"Baby" Kartier dragged walking in our room

"Yes my love" I looked up from my computer

"What you doing" he asked going to the dresser taking his gun and setting it on the dresser

"I'm working, I have this new project. It's something different though" I said going back to my computer

"Oh really what is it" he asked kissing me

"It's designing a building.. I mainly focus on Houses as you know but this is such a huge opportunity" I gushed over it smiling.

"Yea?" He smiled at me "I'm proud of you. Like really proud of you" he pecked my lips a few more times

"Yea. But about that" I chuckled

"What" he asked laying across the bed rubbing my feet

"It's in Englewood" I scratched my hair

"Nah, you not doing it." He shook his head grabbing the remote

"Bae they paying 1 million + for this building I want to do this" I whined

"Nah, I'll give you the 1 mill you don't need to be over there. It's dangerous asf and you know them niggas over there gone try to start some" he shook his head

"Stop" he stood up once his phone dinged.

"Mmcht I don't want yo money I want my own" I shook my head

"First off it our money. Once we got married everything that is mines is yours. And secondly! If- actually WHEN I give you this money it will be yours" he said

"Kartier no. I'm doing the job end of discussion" I shrugged emailing the people back telling them I except the job offer

"NO. I said No, your not doing the job if you press send watch what tf gone happen" he took my computer I guess deleting it.

"Kartier what the fuck" I pushed him

"Stfu" he closes the computer walking away.

"I'm doing nat fucking job fuck he thought" I mumbled looking in my trash for the email.

My phone dinging and I say it was a payment of 1.7 million dollars put into my bank account.

I shook my head.

"I'll just give it back" I mumbled emailing the people I wanted the job. They soon responded with a how soon can you get started. I guess they wanted to rush the project.

I responded with today if you'd like. They said yes and I smiled so hard.

I started getting dressed.

Once I was all done I got my things and walked down the stairs seeing Kartier cooking.

"Whatchu making" I asked

"Burritos" he said hugging me "I'm sorry, I just don't want none to happen to you, them niggas over there reckless and don't give a fuck about what they do as long as it goes there way" he made me look up at him

"I know baby" I said standing on my tippy toes making him bend down and kiss me.

"Ok I'll be back" I said

"Where you goimg" he asked

"Kasiyah and me are having a girls day I told you that" I rolled my eyes hoping he'd believe me

"I thought y'all did that like 3 day ago"

"We did we had so much fun we doing it again just simple stuff like lunch, dinner, and shopping you know" I said

"Oh ok call me when y'all make it to where y'all going and when you make it to her" he said

I nodded and walked out.

Getting In my car I put the address to the building in to the building and pulling off. I text Siyah telling her if Kartier calls tell him I'm with her. She thought I was cheating so I had to shut that down rq.

Finally pulling up to the place, I walked to the door.

"Hi,are you Mrs. Dezire Dalito" he asked making me mentally scrunch up my face.

"Yes." I smiled

I never told them I was married. I told them my maiden name...

"Do you have your phone on you" he asked

"Oh shoot I left it in the car" I faked looked through my purse. "Lemme go get it" I smiled

"Uh sure. I'll be right here" he said

"Ok. Don't leave" I fake chuckled

Finna drive off on his bitch ass.

He gave a fake chuckle as I calmly walked to my car. Getting in and locked the doors speeding off.

I picked up my phone and dialed Kartier number.

"Yes my love" he answered

"Kartier don't be mad. Ok" I said

"What you do" he asked

"I- I went to the place.. in Englewood.." I said parking in a public place.. where lots of people where.

"What! La'Dove you don't fucking listen! What the fuck happened" he asked

I got out the car checking it just in case somebody came in here when I left out.

"I went to the place and I got out.. the man was waiting on me at the door so I walked to him and he said 'are you Mrs. Dezire Dalito I never told them I was married I always use my Maiden name " I said checking my trunk and when I closed it... it had a small X with a line threw it.

I instantly got scared. Getting back in my car I constantly checked my mirrors

"DEZIRE! Do you hear me" he yelled

"Yes , I'm sorry. I was checking my car and saw one of those X's with a line on them" I said

"What? Man. Omg where is you at" I heard keys jingle.

"I- ummm.." I looked around for a street name.

"Come on be quick with it." He said said

"I'm on Davine and Cicero.." I said

"Ite drive in only public places, im finna get some people out there or see if some people close" he said

"Ok" I nodded

"You by a highway" he asked

"Yes.." I nodded

"Ok.. a black car all tints gone come threw there.. ima have him do a couple of signs just so you know it's my people ok" he said

"Yea." I said and soon seen the car he described

"Ok he gone honk" he said

The car honked 3 times..

"How many times it honked mama" he asked

"3" I said

"Ok ima have him put his hand out the window ok?"

"Ok"

The window rolled down and an arm appeared and he threw up the peace sign then dropped some gang that I seen Kartier doing.

"What he do" he asked

"He held up the peace sign and dropped that sign you always be doing" he said

"Ok that's him. Follow him and keep me on the phone" he said

"Ok.." I nodded

"I love you" he said

"I love y-"
