Damn it. I revealed my powers to Y/n. Curse that cake. It wasn't my fault- I couldn't let her get stamped in the face by strawberry whipped cream.

"...a psychic." Y/n whispered, looking up in shock. Her eyes gazed into mine, but she didn't seem scared. I sighed. My intuition told me she had psychic abilities, so I wasn't that worried. Offering my hand, I helped her up.

"Get the cake," I said. She picked it up without a word.

"Saiki-"

"Just quit with the formality. Now you know my secret. Just call me by my first name. "

"Kusuo..." she started, unsure, as I opened the door for her. I shuffled the boxes of treats I held under my arm and nodded to the door, silent. What was I supposed to say? This was awkward, but at least she was the only one who had seen.

"Don't act like you're surprised," I said once we were walking down the street. I caught a purple spiky head at the corner of my eye and whipped around to face him.

"Toritsuka," I bit. He shakily turned his head towards me. Y/n turned around to gaze at the scene.

"Y-yes, Saiki?" he said, his voice trembling.

"You moron," I snapped, "you know what you just caused."

"No... don't tell me she knows.."

"Guess who's fault it is?" I tossed the sweets over my shoulder and let them float down, knowing there was nobody around but these two idiots. I heard Y/n gasp softly.

"I'm sorry!" Toritsuka screamed and ran off, attempting to escape my wrath.

"Good grief," I muttered turning back to Y/n. "I guess we'd better get walking. I doubt Aren's coming."

"Um... Saiki-" she started, pointing to the sweets.

"That's right," I sighed. "Now you know about my powers." I picked up the sweets with ease and walked around her. She followed, and I could hear her heart pounding.

"That's... that's impossible."

I didn't care too much if she believed me or not. It would cause problems for me, after all. Still, I hoped it wouldn't ruin the progress we had made. It's not like I considered her as a friend or anything but if she was freaked out, I'd be a little offended. If she didn't also have powers, I was pretty much screwed.

"Kusuo-kun," she blurted, suddenly grabbing my forearm and stopping. "What else can you do?"

I turned to face her and saw excitement in her eyes. They glinted with surprise and curiosity.

"Come on Kusuo, I wanna know!" She continued tugging at my sleeve.

"I'm not your toy," I replied dryly. I reclaimed my arm and kept walking. "Besides, you still haven't told me your secrets."

"How do I know that wasn't just luck? I don't even know if what I saw was right because it happened so quickly. I could be delusional for all I know."

"You are delusional regardless, but what you saw was actually what you saw."

She sped up her pace to match with me and give me a shove. I didn't budge with her pathetic push. "Oh come on, Kusuo! Just one little sneak peak?"

I know I had told her to call me Kusuo, but now the repetition was annoying.

"Kusuo-kun, Kusuo-kun, Kusuo-kun, Kusuo-kun!" The parasite continued to pull at my sleeves.

"Good grief. Fine," I caved. it wasn't for her benefit, I was just going to check on Aren since he was supposed to help us transport the sweets. "I have clairvoyance, as you already know."

"Oh, yes... but what is that?"

"I can see where and what someone is doing." With that I stopped, setting down the boxes. Sighing, I focused on the purple headed punk, Aren Kuboyasu. My eyes crossed and suddenly I could see the perp. He was holding Kaidou on his shoulders, letting him hang up streamers. Kaidou was wobbling and Aren was grunting, trying to hold still.

"Quit moving!"

"I-I'm sorry, I can't reach!"

"Dammit Shun, you're still too short?"

A sudden burst of laughter disrupted my focus. I lost the scene and my vision tunneled back to Y/n; she was now clutching her gut, crouched on the ground, laughing.

"What is wrong with you?" I muttered.

"Kusuo-kun I can't breathe- you should have seen your face. Damn it, I wish I had a camera-"

"Grow up," I interrupted, "You're just jealous you don't have this power."

She recovered and began to get up, rejecting the hand I held out for her. "Who says I don't?"

"Good point," I said. "So when are you revealing your powers?"

She stiffened, straightening her posture and gait. "I don't have any, Saiki. You know, some of us aren't freaks like you." Y/n picked up the boxes and I followed her path, surprised by her sudden hospitality.

"That's true. But you're not normal, and I think we both know that."

"I guess you'll never know," she answered. I sighed.

"What a pain. It's always you females."

"That's why you're single, Saiki."

I understood that she had trust issues. I just had to pry her open piece by piece.

"Who did you check on?" she asked, referring to the clairvoyance.

"Aren Kuboyasu. He's helping Kaidou with decorations, so we'll just walk to Takahashi's house."

"Let's just hurry up and drop these sweets off so I can go get a dress," she said. I looked down at her, noticing a small bead of sweat on her forehead.

"Are you seriously struggling with that tiny box?"

"Shut up!" she snapped, shifting the box as it slid from her fingers. "Some of us don't have super strength like you, probably."

"True, but you're still weak either way." She shot me a glare.

"You're getting a dress with Teruhashi, right?"

"Yeah..." she looked unsure of how to feel about it.

"Be careful," I muttered, "she's something."

Her eyes suddenly widened. "Wait!" she blurted.

"You can read minds, right?"

I took a glance around and glared at her, grimacing. "Y/n you can't just shout those thi-"

"Sorry! But you can, right? Can you hear everyone's, or just like some peoples? Like how loud does it have to be. Like do you have to concentrate to hear them or does it-"

Good grief. She just kept bombarding me with questions. The look on her face was panicked.

"Why?" I cut in, squinting my eyes at her. Her lips curved into a shaky smile, her eyes widened.

"I'm just... wondering."

I bent over her, searching for the source of panic in her eyes. Her heart began fluttering faster.

"I have advanced hearing, so I can hear your heart beat increasing, too."

"Shit!" she exclaimed, pushing me away and zooming to a distance. "Can you really hear my thoughts?" A blush crept into her cheeks.

I sighed, dismissing the urge to smirk. "No. I can hear everyone else's but yours and insects. So its either you're an advanced psychic, or you're just dumb as dirt."

I watched as Y/n's face washed over with relief and offense. "Shut up!" she finally blurted, shaking the redness from her face. "That's a relief," she muttered.

"Why's it a relief?" I asked, popping into her personal bubble.

"What!" she shouted, losing grip of the box and dropping it. I let it land softly.

"You've always known I've had good hearing, haven't you?"

She rolled her eyes like she had, but she didn't want to admit it. "I mean, yeah, but I didn't know you would eavesdrop at any given moment."

I shrugged. "I can't help it." I was going to ask her why she was nervous again, but we had reached Takahashi's house.

"Ugh," I said. Y/n mimicked me.

"I hate this guy," she said. I was tempted to agree, but I just said, "I couldn't care less."

"Say, Saiki, can you put curses on people?"

"What the hell?" I asked, taken back. I looked down at her in disgust. "Do I look like a witch to you?"

"With that big nose, yeah, kinda." Now it was my time to be offended.

"Good grief. Don't be jealous." I flaunted my perfectly average nose, but she scoffed.

"If you're really a psychic, guess the dress I'll get with Kokomi."

We walked into Takahashi's house, finding everyone setting things up. Toritsuka was hiding under the coffee table.

"I'm not a fortune teller either," I said. She sighed, "You really are useless."

I sent her a glare.

"Hey guys!" exclaimed Teruhashi when she caught sight of us.

"Buddy!" shouted Nendou, budging Kaidou to join in.

"Is everything ready?" asked Y/n, looking around. Decorations were strung about and eating supplies were neatly stacked on the table.

"Yep, all thanks to Teruhashi," beamed Takahashi. He stared at Kokomi, drooling. She laughed nervously.

"Oh, it was nothing, really. You boys were the one setting everything up!"

"Good grief," I muttered. I was getting sick of the Teruhashi flatter. Kaidou and Toritsuka blushed at Teruhashi's compliment. Kuboyasu looked shocked to see us.

"Oh- sorry I didn't pick you guys up. My bikes are at the shop getting prepared."

Y/n leaned towards me and whispered, "You really are a psychic. He was going to bring a motorbike gang." Yeah, as if that wasn't obvious to everyone.

"Well, are you ready?" Teruhashi asked Y/n.

"Yes!" she answered, fishing out her wallet from her back pocket, making sure everything was still there.

"We'll be back soon!" exclaimed the girls, exiting the house. Teruhashi was thinking, Alright! Time to show this brat I'm the perfect pretty girl!

I couldn't tell what she was thinking, nor could I read her expression. She was sure good at hiding things. But not good enough: I would find out eventually. With Teruhashi's exit, Takahashi's smile faded, and the rest of the boys went dull until they remembered I was here still.

Great, I seriously have to be left alone with them.
