A/N: Sorry for a late update lovelies, I messed up my writing on my hand-written copy so I was like jumping around everywhere trying to figure out how this chapter was going, but WHOO intense, but we got a nice drama action in this chapter.

I hope you do enjoy this, comment while reading ~~~~~~

Kadence's P.O.V

Door one, no.

Door two, no.

Door three, no.

"He said the third floor! Where the hell are they?!" I said angrily

"Kadence, you need to breathe... it's okay."

Ellie was panting behind me out of breath, we don't have time for this. We heard some footsteps behind us near the stairs and made our way back to run into Donavon. Just looking at his face made me sick, his eyes were glossy as if he was about to cry his face was filled with regret. I wanted to slap him, but that wouldn't do anything within the time we have right now, it wouldn't do anything, in general, we would be running in circles.

His face seemed to sadden but that didn't cover up the face of guilt, knowing he was the one who messed everything up and knowing it was his fault.

"What do you want, you're getting in the way right now," I said bitterly

"I wanted... to help."

"I think you've already helped enough."

"Kadence," Ellie said sharply.

"No, I mean I know where she is... I do, I just told you that she was on the third floor" he said.

"Yeah! and we've checked every single one of the doors and she's not there!" I nearly yelled.

"Did just open it and check or did you actually went inside and check the rooms within the rooms!?" He yelled back being frustrated as well.

I was silent and so was Ellie.

"Follow me..." he lowered his voice.

He motioned to follow, we passed the left hall into a bonus room There was a pool table, a bar, a flat screen with a game console, and two other doors. Why didn't we think of that, a room within a room? Ellie and I have already opened it just didn't search it. We sped walk to the door Donavon pointed to and he opened it.

My eyes were staring dead-straight at Brooklyn. Her eyes were closed, she looked as if she passed out, her mouth was opened and there was small breathing. I felt my heart sunk in my chest and tears near the verge of falling, I can't believe I left her, I cant believe I did this... I tore my eyes away from the sight and I met with Joanna's lustful eyes. All I could see was that she was on top of Brooklyn.

My hand met her face for a slap and it quickly turned pink. Fuck that hurt. She put her hand on her face and was in shock. I pushed her off roughly and got on top of her on the ground, this time my fist quickly met her face. I kept repeating my punches over and over again, I felt my knuckles bruising up and I saw Joanna covering her face with her arms trying to defend herself causing me to miss and not hit hard enough.

I felt someone's arm wrap around my waist but fought it to where I could only think about pummeling this bitch.

"How dare you fucking touch her!" I yelled out fully.

"So what!" she hissed.

I was pulled away, still fighting the tight grip around my stomach. Joanna stood and I saw Ellie trying to talk to Brooklyn, there was no response until I saw her eyes peeked open a little. Donavon still held his grip, fuck. I looked over in the bathroom and saw another guy standing at the door frame with shock, I looked over his shoulder and saw bars of cocaine laid out.

"Are you kidding me, Joanna?! You're so off the team." I barked out

"You can't-do that!"

"Are you sure because one, you're sniffing some bars and two, you almost took advantage of someone, while they were drugged, under your name!" I yelled.

"Stop!" Ellie yelled.

I looked over to see Brooklyn and Donavon released me. I climbed on the bed and bent down to see her face, her eyes were slightly opened and she looked like she was going to pass out any second. Her clothes were laying on the ground, her sweater and skinny jeans were stripped from her. Nothing else was stripped, but seeing her body like this felt sickening that someone else... touched her. I started to put Brooklyn's clothes back on and after I was done I gave Joanna one last hard stare.

"Touch her again and I'll blind you."

"I'm so sorry Brooklyn..." I whispered.

I looked down again and closed my eyes slowly, this is all my fault.

"Let's get her out of here," Donavon remarked.

He came over to the bed and picked her up princess style, which I could've done but probably didn't have the strength to carry her down three flight of stairs. Her head fell back and her brown hair covered up most of her face, no one bothered looking over to see what was happening instead most people were making out around the house at this time.

Ellie went back into the kitchen to get Jamie and Donavon followed me out to my car. The wind blew causing my hair to cross my face, yet I kept wiping it away annoyingly. I slowly climbed in the back and started the car from there, I sat back in the chair on the left side and he put Brooklyn in my arms gently.

Her eyes were still peeked open just a bit, you could barely see her the hazelnut color anymore. He closed my side, ran to another side of the car and opened the passenger seat door for Jamie to sit up front, then Ellie hopped in the driver's seat. She rolled down all the windows so everyone could have some air and Donavon popped up next to mine.

"I am so sorry Kadence..." he said sincerely.

"Donavon... now is not a good time."

He nodded and stepped back from the car.

Brooklyn's body looked lifeless in my arms, it didn't look like she was sleeping but more as if she was non-existent. Ellie drove off slowly making sure she didn't toss us around as much, I guess they're staying over at my house for tonight which I didn't mind. Jamie is not going home like this drunk.

I looked down at Brooklyn and pushed her hair out of her face, I caressed her cheek it was so soft and she was so delicate. Her body was fragile but it was already broken, I didn't want to make it worse but I did. It hurt looking at her hurt, the way she is now... I can't forgive myself for that.

I let out a sigh and felt hot tears falling from each side of my face, my nose began to feel stuffy. I gave a light kiss on her forehead and my tears dropped on her tan skin, it flooded the dry town on her face. I looked up and saw that Jamie gave me a concerned look, and Ellie was looking at me through the rearview mirror. I gripped Brooklyn's sweater and rested my head on hers.

~~~~~~~~~~
We soon made it back to my house and my parents weren't home still, I guess they get back in the afternoon. I carried Brooklyn inside and rested her in my white covers that look like soft powdery snow. Her cheeks started to turn pink and her breathing was coming back to normal. I walked back out to check on Ellie and Jamie and they were standing by the door.
"How is she?" Jamie asked softly.
"S-She's uh fine," I muttered
"Kadence, are you okay?"
I nodded, I looked over at Ellie and she was looking down.
"Uh Jamie you should probably lay down and sleep, your face has hangover written all over it."
She gave me a straight face and slowly a smiled appear knowing that I was right.
"Yeah, okay..." she mumbled
I wrapped Jamie's arm around my shoulder and brought her to the guest bedroom, which was a bit smaller than mine. She sat on the bed and brought her legs under the dark brown covers. I bought the covers back over her shoulders and her eyes shut immediately from the lack of sleep and alcohol.
The room was quiet, I let out a sigh to make a noise from exhaustion until I heard a slight knock at the door. Ellie was the only one left not passed out so I knew it was her. She walked over next to me and I sat down on the bed Jamie was sleeping in, Ellie's face seemed to sadden.
"Kadence... You really do love Brooklyn don't you?"
I slowly nodded my head.
"I'm sorry about what happened tonight... When I saw you crying in the rear-view mirror I just felt this sickening in my stomach. I'm sorry that I did all those things to you during cheer practice, and... I'm sorry for being snappy."
She had sincere on her face, she gave me a pouty face but not a forced one more like a legit one.
"It's okay-"
"The way you look at her, I've never seen you look at someone else like that."
I was cut off before I could accept her apology.
"You stare into her eyes as if she was your moon while you were the stars. You surrounded all around her just to make her feel safe and with each little shooting star was a sign of comfort."
I smiled lightly at how she phrased that, but she was right.
"Kadence..." she started again.
"I am going to move on, and when Brooklyn wakes up I will apologize to her for everything that I've done. Please listen to me on this though, I never meant anything to happen during Donavon's pool party."
"Ellie I-"
"No, let me finish please."
I nodded.
"I was so infuriated and jealous I felt so lost because I didn't get what I wanted which is absolutely ridiculous. I was selfish and mean, Brooklyn didn't deserve any of that. I didn't see that she was about to fall into the water, and tell you that I was drunk wouldn't have made any difference."
I nodded again.
"She seems like a really good person, and I think you should ask her out..."
I gave a small laugh.
"I'm planning to take her to the Fall Dance, and I told Jamie how I was going to ask her which I'm super nervous about," I said.
"Oh, well let me help!"
"...Are you sure?"
She simply nodded and so I did spill the plan. By the time I ended she was smiling.
"That's a really cute idea, but make it quick or else someone asks you which would be awkward."
We both laughed.
"Alright, we should probably sleep. Jamie is going to need us in the morning and I gotta make us breakfast."
She nodded and climbed in bed with Jamie.
I made my way back into my own room and saw Brooklyn's body in bed gently. I made my way into the covers next to her making sure I don't shake her. Even if she can't wake up from it, I'm still going to be easy. I laid down next to her and pulled her into my chest, her scent was sweet but her warmth was gone. I started to rub my arms up and down her shoulders to make her warm, which probably won't work but I still attempted.
Her eyes were officially closed, the drug probably kicked in, her mouth was hanging open a little bit. Her lips were full, her eyelashes were short, her ears small... she still looked beautiful regardless. My lip started to quiver and my heart sunk feeling pain, I can't believe this happened to her. I held her a bit tighter, but to the point where I wouldn't suffocate her.
I rested my forehead against hers and felt her heart beating with my hand. I slowly closed my eyes and drifted off.
