Danny McArthur
As the bus dropped them all off directly in front of their gates, Danny decided to give his phone number to Dalton and Colby so that they could contact him when they managed to get in touch with their brothers.

"It's (+44) 07551251863."

"Giffgaff? I thought you swore to using Vodafone for the rest of your life." Colby commented as he inputed his information.

Danny snorted at them. "That was three years ago, Giffgaff is way better than Vodafone in my opinion. Better deals for good prices. Anyway... I'd better go before I catch on fire."

At their confused looks, he motioned at the bus driver who was staring unblinkingly, impatience in his eyes.

Colby snorted then pulled him into a tight hug, holding on longer than was normal, but Danny knew that he just missed being close to him.

After Colby released him, Dalton pulled him into a hug and it took just as long before they heard the bus driver clearing his throat in impatience.

Dalton pulled away and looked at that man. "Have some sympathy, man."

The bus driver only rolled his eyes at him amidst giggles from the other Omegas on board.

Dalton turned back to Danny and grinned at him before entering the bus once more, waving at him along with a reluctant Colby who looked to be seconds away from leaving with Danny.

"Bye, Danny!"

Said guy waved at them with a grin as the bus driver breathed a sigh of relief and closed the doors; he continued waving until he couldn't see them anymore.

Sighing softly, he turned around and walked up the cobblestone path to his house. To tell you the truth, he felt a bit... drained. It sounded weird but that was the most he had ever said to Dalton and Colby without insulting them.

He can admit that he missed them those three years, they had all grown up together and to be in such an argument with his childhood friends did take a strain on him. Sure, he did find other friends but that's not the same, he had only known them for two years and some months  while his, Colby and Dalton's parents were friends from the start.

They were still friends even though the three of him had stopped hanging out with each other. Their parents had simply said that it was their argument and that they weren't going to get in the middle of it.

Yeah... It was frustrating but at least his parents weren't up in his business all the time... well, his dad wasn't.

His Mum on the other hand, whew child, she was another matter.

It was because of this that he felt reluctant to tell her his results knowing that it would lead to her coddling him until it was time for him to leave. To be honest, he didn't really kind but as her child, he found it his duty to complain about any babying done.

He pulled out the Obito Keychain Maxx had given him three years ago.

Maxx had always been amused at his love for Anime so any gifts that he had given Danny was always Anime themed and useful in some way. Danny wasnt interested in any costumes or anything, he wanted items that he could use everyday without people staring at him strangely.

Nothing against people who dressed up in their favorite character costumes though, he felt excluded because there were hardly any notable characters for his skin colour but enough of that, no time for even more depressing thoughts.

After unlocking the door, he stepped inside, the door closing and locking itself behind him.

Dropping his bag on the floor, he kicked off his Trainers and walked into the living room to see his dad watching the tele.

"Afternoon, Dad." He plopped down on the couch and his eyes immediately zoomed in on the tele which was showing The Chase.

"Hey, D. Food is in the oven so just heat it up when you're ready. Your Mum went to pay the Gas and Electric, they were running low because some people have been baking a lot over these last few days and using the washing machine alot." He looked pointedly at Danny who only grinned.

"Well you guys aren't complaining when you finish everything without leaving any for later, not to mention, baking is a messy job, can't help it and Mum would throw a fit I left it all for her to wash."

His dad only laughed in reply, not denying his words. "Can't exactly help if they're too delicious to save for later. But then again, there are slices of Red Velvet, Cheesecake and Fruit cake left."

Danny snorted at that. "I bet that if I were to go in the kitchen now, I won't find more than two slices of each if there really are any left."

"Probably." He agreed, his eyes glued to the tele where The Sinnerman just insulted a contestant who chose -£2000 instead of sticking with their £1000.

"God, if I was ever on the Chase, I'd be so mad if some idiot subtracted from the money I worked my arse off to bring back," He ranted, eyebrows furrowed as his eyes were glued to the screen. "I bet they're all wishing that the Sinnerman catches him."

Danny snorts once more and grins at his dad. "Why exactly would you need to go the Chase? Leave it for the people who need the money." He laughed when his dad sighed and threw a pillow at him which he caught.

"I'm just saying, if it was me, I'd be pissed and I won't care if the world sees. So... Enough of that, what was your result?"

Dannh stiffened momentarily but relaxed seconds later when he saw how uncaring his dad sat, as if it was no big deal what he presented as; he was pretty sure that his dad could determine his gender if he scented the air but that would be weird since he's his dad.

Instead of hesitating and trying to avoid it, he just answered straight away. He wasn't embarrassed at his Gender because Omegas were highly sought after and treated like the rarest of the rarest gems on freaking planet.

"Omega."

His dad hummed, not taking his eyes off the tele. "I can't exactly say that in surprised but I was hoping against that."

For a split second, Danny held his breath, his chest constricting as he waited for his dad to continue.

"I don't mean it in a disappointed way." He turned to stare at Danny who was already looking at him. "It's just... If I remember correctly, you'll have at least a month left to stay with us before your Alpha comes for you. It's gonna be hard for us to not see your face everyday. I really hoped that you were a Beta and I know that your Mum hoped the same thing."

Danny sighed and looked down at his lap; he knew that his Mum would take him leaving the hardest.

She's never been quiet about telling them that this house was theirs and that she'd rather they live the rest of their lives here with their own families than to move out.

But then again, he was kinda happy that he presented as an Omega. He had nothing against Betas but he wanted the Fairytale where he met someone who he could easily connect with, fall in love, get married, start a family and live the rest of their lives together. Not to say that Betas can't have their own Fairytale endings, but it was noticeably difficult because Betas could only permanently bond with other Betas, they could temporarily bond with Alphas but the bond mark has to be redone every five years unlike with an Alpha and Omega bonding.

The unfortunate thing was that Betas could sleep around with whoever while being bonded cause the bond breaks pretty easily unlike Alphas and Omegas so yeah, Betas have a hard time getting a permanent Fairytale ending.

"Yeah." He cleared his throat and looked back up at his dad who was looking at him, sadness in his eyes.

"I'm not ready to have you leave and when the time comes, it'll be hard for us because I'm pretty certain that Levi and Daisuke are mates while Andy may probably be a Beta or an Omega who already has a prospective Alpha who wouldn't care what she presents as. You'll be the only one really moving away and I doubt that your Mum and I are ready for that."

He couldn't help but get up from where he was sitting to move closer to his dad who wrapped him up in a hug, burying his face in Danny's hair.

"I know dad, but I promise that I'll call and video you whenever I can. I know that it'll not be the same but hopefully after our bonding period had finished, my Alpha would allow me to visit you guys. I will miss you guys alot but it's either that or we can all get in big trouble."

His dad cleared his throat so that his voice wouldn't crack as he responded. "Unfortunately. It will still be hard letting you go but it's for the best. I'm just thankful that you'll be monitored so that no Alpha can take advantage of you."

For years now, the Government has increased security for Omegas so that no one could take advantage of them and on a smaller scale, they've done the same for Betas and the rare Submissive Alphas. It was extremely rare to hear about an Omega being abused because of the extensive monitoring being done but once in a decade, there's a story in the papers about some Alpha managing to hurt their Omega or some Alpha selling their Omega in sex trafficking rings which had always been dealt with. Of course, those Alphas are long dead by now.

Omegas are precious and anyone who abused them always pay with their lives.

Not to say that Submissive Betas aren't the same but compared to an Omega, they aren't given the same treatment.

"God, your Mum is gonna freak out." His dad murmured into his hair, trying to commit his scent to memory.

Danny smiled and allowed his dad to coddle him, knowing that his Mum was going to be much worse for the weeks to come.

"Yeah," he agreed softly. "I doubt I'll be able to move for than a couple centimetres from her."

Travis McArthur snorted at that, knowing fully well that his wife was going probably going to be glued to Danny's side.

"I don't expect any less."

Just as Danny and his dad had predicted, his Mum went ballistic at the news and had already started coddling him, he wasn't complaining though because he could hear her crying all the time about losing him too early so he endured everything.

And as he had predicted, there were hardly any cake left and when his siblings got home, they gobbled everything up but he wasn't even angry. He was really surprised when it his Mum had come out of the kitchen with a plate full of thick slices of the the three different cakes.

When asked where she got it from.

"I'm not an idiot, you think that I didn't hide any from those black holes you call your stomach?"

Showing how greedy the were, they all snuggled up to their Mum with pleading faces, begging her for a taste and as usual, she relented and give them each a bite before shooing them away.

"That's all you're getting, you guys weren't thinking about Mum when you ate everything up."

Danny had laughed at that from his spot in the single seater couch before his Mum turned her attention to him.

"So, what did you guys present as? I almost forgot to ask."

His stomach dropped and he avoided looking at her eyes as he revealed his results.

As forseen, Levi turned out to be an Omega and they had discovered his bond immediately with Daisuke. Andy was a Beta and she had bonded with Luka.

His siblings were prenty lucky to have mates with people already living in Henley-on-Thames. Him on the other hand, he would probably be moving away cause he doubted that he would be matched with any of the guys in his school.

And to be completely honest, some part of him was hoping that he would be matched With Maxx even though it was unlikely that Maxx was unmated after three years.

Anyways...

His Mum had gone ballistic at the thought of him moving out and since then has been practically joined to his side.

Hell, if it wasn't for his dad, she would probably be sleeping in his room with him and that was just too far for him.

He wouldn't say anything about her coddling but he could sleep by himself.

After that day, he knew that everything would change because they would have the thought of his impending departure on their minds and sure, he was acting calm about it but it was just because it hadn't sunk in fully yet that he was gonna leave his family in a month's time.

Let's just say that he was dreading that happening.

They had been given two weeks off school so that they could get comfortable as their bodies would begin changing to fit their new status.

Natalia was an Alpha which was no surprise at all while Ayame was a Beta.

If that had been true then the Invigilator would've discovered the bond when Danny had presented.
