"Tum sadhi kar rahi ho?" He asked as soon as their eyes meet.
(You are getting married?)

"Jee." He was sure her blush was hidden by her dark complexion.
(Yep.)

"Hum dono ka hamesa ulta ni hota haina?" He sadly smiled reaching his hand toward her, asking for his 1 year baby girl.

(We are always heading opposite direction, right?)

"Matlab?" He rolled his eyes at her usual phrase.
(Pardon?)

"Mai divorce de raha hu Shagun ko?" He watched as her concerned filled eyes moved towards his baby.
(I am getting a divorce.)

He couldn't help but remember how his wife announced she can't take care of "his" child.

"Ishita, tum maaf kar pawogi mujhe?" He asked softly taking Ruhi on his arms, eyes pleading towards her.
(Ishita, can you ever forgive me?)

"Bhool jayiye us baat ko, Raman. Saal ho chuke hai." Maybe it would have hurt less if she had taunted him, insulted him. But the sad smile felt like salt at his wounds. (Just forget it, Raman. Its been years.)

He nodded softly while she abide the father-daughter and moved towards her home, his eyes never leaving him and one hand clutching the velvet box in his pocket.

"I am sorry, Ishita. But I would like to see my wife in darkness too you know, not only her teeth."

The laugh he generated that day along with her misty eyes still haunts him.

*****

Needed a break because I am writing something really dark. 😅 Yep this is holds way less angst then what I am planning for next. Spoiler alert not a drabble though.

Also working on romantic ones so don't worry.

This one was on my head for very long time and yesterday I saw "Bala" again. Thus this.

Regards
~Gia.
