Few days later:-

"Do you know who I met today?" Mrs. Sangita asked her daughter.

"Who?" Maya asked filling her plate with rice.

"Agastya" Mrs. Sangita replied.

Maya stared at her plate and then looked at her mother. "Yeah! He is here. I too met him at the party that day" she mixed some daal and took a bite.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Mrs. Sangita questioned her.

"Because I didn't find it important. Can we please eat now?" she said getting irritated and Mrs. Sangita just hummed and continued eating her dinner.

After putting the dishes in the sink Maya switched off the kitchen light and went to her room. Getting inside the comforter she switched off the side lamp and snuggled into her warm pillow. Just as sleep was about to embrace her, her phone pinged with notification. She unplugged her phone from the charger and unlocked it.

She plugged her phone in the charger and closed her eyes waiting for the sleep to embrace her. She needs some rest as tomorrow is going to be a long day.

"Hey! I am sorry I am late" Maya pulled out a chair for herself and sat.

"It's fine. I too came few moments ago" Agastya said and rested his hands on the table.

"So, anything special?" Maya asked going through the menu.

"No! Nothing special. I just wanted to meet my bestfriend" Agastya said eyeing Maya. Maya noticed how her added a little pressure on the word bestfriend.

"What are you doing in Mumbai?" Maya asked once they had placed their orders.

"I am shifting my company here. I realized it will be more beneficial for the company. So, I am here for about two months" Agastya informed.

"That's nice. How is uncle and aunty?"

"Mom passed away two years back and dad last year" Agastya said with a sad smile.

"I am so sorry. Are you okay?"

"Yeah! I am fine now" he said trying to sound cheerful. "How is everything at work?"

"Everything is good. I got promoted last month so definitely everything is good" she chuckled.

"And how is uhh what was the name of the boy whom I met at Mr. Rao's party?" He clearly remembered the name but tried to act as of he hardly care.

"Aditya?"

"Yes! Aditya. How is he?"

"He is fine as well. Oh shit!" Maya shreaked.

"What happened?"

"How can I forget? I promised Adi that I will cook dinner for him tonight" she hurriedly took out her phone to check the time.

"You hate cooking" Agastya said.

"Correction. I hated cooking but now I love to do it. You know Adi is such a foodie that because of him I know how to cook half of the menu" she laughed softly and Agastya just passed a fake smile.

He was hating the fact that Maya was talking about Aditya. He was hating the fact that she cooked for Aditya and not for him.

"Well then I should too get a chance to eat the food cooked by you. So, Sunday's brunch at your place" Agastya said no declared.

Maya couldn't say no to him. Well it was just few hours. He will have brunch with them and then he will go his way and she will go her way.

Sunday came sooner than usual. Taking out the last slot of idli Maya turned off the stove. Agastya loved South Indian food so today's menu was South Indian delicacies.

"Ban gaya sab?" Mrs. Sangita entered the kitchen.

"Haan" Maya replied cleaning the kitchen island.

"Yeh mai karti hu tum ja kar naha lo" Mrs. Sangita took the cloth from her hand and asked her to leave.

When Maya came out of her room after having a shower she saw Agastya in her living room.

"Hi!" Agastya said as soon as he saw her.

"Hi!" Maya said and sat beside her mother.

"Maya you know Agastya is here for two months" Mrs. Sangita said.

"I know maa, he told me the other day" Maya said.

They chit chatted for sometime and now the clock struck 1. It was time for brunch.

"Everything is prepared by Maya"Mrs. Sangita told Agastya and he smiled in satisfaction.

"All my favourites" he said happily. He was happy that she still remembered his favourite food.

"Umm....this is so yummy" Agastya moaned as he gulped the food. Mrs. Sangita and Maya chuckled at his antics.

"So Agastya where are you going to live for the next two months" Mrs. Sangita asked.

"I am going to stay in the flat just above yours. I am actually going to meet the owner in an hour" Maya choked on her food.

He was going to live in the same apartment. No way. She was planning to avoid him but seems like destiny have some other plans for them.

Agastya, Maya and Aditya in the same apartment. OMG!!! What is going to happen?
