" . . . I hadn't stop you at airport?" Ishita snuggled closer to him as he wrapped the thick blanket around, protecting themselves from the cold.

"Hmm." She smiled watching him as he thought for few minutes looking at the ceiling and added looking towards her "I wouldn't have boarded that flight and would come running back to your arms."

"Aww." She couldn't help but peak his lips softly.

Its their marriage anniversary and here they are discussing how their life would be different if some things didn't happen or just happened different ways. Like a old married couples.

Who would believe she is in her early thirties?

"What if Shagun didn't file for custody?" She whispered softly, giving voice to one of her hidden fear.

"Then." She smiled softly as he interlinked their fingers "one day while visiting Ruhi I would see you and . . . No you would have some how managed to fight with me as you always do and same thing."

"Acha, mai ladai karti hu?" She struggled to get loose from his tight hold but he didn't bludge.
(Its me, who always fight?)

"What if I had met you in college before Shagun?" And just like that she stopped moving, leaning against him.

"I would have ignored you and you would be with Shagun."

"You would have ignored me?"

She smiled softly as his sequealed.

"Of course." She pressed her lips on his palm for few seconds asking him to understand without saying anything before adding in teasing than "you had such dorky glasses and your dressing sense was so bad. I would not have looked at you twice."

Silence prevailed in the room for few moments as he took a deep breath of relief.

"I wasn't that bad." She smiled as he protested but she could tell he was also playing along.

"Please I have seen your pictures. You were a typical nerd." She retroted back.

"Was not." She shivered softly as his wet lips were pressed to her bare shoulder.

"What if . . . I never had tuberculosis?"

And just like that they were again engrossed in finding ways to meet other if the given situation was different.
