Ella's P.O.V.

I woke up to the lovely noises of nature's gifts, the birds chirped happily outside, the bright sunlight shone through the windows as I got out of bed to let some air in and inhale the blissful wonders of the world.

Hah! You thought.

Unfortunately, I'm no angel when I wake up. I'm a whole damn troll living under a bridge.

Now, here is how Elena Ella Garcia wakes up every morning of her sad, pathetic life.

I was sleeping peacefully until -- my stupid alarm just had to interrupt my wonderful slumber.

Snooze.

I proceeded to hit snooze a couple times in hopes of getting extra time to sleep in.

"Elena Ella Garcia! You better hurry or I'm leaving without your late ass!" Ashton, the asshole, the dipshit, the fart cloud, the unhonorable brother of mine yelled as he rudely banged on my door.

"Leave me alone!" I yelled back, my eyes still shut and hugging my pillow.

Shit. I'm gonna be late.

I got out of bed as fast as I could (so fast that even the Flash would be jealous) and change into what I think is presentable which is a baggy black shirt that I painted on to make it look better and blue denim mom jeans.

I quickly scurried to my bathroom, brushed my teeth, wash my face and do my business. I took my stuff and put on my glasses, rushing out of my room.

I ran down the stairs, grabbed an apple from the refrigerator and went straight to my brother's black Mustang car or whatever. I'm not so interested in cars. As long as it can function perfectly, I could care less about the brand.

As I was just about to open the car door and sit in the front passenger seat, I saw the devil himself sitting there and smirking at me. Probably proud at the fact he got there before me.

But he still looked hot so...

"Ugh...great." I muttered to myself and went to sit at the back instead

"Nice to see you too, princess." Damien says sarcastically.

"You too, Princess." I mock him

I plugged my innocent ears with earphones to prevent them from being contaminated by Damien and Ashton's 'bedroom stories'.

. . . . .

We arrive at school and I got out the car and proceed to walk into...what was this place called again?

Oh right, hell.

I walk to my locker where my friends are chatting excitedly amongst each other.

Ashton and Damien walked through the entrance with a sort of 'look at me, I'm hot' look and a stupid smolder on their faces as they walked past swooning girls and boys.

I just roll my eyes and a girl, whose hip looks like it's fractured by the way she was walking, tried flirting with him. He looks at the girl horrified, most likely because she has caked her face with make up more than an average person which covered her natural beauty. One thing about Damien, he hates it when girls who flirt with him wear too much makeup because the makeup would be smudged all over his face. Not my words, his. I have nothing against girls who like to do their make up. In fact, I wish I was good with make up. I usually just end up making myself look more like a clown than I usually look.

I make kissy faces at him and laugh. He playfully glares at me and sends me a flying kiss. I catch the nonexistent kiss in the air, throw it on the floor and stomp on it. I smirk at his shocked face. He was still ignoring the girl. He makes a heart with both his hands and break it apart. He mouthed 'you hurt me'. I mouthed back 'I know' and I turn back to whatever conversation my friends were in.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, smiling.

"What are you talking about?" Jenna asks with her blue eyes narrowed at me, very suspiciously. Her naturally blonde hair was in a loose bun today, she has minimal makeup on to showcase the freckles on her nose.

I raise an eyebrow at her and she shuts her eyes.

"We were talking about a party tonight. Do you want to join?" Breanne asks. Her gorgeous head of brown curls was free and perfectly sticking out at every angle, her dark skin was practically glowing as it did everyday.

"Oh." I said. I don't really like attending parties anymore. I used to but not anymore. For some reasons that should not be stated. *cough* trauma *cough*

"Come on, Ella! It's been forever since we went to a party together!" Jenna over exaggerates.

"A year and a half -- and I have plans tonight." I say

"Plans like watching Netflix in your bed until 4am?" Breanne asks already knowing my answer.

"Maybe. We never know." I reply.

"I do." Breanne mumbles.

"If you go, we can go get ice cream at 3 in the morning and do stupid shit."

"Fine. As long as I don't have to drink." I say with seriousness in my eyes. At least I think I looked serious.

A chorus of agreements came from them as I nodded in satisfaction.

"Boo!" I felt someone say in my ear causing me to jump out of shock.

I heard a familiar pale, redhead laugh at me.

"Very funny, Tessa." I said, sarcastically smiling.

. . .

I have English now and guess who has the same subject as me.

Damien.

And God forbid he sat anywhere else but beside me.

I'm in advanced English class thanks to my high grades.

As I was jotting down the notes from the board, minding my own business,I felt him poking my arm. I just ignored him because he was most likely going to say or ask something stupid.

But then he did it 10 more times and I had it. "What do you want?!" I whisper yelled at him.

"Well I wanted . . . to. . . uh . . .wait . . . nevermind I forgot." He shrugged. I sighed.

Then class ended and the rest of the day was as normal as a normal day.

. . . . .

As soon as school ended, I texted Ashton that I will be going to Breanne's house and won't need back until tomorrow. I also didn't need a ride back because I was following Breanne.

Tessa, Breanne, Jenna, and I hopped into Breanne's car to her house. Tessa and Jenna were leaving their car at the school parking lot, deciding to go back to get it tomorrow morning. Breanne put on Party In The U. S. A. by the one and only Miley Cyrus as we blasted the song loudly with the windows rolled down, singing on the top of our lungs.

I hated that I missed out on a lot of fun stuff because of my past toxic relationship.

"SO I PUT MY HANDS UP THEY'RE PLAYING MY SONG AND THE BUTTERFLIES FLY AWAY!!" We sing together, off key might I add, but who cares - we enjoyed ourselves and that's all that matters. Until, we got pulled over for exceeding the speed limit.

. . . . .

A while later, we arrived at Breanne's house, deciding to watch some Vampire Diaries before we started to get ready since we still had a few hours before the party started. I never understood why us girls had to be extra when it came to high school parties. We had to look all glitz and glam while the male species usually picked some old underwear and t-shirt from the floor and spray some cologne.

Once it was about 5, we each took a shower before getting ready. Jenna and I curled our hair while Tessa straightened it. Breanne had these gorgeous box braids so she didn't need to do anything with it but she did add some beads to make it stand out more.

Picture above is Ella's dress

"I look so hot." I haven't dressed up in such a long time, I really miss everything, you know, going out like a normal person who doesn't pig out in her room and not shower for a whole week.

"Of course you are. Always have been." Jenna said, shrugging.

I gave her a sad smile in return.

"Come on, bitches! Less frowning, more partying!" Tessa says, waving her hands in the air and I bet she is already intoxicated, considering she's been drinking the bottle of wine from Breanne's parents' wine cellar. Her family owns a wine company.

. . . . .

We arrive outside the party and we could already hear the music blasting and see the coloured lights flashing from the mansion. Breanne had to park a little further away for there were very little parking space and where there were had already been taken by early comers.

Jake sees us entering the house and comes over with a huge grin and a bottle of champagne in his hand.

"Hey girls, glad you could make it!" Jake shouted through the loud music. "Looking good, girls." He winked as Breanne laughed lightly, shaking her head.

"Hi, Jake." Breanne grinned, amusedly.

"Is that you, Ella? I haven't seen you at any party in forever! You look hot by the way." He flirted with a suggestive smirk but in a friendly way.

I chuckle. "Thanks."

Jake told us where the drink bar and stuff like that were at.

"Hey, Ella we're going to head off to get some drinks. Wanna join?" Tessa asked.

"No thanks. Go ahead. But not too far in case I want to leave alright." I say.

"Okay." the two of them say in sync as they head off somewhere.

Luckily Breanne was still with me or else I'll just be doing absolutely nothing.

Until, someone caught my eye.

Damien.

"Shit." I mutter to myself.

"What's wrong?" Breanne asks as she follows my gaze.

"Oh, Damien's here. Damn, he looks fine - why are you so worried about that? Worried all the girls won't be able to take their eyes off him?" She smirked suggestively, teasing me about my little crush on my brother's bestfriend.

I shot her an 'are-you-crazy' look.

"If Damien's here, my brother's here, too, and well I didn't tell him I was going to a party. So, if he knows I'm here, I'm as good as dead." I explain to her as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Just avoid them then." She says like it's an easy thing."Let's dance!"

"No, thanks." I declined, adjusting myself in my seat nervously.

A guy came over and started flirting with Breanne who looked really into it. I tried to ignore their flirting until he asked her to dance.

"Goodluck, babe!" B shouted over the loud music as she disappears among the crowd on the dance floor.

I went to sit at the bar and asked for some non-alcoholic juice. Then, I just sat there doing nothing. Told ya.

Everything was fine until my brother spotted me and let me tell you he did not look happy.

"Shit."
