A/N: hello lovelies

so another time skip here. like i said, we're gonna have a few time skips cause we've got like a year before infinity war and nothing really happens besides a whole bunch of fluff and regular stuff so i'm not gonna write about every single day they spend until infinity war lol

but, yeah, this is a big one: stark wedding! it's a giant wedding in this book but i honestly imagine it much more lowkey, i just didn't have time to write it that way so sorry, you'll have to deal with a flashy, glamorous wedding instead :)

"Peter Parker, are you

proposing to me right now?"
————————————————————

TWO MONTHS LATER

"Pepper...wow...you look..." Adelaide started.

"...Incredible," Happy finished. The teenager nodded. She really did look incredible.

"Really, you think? It's not too much?" the woman asked as she smooth her hands over her white gown. She turned around, looking at her reflection in the mirror over her bare shoulder. Adelaide shook her head.

"Tony's gonna sob like a baby," she breathed, awestruck. Pepper smiled, holding her hands out for the teenager. Adelaide took her hands and stepped forward. Pepper squeezed her hands.

"You know what's crazy? I'm not nervous," she said, making Adelaide smile. She threw her arms around the woman, hugging her tightly as she hugged her back. Pepper kissed the top of her head. "I love you, honey. I wouldn't want anyone else but my daughter to be my maid of honor."

Adelaide squeezed her one more time before pulling away, sniffling. She dabbed the corner of her eyes with her finger, trying to not mess up the makeup she had sat in the makeup chair for for two hours.

"I can't believe you both are going to be married," she said, grinning. Her parents, getting married. Life felt too good to be true lately.

There was a knock on the door and the wedding planner poked her head inside, "They're ready."

Adelaide squeezed Pepper's hands one more time before quickly kissing her cheek.

"I'll see you soon," the teenager said before following the wedding planner out of the room. Adelaide fixed her dress as they hurried down the hall.

It was a spaghetti strap full-length satin dress in the color mint green. There was a small slit on the right side that came up to her knee. She had to wear heels, but Pepper let her wear the shorter ones. They were strappy and silver with thin heels. She just couldn't afford to fall. Especially not when the whole world would be watching.

The wedding planner handed her a bouquet of white flowers to hold as they approached the end of the hall where she saw a certain boy in a black tuxedo, nervously adjusting the white rose in the breast pocket of his tux. The other groomsmen, including Rhodey (who was also the best man) were there too, already standing there with their designated bridesmaids. Rhodey gave her a bright smile which she returned.

When Peter heard her approaching, he looked up, his eyes widening. She had a girlish grin on her face, barely containing her excitement. She raised her eyebrows at him, her grin widening.

"You look amazing," she said when she came to stand in front of him. His brown eyes looked her up and down a few times before he could find the right words to say.

"M-Me?" he said, "Look at you...Ada...you look...I don't even know. You look like...like a girl that I love very, very, very much."

"Oh good, it was just the look I was going for," she breathed in relief, "I was worried I might look like a girl you only like a little bit." Her hands fixed the flower in his pocket and his tie. He was wearing a black shirt under the black tuxedo with a black tie and...goddamn, black was really his color. She even caught a glimpse of black Fossil on his wrist Tony had bought for him as an apology for how he reacted when he first found out they were dating.

He watched her with a smile and she caught him staring.

"Hi," he smiled.

"Hi," she said, smiling just as big. She looked into his happy brown eyes and she could have stayed that way forever if there wasn't a wedding waiting to happen. Thank god they had hired a wedding planner because she would have been just awful at the job. One look at the love of her life and everything else immediately became secondary.

"Alright, alright, places everybody!" the wedding planner said and they all lined up outside the door in their orders. She and Peter would go last and Rhodey would go just before them.

Peter held out his arm and Adelaide took a deep breath, looping her arm through it before standing up as tall as she could.

"Ready?" Peter whispered to her when it was almost their turn. She nodded stiffly.

"Ready," she whispered just as the wedding planner gestured for them to walk down the aisle together.

At first, Adelaide focused on trying to not fall and she held on tightly to Peter's arm to help keep her balance. Luckily, he was much steadier than her. All eyes in the room were on them. Then, when she had taken a few steps and was sure she wouldn't fall, she looked ahead where she saw Tony standing there, watching her with a gentle smile. She immediately smiled back like a reflex, relaxing instantly. He looked incredibly handsome in his black wedding suit with his hair done that way. A wave of happiness rushed through her.

It was moments like this that made everything else worth the pain.

When they reached the end of the aisle, Peter kissed her cheek and they parted ways, going to stand on their respective sides. Tony gave Peter an approving nod before the boy went to stand behind him.

And then, the music started and Pepper walked in.

Everyone stood up and Adelaide's heart swelled with happiness when she saw Pepper in her white gown again, walking down the aisle with Happy escorting her. Adelaide glanced at the billionaire. Most people wouldn't know if they didn't know him, but she knew that this was the face he made when he was trying to not cry.

And when Pepper joined Tony at the altar, Adelaide made eye contact with Peter and smiled softly. His brown eyes crinkled at their corners and her heart jumped a little bit.

I love you, he mouthed.

I love you too, she mouthed back.

—————

They had done it, Tony and Pepper had gotten married and they were dancing together on the floor, looking happier than ever.

Adelaide was standing on the side, her arm wrapped around Peter's as they both watched Tony and Pepper dance slowly together. Adelaide leaned her head against Peter's shoulder, smiling. She hoped she would feel that happy one day when she got married.

"They look really happy," Peter said quietly to her.

"They do," she agreed. She took a deep breath, trying to memorize this moment with all five of her senses. She wanted to freeze time right here, right now.

"Dance with me?" Peter asked and she lifted her head up from his shoulder to look at him. The lights had been dimmed a bit for the new couple's first dance, but, from this close, she could still see the twinkle in her favorite brown eyes.

"Always," she said and let him lead her to the dance floor.

Others had joined the floor as well and so they melted into the crowd, just another couple in love. She let Peter lead her around the open floor, but after stepping on his toe a few times, she slipped off her heels and slid the straps of both shoes onto her wrist. She pushed herself onto her toes to be tall enough to wrap her arms around his shoulders. Peter had his arm around her waist, occasionally lifting her off of her feet to spin her around.

After a while, she laid her head on his chest, closing her eyes as the soft music played through the room, the only reminder that the world existed outside of the two of them dancing together.

There was something inherently beautiful about slow dancing with your lover. Everything else melted away until it was just the two of them left in this whole world, dancing alone. The music seemed to play by itself, eager to give the two lovers a rhythm to glide to. The universe changed its frequency to match the one of their hearts beating together.

"Think this will be us one day?" Peter murmured softly to her. She smiled into his tux.

"What? Married?" she whispered.

"Yeah," he said quietly, "Do you think we'll get married one day?"

"Peter Parker, are you proposing to me right now?" she gasped quietly, lifting her head from his chest to look up at him, "Yes. Yes, I'll marry you."

"D- I uh..." he stuttered, looking lost. He went over his words in his mind again, wondering if he had actually accidentally just asked Ada to marry him.

"I'm kidding," she chuckled, stopping him before he began descending into his panic, "We're only fifteen."

"Your jokes are lethal," he mumbled. She grinned.

"Yes," she whispered, "Yes, I think we will get married one day. To each other, if that wasn't clear."

Peter smiled, pulling her closer, "If I'm not marrying you, I'm not marrying anyone else, love."

"I love you," she whispered. He leaned down, softly kissing her cheek before burying his face in her neck and breathing her in. She closed her eyes, holding onto him tightly.

"I love you more," he whispered against her skin.

And they danced that way until the sun came down.
