea." I said, although, I did had a small idea for what could this possibly mean.

"Well, only a fool would sign up for that only for extra credit." Charlotte said in a mockingly tone. "Come on." Charlotte said and we took our eyes off the wall full of rules, and walked inside the Great Hall.

As we did so, I saw Matthew, he was eating with his friends from his year, and was laughing with them, in a way we don't laugh together for a long time, at least until when he caught my eye, and I remembered what he said to me...

"...But I believe in you now, when you say he's different about you...And that only makes things worse..."

I remember he also spoke this after the dinner thing, what probably he noticed the same thing as Charlotte did and probably got upset because he thinks just the same as her.

His lips were on a firm line, and so were mine, he didn't seemed like he had any intentions to speak with me, and so I showed that as well, and drove my gaze off him, and kept following Charlotte.

"Are you going to tell Matthew?" Charlotte asked softly as we sat down.

"No, I don't intend to speak with him so soon, if he has any apologies to tell me then he knows where to find me." I said firmly.

"Well, and you're absolutely right, but how much time you think until he does that?" Charlotte asked.

"I don't know, and honestly I couldn't care less." I said, looking at him, whose gaze was fixied in his classmates.

I climbed the stairs to the Astronomy Tower after coming from the practice in the Room of Requirement, and found Draco, sat there, waiting for me.

"Hey." I said smiling as I sat besides him.

He looked at me, and smiled back at me, but then, my gaze fell to the silver and purple badge, shining as the moonlight reflected on it.

"Draco what is that?" I asked, tilting my head to take a better look at it, and he looked away from me, looking a bit regretted. "Draco..."

"I joined the, Inquisitorial Squad." Draco said avoiding to look at me.

"You mean the Umbridge's Squad?" I asked firmly. "Umbridge, really?!"

"Technically it's not her squad." He said, and I let out a indignated gasp.

"Draco, why did you do that, since when do you care so much about extra credit?" I asked.

"I don't care about extra credit, it's more about screwing Potter's and his friends lifes." He said, and my lips parted away.

"Oh, so you think that's a good reason to sign up to Umbridge's squad?" I asked.

"I don't know if you noticed Blackwell, but me and Potter are not exactly the bestfriends." He said firmly.

"You know what, forget it." I said, not wanting to argue at this moment.

He knew what Umbridge did to me, he knew, and yet, he signed up to work for her...

"Blackwell please don't think I have forgot what she did to you-" I cut him off.

"And yet, your hatred for Harry took over you." I said in a disappointed tone.

"Well if he didn't argued with her that day, you would never be hurted, so I blame Potter as well, for not knowing how to shut the fuck up!" Draco said abruptly and, his gaze, stoped in mine this time.

"But I was the one who chose to speak, so it's my fault as well." I said firmly, and he started shaking his head.

"No it's not..." He said firmly. "You are too kind for people, you are too kind to this world."

His words were so kind but also so firm, he was meaning every single one of them, he knows me too well, but still, that doesn't mean I'm not mad at him.

"So you're saying that you signed up, because of me." I asked calmly.

"Of course I did!" He shouted. "But that doesn't mean I don't hate Umbridge anymore." He said firmly, and I could see through his eyes that he was being honest with me. "But, I realize now how stupid this decision was." He looked away from me.

"It's okay, Draco..." I said softly and placed my hand on top of his, and I could feel his heart beating fast. "You only intend to help, and I don't blame you for that, but next time, think twice about joining some squad like that."

He looked at me, and locked his gaze with mine from what looked like an eternity, his eyes were filled with regret, but that did not toke the sparkles out of them, even the stars could shine like that, and the way he looked so worried if I was about to dissappear, broke me in pieces, his cold mask was still on, but only a thin layer was visible.

Almost as like if was automatic, my hand slowly started intertwining with his, he was hesitant, he was afraid, there were so many, so many things I still don't know about him, if only he opened himself a bit more...
