Y/n Bennett, walked the empty streets of Mystic Falls recalling the events of today. It had been a rough night with Elena being taken by Klaus and getting into a fight with Damon coz Bonnie and her failed to pinpoint Elena's location. The older (by two years) Bennett witch just wanted to curl up under her covers and hope that tomorrow she'd be successful in finding her sister's best friend.

ʻʻHello,darlingʼʼ Y/n glanced back to find the youngest Mikealson. She groaned ʻʻGo away,Kol.ʼʼ

ʻʻNow that's not very niceʼʼ Kol used his vampire speed to step in front of her, making the witch stop in her tracks.
ʻʻWhat do you want?ʼʼ she sighed.

ʻʻIt's not what I want. It's what I'm going to help you getʼʼ he stated with a smirk. Y/n, folded her arms, interest piqued so she cocked an eyebrow gesturing for the original to go on.

ʻʻYou know a little respect would do well,darlinʼʼ He teased making the girl breathe out ʻʻAlright,Kol. Please tell me what is it you want to help me with?ʼʼ

ʻʻMuch better. You want to find your doppelganger friend. Well,love I know exactly where she isʼʼ

ʻʻWait... wouldn't Klaus dagger you for going against him?ʼʼ she frowns.

ʻʻAww is your little witch heart concerned for me? I'm flattered but don't worry about my brother, going against him and defying the rules is sorta my... hobbyʼʼ The brown eyed Mikealson cockily stated as Y/n, rolled her eyes ʻʻOf course it isʼʼ

Kol chuckled ʻʻyou can never be nice,can you?ʼʼ The witch,shrugged. ʻʻCome onʼʼ Kol gestured for her to follow him.

later on

Elena had been found thanks to Kol and Y/n had immediately called Damon whom had gotten Elena out of the warehouse. While Kol stayed on lookout and protection for the two Bennett witches. Elena grinned upon seeing her friends and she pulled them into a hug.
She pulled away and glanced at Kol, murmuring a thank you.

He nodded ʻʻIt's always a pleasure when it comes to foiling my brother's plansʼʼ this made Y/n laugh and Kol shot her a brief wink. Bonnie frowned at the two and Y/n made an innocent face.

ʻʻI'll be taking Elena and Bonnie homeʼʼ Damon spoke glancing at the older Bennett ʻʻyou coming,witchy?ʼʼ

The girl pondered for a moment as she looked at Kol ʻʻactually I think I'll be fine.ʼʼ Bonnie was about to protest but stopped when Damon gave her a look and the three soon left after.

ʻʻYou chose me over them. Now I think you're warming up to me,Y/n Bennett.ʼʼ

She shot Kol a grateful smile, playfulness aside and genuinely said
ʻʻThank you for todayʼʼ

Kol Mikealson's lip contorted into a genuine smile and as the two locked eyes Y/n wondered if she could possibly acquire feelings for the young Mikealson.

after their walk home

Kol dropped the witch off at her doorstep and as he was about to leave. She leant forward with a bit of apprehension giving the vampire a hug. Kol returned it and as they pulled apart his fingers grazed her cheek ʻʻTake care,darling.ʼʼ

ʻʻDon't get daggeredʼʼ she holds onto his arm as she warns which makes Kol chuckle softly ʻʻDon't you worry about thatʼʼ Kol tucks her hair behind her ear tenderly before vamp speeding off.

Y/n,smiled giddily as she got inside her house. She hung up her coat and made her way to the bedroom,thinking about Kol as she got ready for bed. Kol Mikealson wasn't so bad afterall. . .
