Finally got Rosaria! I been waitin on her. Also, this chapter features two battles. And I found out about the Sun Urban song a while, and it freaked me out lol. So I wanna share my nightmares with y'all! I'm not the best at writing a battle, so I'm sorry if I wrote Xiao vs Yanfei weird. And I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while? I got caught up in another fic lol.

Shinso turned around and started heading out, and was greeted with the cheers of his fellow General Studies classmates. They seemed proud.

Yanfei glanced over at Xiao. "Adeptus versus Adeptus, huh? That'll be interesting," a female voice said from behind. Yanfei turned.

A tall woman walked out of the shadows. She had long purple hair, and extremely pale skin. She had purplish eyes, and held a polearm in one hand.

"Who are you? I don't recognize you," Yanfei said. The woman shrugged. "My name does not matter. I heard about a group of people stealing Visions, so I came to investigate," she said. Yanfei looked at her, and saw a Cryo Vision glowing on the wall.

The woman stepped back into the shadows.

Weird... Yanfei thought. She seemed like a Mondstadter, but she couldn't be sure.

"Yanfei. You're up," Paimon floated over to Yanfei. "O-oh. Right." Yanfei replied. "Don't feel too nervous, okay?" Paimon said. "Hm? I won't be," Yanfei said, then headed down to face Xiao.

...

"Alright! It's time for our first battle between the refugees!" Mic announced.

"First up, we have Yanfei! She hasn't really stood out much, but look at those antlers!" Mic introduced Yanfei. She touched her antlers at the mention of them. "Why does that matter right now..." she muttered.

"And her opponent, Xiao! The edgy guy who will exorcise your demons but still skewer you if you offend him!" Mic introduced Xiao. Xiao scowled. (Mic how dare)

When Mic started the match, Xiao didn't move. He just stood there, staring at Yanfei, sure he could win, and at the same time, not really interested in the festival at all. He looked her dead in the eye, inviting her to attack him.

Yanfei realized what he was doing. He's confident, but at the same time isn't interested, she thought, strategizing the best way to defeat the Adeptus.

She thrust out fire balls, quickly running around him, surrounding him in flames.

"Fire? I'm not afraid of that," Xiao crossed his arms. He pulled out his polearm, and dashed out of the ring, like in his skill. Yanfei's eyes widened, his arm wrapping around her waist, trying to push her out of the ring. She planted her feet on the ground and gripped his arm, trying to pull it off.

When they stopped, Yanfei was barely away from the line. She looked Xiao dead in the eye, and slammed her forehead against his. It startled him, and he stumbled back a little. He looked up, a bruise on his forehead. He glared.

The area around started going dark, as Xiao had harnessed his karmic energy, his mask appearing on his face. A bead of sweat ran down Yanfei's neck. So that's his full power, she thought, as Xiao charged, pushing her over, out of the ring.

The mask disappeared, and he stared down at her, not even out of breath on the surface. He did, however, have a sort of pained look in his eyes, like he's become used to pain. Todoroki had that same kind of look, but it was way more subtle.

"Train harder," he said, as he walked away.

"Take that as your warning not to mess with this guy!" Mic said, as Yanfei used her hands to support herself as she got up. She rubbed her shoulder, and walked the other way.

Meanwhile at the LOV lair

Shigaraki scowled. "Useless. What good is that Pyro Vision of hers if she won't use it effectively? She'd be better off without it, with it here." he scowled. "We will get ahold of the Visions, Tomura Shigaraki. Patience is key-" Kurogiri started.

"Well it's not soon enough, is it? I want those Visions here, now." Shigaraki glared. Kurogiri nodded. "I will begin strategizing," he said. "Where's our grand traitor anyway?" Shigaraki asked. "He's currently attending an event," Kurogiri said. "He should've just called in sick. I don't want to lose any precious time," Shigaraki growled.

Sports Festival

Xiao sat down, unfazed. "You we're going easy on her, weren't you?" Zhongli asked. "She's a newer Adeptus. The match would've been over in seconds." Xiao replied. "Mm. Then why don't you train her?" Zhongli asked. "I have more important matters." Xiao said. "You taught Ganyu," Zhongli pointed out. Xiao said nothing.

...

"Moving on!" Mic yelled over the crowd. Some scouts were already taking notes (some wanted Xiao or Midoriya in their sides, despite the fact Xiao technically can't accept because a) they need to stay at UA, and b) he wouldn't trust some random Japanese dudes who look like NPCs).

Sero stood across from Todoroki in the arena. Sero was cracking his knuckles while Todoroki glowered at him. What's with this guy... Lumine thought as she stared at Todoroki.

"The cream of the crop! But somehow still as plain as they come! Hanta Sero of the Hero course!" Mic introduced Sero to the crowd.

"Versus the best of the best! Strongest of the strong! Shoto Todoroki, also from the Hero Course!" Mic introduced Todoroki.

"START!"

Sero continued to stretch. "I don't feel like winning..." he said. He then sent tape out of his elbows which wrapped around Todoroki. "BUT I DON'T FEEL LIKE LOSING EITHER!" he yelled, throwing Todoroki to the side.

"He's trying to push him out with a surprise attack! It's probably the best strategy for him! Sero's giving it his all!" Mic yelled, clearly into the festival.

"Sorry 'bout this...." Todoroki said.

A huge wall of ice covered half the arena, locking Sero in the ice.

"Who knew someone could have this much power..." Paimon said quietly. "I doubt even the Cryo Archon could do something like this..." Zhongli said to himself. He smiled. "When again, she might,"

"T-that's overkill... no?" Sero said.

"Sero... can you move?" Midnight asked, half her body frozen. "Y-you're kidding... right? Ow ow ow..." Sero said, half sarcastic.

"Sero is immobilized! Todoroki wins!" Mic announced. The crowd all responded with "Good try"

"Sorry, I overdid it. I was just annoyed," Todoroki said, putting his hand to Sero's chest to melt the ice.

That's chapter 17! Fun fact that isn't so fun at all: There are tiny little bugs on your face right now. They're harmless, and when you go to sleep at night, they mate with each other on your face. I don't think any of us need to know that lol
