I don't know how long I was there for. I stayed in Anthony's room hoping he'd return soon.

He never returned.

I sat in one of his cushioned chairs, staring out upon the city. I felt somewhat greedy for staying here. Looking at the city's beauty. From the destroyed houses and buildings forested in, to the modern towers and houses that took up most of the city. And no one else could see it.

Anthony's lucky. He gets to see this every night before he goes to sleep. Well him and Zoe could.

The sky had a dark red and pink tone to it from the sunset. I thought such view was never possible in the city. And here it was right in front of me. I sighed. Somewhere out there Anthony's up to something. I hope he wasn't in trouble. He's the only one I could trust now.

I don't want to lose him like I did my father.

My father. I missed my dad so much. Every second of the day. It's been almost two days but to me it's felt like a lifetime since I've saw him. What about my mother? How will she feel when she figures out her husband was killed.

"Sheesh Crimson you've been staring out that window for hours" Kaitlyn laughed.

I smiled "It just soothes me at a time like this. And I've never gotten to experience such a view before".

The city never allowed the citizens to see such a view. They feared that we would want to go see the outside world. And when we want to see the outside people will try to make it over the wall or rebel. And if we rebel then we kill and the system falls apart or those citizens die. It was too convoluted and too silly all at once. The council was sensitive with every problem.

I always dreamed I could see sights like this.

"Yeah, I can see that now" there was a pause in her sentence. I turned around to look at her. Her medium length hair was changed to half black and half blonde. Her blue eyes stood out even more than before. She wore a grey sweater and short shorts. She looked way prettier than me.

"Anthony always did what you did Crimson. I'd come here to visit him and he'd always be looking out that window sitting in that chair. The last time I saw him like this was five days ago".
