JUNGKOOK'S P.O.V.

What was I thinking when going back? What was I expecting to see or hear by sneaking back? Sungjae clearly told me that he was dating Taehyung so I shouldn't have been surprised. But it really hurts that Taehyung lied to me. Straight to my face. I guess I just wanted him to rub it in my face. I guess that's why I went back.

I didn't stay longer after I saw them kiss. I couldn't. So I ran away. Again. It was weird to see Hoseok and Jimin coming up but I didn't make eye contact with them or stop to talk to them. I'll do the questions and answers, later. For now, I need to leave. Thankfully they didn't follow after me.

I reach down and start walking without looking where I'm going. I, actually, don't know where I want to go. To be honest I want to go and hug my mom and cry on her shoulder. I really want her, right now. But I can't do that. I can't because it will ruin their vacation and also because I have never cried in front of her before so it will only ruin my efforts of a life time to drop my happy-go-lucky mask now, even if I really want to.

I could call Jimin but he's going to be with Taehyung probably, so he won't be coming alone if I called him. And that's not what I need, right now.

Who else can I ask? Namjoon hyung? But he's with Jin hyung and I can't ruin their time, either. We are already going to leave tomorrow so it would be a bummer if I worried them today.

Seems like I have no one to share my pain with, huh? I look up at the sky wondering if someone up there is listening to me. All I want is a shoulder to cry on, right now without answering any questions. Is that too much to ask?

I sigh at my luck and walk over to the trees planted at the lower side of our rooms. It's a nice shady place and gives a beautiful view of the ocean, ahead. I walk over and pull out my hand free from my pocket. It's been a while since I last sat in peace and heard some music. I see multiple calls from Taehyung but I ignore them and put my phone on airplane mode before playing a song. I don't want any interruptions for a while.

As soon as G-dragon's voice flows into my ears I close my eyes and lean back. I guess I'll just sleep this one off as well. Although, I know this pain won't go away with sleep alone but, at least, I'll be able to forget about it for a while. And that's more than enough for me, right now.

I feel drowsiness taking over me after some time passes as the soft slow songs play in my ears and soon I fall asleep.

NO ONE'S P.O.V.

Taehyung looked around to see where Jungkook went but found him no where. He went over to the hut restaurant, beach, the rooms but nothing. It was like Jungkook had disappeared.

Taehyung kept dialing Jungkook's number but after a few unattended calls his number became unaccessible. Worry graced his features as he ran from one spot to the other hoping to find some sort of hint to where Jungkook might be. He was standing outside the rooms when he saw Sehun walking towards his direction. In an instant Taehyung reached the guy and stopped him.

"Hey, have you seen Jungkook?"

Sehun took in the weary face of the boy standing impatiently in front of him before thinking about the question.

"Yes, I think I have seen him going that way." Sehun pointed towards the side Taehyung had just come from.

"I just came from there. He's not there." Taehyung's voice was laced with so much worry that Sehun wondered if he should go and look for Jungkook himself.

"Did you check both places, up and down?" Taehyung was about to nod when he realized what he was asked.

"Down? You can go down as well?" The ray of hope Taehyung found brightened him up a little bit.

Sehun gave a nod and that was all Taehyung needed to take off in full speed. When he reached down, he only saw a bunch of trees but before anxiety took over him he saw a pair of feet protruding out from behind a tree. He recognized Jungkook's shoes at first glance.

Taehyung stopped and calmed his breathing, first. He needed to stay clear and focused about it. It was obvious that his strategy to lighten the mood playfully, during their conversation worked and he would have gotten it all done the way he wanted only if Sungjae didn't show up. The mere thought of the guy gave him shudders as he wiped his mouth for the nth time. Taehyung couldn't believe Sungjae forced himself on him. But he pushed those thoughts away. Sungjae was not to be brought in this anymore.

He slowly walked over to the tree he saw feet behind and peeked his head out first. His expression softened when he saw Jungkook's eyes closed and peaceful heaving of his chest. Taehyung's eyes traveled down to Jungkook's hands and his heart stopped at the sight of bloody bandage. It was not just red but literally dripping with blood, now. He had forgotten about the injury and had his hand gripped tightly before but Jungkook didn't say anything back then.

Taehyung quietly moved back and up to his room to grab the first aid box and came back. He carefully sat next to Jungkook making sure he doesn't wake him up. When he saw the earphones plugged in Jungkook's ears, a gentle smile graced his lips.

Taehyung slowly removed the soaked dressing and bit his lip at the sight of Jungkook's hand. The cut from glass was badly opened up and bleeding. But that wasn't all. He had scrapped his knuckles very deeply despite his hand being covered and they were all bloody.

"It must have hurt a lot." He couldn't help the words but thankfully Jungkook couldn't hear him because of the ear phones.

Taehyung started cleansing his hand and Jungkook hissed in his sleep at the burning feeling as he tried to pull his hand out of Taehyung's hold. Taehyung didn't hold on too tightly as he let the boy move his hand by his choice and once he stopped Taehyung pulled it back to his knee slowly and worked even softer than before. Once he was done with wiping away the blood and cleansing it, he started wrapping it up.

"I'm so sorry, Kookie. I know you can't hear this but I really am sorry. I don't know how everything became so complicated. It was supposed to be simple and sweet with us saying 'I love you' to each other and then me asking you out. You would say 'yes' and we would make out. Then we would walk along the beach hand in hand and go back to cuddle in bed at night. *sigh* That's how it was supposed to be. Not like this."

He finished up and held Jungkook's freshly bandaged hand gently between his and rubbed over the wrapping as he stared softly at Jungkook's face. Jungkook shuffled a little as he tried to be in a more comfortable position and immediately, Taehyung moved away a little before he made Jungkook to put his head on Taehyung's lap. Once his head landed on the soft flesh of Taehyung, Jungkook snuggled into it as his arm went up and wrapped around Taehyung's waist. Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's cuteness as he raked his finger gently through Jungkook's hair.

"I love you, Kookie. Only you. But how do I prove it to you?" Taehyung said after he carefully removed the earphones from Jungkook's ears and put them aside before leaning back. His back rested against one of the trees as he put his head against it too before closing his eyes and letting out a tired sigh. He was playing with Jungkook's hair as he relaxed his tired self after a long day and didn't realize when he fell asleep.
