"Everything you say
Is just a lie"

Officer Simmons P.O.V*

"Do you know why you are here today?" I ask her as I sit down across from where she's sitting.

"I was told that you guys needed help building a case against Aimee." Lisa Caven shrugs.

"Yes, your daughter." I clarify. She just continues looking at me like she's bored.

"You do realize that your daugher will be imprisoned for years."

"Yes."

"Wow. You really would let her take the fall for the crimes you committed? You surely won't win any mother of the year awards soon." I decide to drop the act.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." She starts to look nervous and fidgets with her Michael Kors purse. Good.

"Mark told us everything. You hired him and Robert to kidnap Audrey. Even to hit Emma's car so Aimee would be the perfect suspect, huh? You knew she was mad at both of them. You set Aimee up from the start. That revenge list she wrote made it even easier."

"Are you crazy? Where's your proof? Why would I do all this? It seems that Mark guy is playing you." She looks me in the eyes as she tells me this.

"Well, first we have this." I throw a folder on the steel table. It was what she had given Robert and Mark. Detailed plans and if they got caught to blame Aimee Caven.

"Oh and we looked into why you would have done this. Seems like you were broke. Wait, you currently are. You did this for the money, right? Plus a couple of days before the accident your husband Ray filed for divorce from you. You knew he wouldn't have given you a cent. He had already lost alot of money due to debts. You personally knew that Nathan Kingston was a millionaire. So you decided to get his girfriend kidnapped and make money off the ransom. Too bad it didn't work out, you would have had a good amount of money." I whistle.

She starts laughing. "You know I wasn't even the one who came up with the idea. It was my lover who thought of it." Looks like she's ready to confess.

"Someone else was a part of this?" Man, this never ends.

"He came up with the plan and I followed through with it. He was more of the behind the scenes mastermind. He created that folder along with the step by step plans. Even the hitmen didn't know about him. Then when the shit hit the fan he broke up with me. After my husband had left me when he found out I was cheating!" She continues laughing like she's insane. Maybe she is. "He was willing to sacrifice his daughter for money."

"Aimee?"

"No. Audrey. The man who I had an affair with is John Hudson. Audrey's father." She says it as if I should already know that.

"He came up with getting his daughter kidnapped?"

"Yeah. He's a heartless man, you see. He hasn't seen her in years but when he found out she was dating a rich guy, well to say he was excited is an understatement. He used it to his advantage."

"Where is he?"

"I don't know. He left me. I was with him three years and as soon I didn't have any money, he left without a word. That's what he's good at. Leaving. He left Audrey's mom, then the woman he cheated on her with, and now me. I have nothing now."

I'm speechless. I get another officer to come arrest her and tell the team to put out a search warrant for John Hudson.
..............................................................
Hours later...

"Aimee Caven has already been released." Tim lets me know.

"Thanks. How was she?"

"Shocked. She said she never wants to see her mom again. Luckily her father is going to let her live with him. She said they had gotten in a fight before all this happened but I guess he felt sorry for her. She said she will be living in Dallas now and that she hates everyone here in Kemah." He rolls his eyes at the last part.

"Um, all right. At least the father came around. I can't believe I'm going to have to tell Audrey that her father came up with her kidnapping and that he had been seeing Lisa Caven."

"All that's fucked up."

"I know."

"Klyde! They found John. The cops who tracked him are bringing him to the station now!" Dave yells from his desk.

"When he gets here put him in room 2." I reply.

The only brightside is that now all the reponsible parties are being brought in.

I can't comprehend how Lisa and John used their kids. One for money and the other for a cover up.

I see Dave bringing a man in his late forties wearing nice designer clothes into interragation room 2. That must be the famous John.

I make my way there and Dave leaves the small room.

"Nice to meet you Klyde." John greets me after reading my name tag. He looks like he's in the most comfortable place in the world completely ignoring his handcuffs.

"Do you know why you are here?"

"I could do the whole pretend thing but let's save some time. I do."

"Why did you create this ransom plan?"

"Why is anything done? Money. It was never my intention for Audrey to get hurt. Sadly, things didn't go as planned. I heard she's recovered though."

"You are a horrible person who's going to prison for a long time." I inform him.

"Really? Because I actually never got involved with anyone. I never met the hitmen nor was I the one who kidnapped Audrey." He smiles after finishing.

"But you created the plan."

"That may be true but how did I know Lisa was going to go through with it? Do you have evidence?"

"Conspiring for kidnap, ransom, and murder isn't exactly a light sentence John. Remember in that plan you wrote that if anything went wrong that Audrey should be killed? Plus don't act dumb. Lisa told us everything. You were the one doing everything behind the scenes encouaging her. You both were going to share the money after splitting half with the hitmen."

"Wrong. Sure I created the plan, but I never knew Lisa was doing it. It was just talk. I only found out after the fact that she went through with it." He shrugs.

"Stop lying. She said you were advising her during every step."

His grin falters. He probably thought Lisa wouldn't tell us his whole involvement. "My daughter won't press charges against me. I'm her dad."

"You haven't seen her in years."

"I'll fake some emotion and win her over. She's a good person like her mom. She'll fall for that crap."

"At least she's not like you." I mutter under my breath.

"Spare me the lecture. I'll be walking out of here soon. No good person would leave their father in jail."

"You forgot something."

"What?"

"Emma and Matt can press charges too. They're lives were endangered from that hired hit and run car accident. So can Nathan. Plus I'm sure Audrey won't feel sorry for you. Also we also don't need anyone to press charges since it was a federal crime. You and Lisa will be behind bars for a long time."

"I want a lawyer." He growls.

"Coming right up, but we both know you're wasting your time."

I leave and shut the door. I can't believe he thought he was going to actually get away with this.

I shake my head and go to my office. I have alot of work to do and calls to make.

About two hours later as I'm doing paperwork, I hear a knock on my office door.

"Come in."

I see who is it and see Audrey and her boyfriend Nate.

"Hello, you can both take a seat." I know Nate isn't going to leave her side plus she's going to need support.

"What's wrong? Did something bad happen?" Audrey asks looking panicked.

"It's about the investagation." I start.

"What about it Aimee and Mark have been arrested."

"There's more to the story...."

"Just tell me. I'm confused."

"It's going to be okay Audrey." Nate holds her hand.

I take a breath and tell her everything we uncovered.

"I don't know what to say." Is all she mumbles after I tell her.

"But he and Lisa have been arrested. So now it's over right?" Nate questions.

"Yes the only thing left is the trial and for them to be sentenced. But trust me when I say that they will be put away for a long time. Now I do want to let you know that Mark got a deal in exchange for his testimony but he will be locked up for many years."

They both seem to relax after I finish that part.

"Audrey, there is one thing, and you don't have to do it."

"There's more?"

"Not exactly. It's just that your father had requested to see you. Again you don't have too."

"Of course she's not!" Nate speaks up.

"I will." She says about the same time.

"Why? He doesn't deserve anything." He turns to her.

"I know. I just have something to say to him."

"I'm coming with you then."

"No, I have to do this by myself. Can you take me to see him?" She asks me.

"Of course. Nate you can wait here, I'll bring her back."

"I'll be fine." She kisses him on the cheek and squeezes his hand.

I take her to the holding cell where he is at since he hasn't been transported out yet.

He stands up as soon as he notices us approaching.

"Audrey! I haven't seen you in forever! Now I know they must have told you some false things but I promise-" He doesn't finish because Audrey cuts him off.

"Your promises mean nothing so cut the bullshit. I can't believe that you are allowed to be a father. I almost died! But you wouldn't have cared right? As long as you had the money, which thank goodness you didn't get. When I was younger, I spent so much time wondering about you. Why you left us and never looked back. I though we weren't good enough for you. The truth was you were never good enough for us."

"You don't mean that, I'm still your father."

"No you're not. Mom was both a mom and dad for Kay and I. Before I go I just want to let you know that I forgive you. I forgive you only because if I focus on hating you then that will do me more damage than you. But I never want to see you again and if you ever get out then stay away from my family and friends. Enjoy prison." She then turns and walks off to meet with Nate.

"Didn't go as planned huh? Thought she would help you? Well, looks like you're all alone on this one." I mention to him as I leave and go back to my office. On my way there, I can hear him cursing and kicking the walls.
