Taehyung ran over to the place Hoseok had mentioned but when he got there, Jungkook was no where to be seen. He looked around a bit but still nothing. It took him a little time to walk further ahead looking around, when he saw Jungkook standing a little way down and towards the end of the beach, throwing pebbles in the ocean ahead. The bubbling feeling returned as Taehyung jogged over to the unaware boy and hugged him from behind startling Jungkook.

"Kookie~"

Jungkook stood like a statue unable to understand what was happening. He slowly turned his head to his side and saw Taehyung grinning from over his shoulder. Jungkook blinked twice before looking back ahead. Taehyung felt the stiffness in Jungkook but before he stepped back on his own, Jungkook harshly pulled his hands from his torso and jerked them away, indifferently. Taehyung was taken aback by the level of rudeness but let it go since Jungkook was unaware of the truth. Taehyung moved ahead and came face to face with him as a huge smile graced his features confusing Jungkook even further.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook finally managed to say something flatly, still not looking at Taehyung, but this time his coldness didn't hurt Taehyung since he knew why Jungkook was shocked.

"It was all just a misunderstanding, Kookie. I thought you were mad at me after the kiss but that wasn't true. But I still thought that and stayed away and that made you think that I was ignoring but I wasn't. And then-" Jungkook held his hand up silencing Taehyung and when the older did, Jungkook spoke monotonously.

"Just stop already." Taehyung blinked at him in confusion as Jungkook stepped back slowly.

"But I'm just-"

Jungkook scoffed at that and it was the first time Taehyung had seen him like that. It looked like Jungkook had totally given up on everything.

"You have already picked one and I know, okay? Stop making things up to cover it. I never thought of you to be a playboy." Jungkook couldn't hold it in anymore and the words in his mind kept coming out of his mouth without his permission but he had no more strength to stop them any longer. Taehyung had weakened him even more by the sudden hug which Jungkook could only wish was really for him and not because Taehyung was only pretending.

"What?" Taehyung looked at him in surprise as he still didn't understand what was Jungkook saying.

"Sungjae already told me that you guys are.. dating." The word came out with much more effort than Jungkook had thought.
"So, don't try to play with me like this. Please. Just leave me out of it, okay?"

Jungkook turned around after that and walked away leaving a dumbfounded Taehyung behind. He had new tears formed but he rubbed his eyes furiously, not letting them fall. He was NOT going to waste his precious tears over someone like Taehyung. He shouldn't. He was not so weak to cry after him. Another scoff escaped him when he recalled Taehyung's shocked face.

/He had the audacity to act surprised in front of me? Unbelievable./

Jungkook blinked multiple times and cleared his eyes as he walked in the direction of the hill. It had become his new favourite spot for a lot of reasons and getting away from painful things was one of them.

------

Taehyung stood there watching Jungkook say all that and then walk away. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He was down right baffled. What did Jungkook just call him? A playboy? How did he become a playboy in a second?

"Sungjae already told me that you guys are.. dating."

That wasn't true. Why would Sungjae say that? Why would he lie? Why would he lie about that to Jungkook? It didn't make sense. What the hell was going on here? Taehyung looked again and Jungkook was a long distance away from him now and if he was right, Jungkook was walking towards the hill.

Taehyung still stood there with Jungkook's strained words repeating in his head as he watched the said boy moving further and further away. Taehyung just blinked as he watched him walk and after what felt like hours he was able to decipher what Jungkook was trying to say. Taehyung sighed heavily before he laughed to himself when he finally put two and two together and ran after Jungkook.
"Jungkook, you brainless idiot."

Jungkook was climbing the stairs slowly when Taehyung reached him and spun him around surprising Jungkook with his sudden appearance. Before Jungkook could say further, Taehyung's lips were already on his. Jungkook took a second or two to register what happened and when he did he pushed Taehyung away with all his strength making Taehyung stumble on the steps but the older managed to stop himself from falling.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Tae?" Jungkook yelled at Taehyung, that too, for the first time, as he wiped his mouth with his sleeve. But Taehyung didn't feel surprised since he expected something like that from him.

"Just listen to me, okay?" Taehyung slowly started walking towards Jungkook, again but Jungkook was beyond furious, now.

"NO! YOU listen to ME! I have had enough of this. Of YOU. I'm tired of this push and pull you are playing here. I know Sungjae likes you and you like him back. I get it, okay? So stop bothering me!" Jungkook tried to keep his composure even in this situation as much as he could. He wasn't going to fall for any more tricks of Taehyung.

"But I never-" Taehyung tried to defend himself but that made Jungkook even angrier.

"Taehyung, I don't know what you think of me as but let me tell you what I'm not. And that's a toy. I'm not a toy for you to play with when you like and throw me away when he comes around. I'm not an idiot. I can see that so just get the fuck out of my face, already. I hate your very presence, Taehyung."

Jungkook's breathing became ragged and harsh after that and even though he tried to remain calm he couldn't anymore. His patience was tarnished and he wasn't able to hold back his harsh words which he knew well that Taehyung deserved them. Jungkook stared at Taehyung with blood shot eyes filled with anger as the latter's expression became unreadable. He was half expecting Taehyung to come up with an excuse but it seemed like he had caught him off guard since Taehyung was just standing silently. Without waiting for Taehyung to say anything, Jungkook stomped his way up the stairs.

Taehyung just stood there speechless, once again on the same day. He might have had a few doubts before but now it was confirmed. Jungkook actually loved him to the moon and back but he also actually believed that Taehyung was pretending to be interested in him when he in fact liked Sungjae. But what he said to Taehyung was a little too harsh for the older to take it casually. He was indeed shocked when Jungkook said that he hated him but it was understandable, now. Jungkook was hurt and he had every right to say all that.

Taehyung smiled to himself at the thought that Jungkook actually felt that strongly for him that he had to choose such words to show his anger and pain. Taehyung shook his head and decide to make his way up since it wasn't really the time to stand there and think about all that. He had to clear up the confusion in Jungkook's head, first.

Before Taehyung even took one step his name was called from behind him.

"Taehyung!" Sungjae was making his way up the stairs when Taehyung turned around. He looked up at the disappeared back of Jungkook and then back at Sungjae as his lips pressed in a thin line.

"Hey Sungjae!" Taehyung's leg started shaking as he tried to think of a way to politely send Sungjae away.

"Hi. Would you mind if I joined you going up there?" Sungjae came up and stood next to Taehyung as his arm slung over Taehyung's shoulder. Taehyung bit his inner cheek and let out a sigh as he closed his eyes.

"No- YES. I mean, yes. I would mind that, actually. I_I'm sorry Sungjae, but I really have to go." And Taehyung didn't wait for an answer as he removed Sungjae's arm and left him standing there surprised before he ran up after Jungkook.

/Very polite indeed. Good going Taehyung./

But Taehyung didn't let his conscience get to him right now. Jungkook was his first priority, not Sungjae.

------

Jungkook reached the top and kicked the ground hard as he let out a growl.

"I hate this." He walked over to the railing and even though it was tough metal he still punched it. He kept on going forming a bend in it as his hand bruised with each hit. He didn't care though. The bruise in his chest was much more painful for him to care about the one on his already injured hand.

"He played with me."

Punch

"He gave me mixed signals."

Punch

"He kissed my cheek."

Punch

"He left me for that bartender."

Punch

"Then he hugged me."

Punch

"And stole my first kiss."

Punch

Punch

"He's an asshole."

Punch

"A lousy jerk."

Jungkook stopped when the railing became a mess where he was punching it and panted as he looked at it. He was out of breath after the yelling, strong stepping and now, punching.

"I hate you Taehyung. I FUCKING HATE YOU." Jungkook yelled at the top of his lungs before pushing himself away from the railing and sitting down with a thump.

"You * pant* you've already *pant* said that *pant* before." Jungkook whipped his head around and saw Taehyung bent down, holding his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

Jungkook scoffed at him coldly before looking back ahead.

/Some nerve./

He came here first so there's no way he was leaving this place. Taehyung would have to leave and he was going to make him. He won't be the one backing away anymore. He was going to push Taehyung away this time and onwards from here. He had had enough of this stupid thing going on.
