Kali's pov

I've gotten used to waking up very early every morning that most of the time I didn't need an alarm, I sat in the kitchen after I finish breakfast and stared at the scar on my palm. It was still there and very visible.

"Morning" I heard someone say, I looked up and the short haired girl walked in the kitchen. She avoided looking at me and went to sit on a chair, she had an oversized shirt that reached mid thighs and she still had bed hair.

A maid walked in and asked what she wanted for breakfast, I wasn't going to leave since she's here. This is my place and I can be wherever I want, if she feels uncomfortable with my presence she can fuck off.

"Eh nice place you got here" she said trying to fix the awkward tension, I was still rubbing the scar on my palm so I just nodded my head.

"Kali!" I heard Sarah yell catching me by surprise, I looked at Avah and she had the same worried look so we both ran to Sarah and found her on the bathroom floor.

"What happened?" I asked squatting next to her, she was holding her foot with a painful look on her face.

"I tried to get out of the tub and I slipped, I'm sorry for bothering you Kali. Kris isn't here and he said if I need anything I should call for you, I'm really sorry" she said in a sad voice while her eyes started to water. The poor thing was really apologizing for getting hurt, I sighed and took off my shirt and put it over her head to cover her naked body and I was left with a black sports bra.

"It's okay honey, let me see that" I said softly trying not to scare her, I grabbed her foot and examined it, it was already starting to swell with bruises starting to form on the sides.

"It seems that you have a foot contusion, you need to rest and ice it for a while." I told her, she looked heartbroken I mean I get it she came here to have fun and now she can't even move around freely.

"Can I pick you up?" I asked her, she nodded her head slowly so I went and picked her up bridal style. When I turned around Avah was staring at me in surprise, what was she staring at?

"Out of my way" I said making her blink a few times and step out of the way. I laid Sarah on the bed and called the maids so they can bring an ice pack to the room. A few minutes later, Kris barged in the room and a maid followed behind him with an ice pack in her hand.

"What happened?!" He said out of breath, he was sweating and his face was red. He walked closer to Sarah and held her hand with a worried look. I explained what has happened to his girlfriend and he nodded.

"She's gonna be fine, but she has to rest for while. She has to ice her foot 15min every three hours." Kris nodded putting the ice pack on Sarah's injured foot,

"I'll go now, and Sarah you should rest for the day" the girl smiled at me thankfully, Avah who I forgot was still in the room and still staring at me, which is very creepy had finally woken up from her day dream and went next to her friend to check on her.

First day and someone is already hurt, I hope this doesn't happen again. I don't want my alone time to be disturbed, even if it's Kris or Sarah. I went to my balcony and lit a cigarette and enjoyed the view.

While I sat enjoying my coffee and a book, I watched as Kris and his friends ran to the beach. He was giving Sarah a piggy back ride so she won't be left out, that's very sweet of him. The last people to arrive to the beach were the assholes, Brandon was throwing his hands in the air as if he was yelling at her while she had her arms crossed and walking a few steps a head of him. He grabbed her arm and spun her around harshly, he pulled her closer to him and said something in her ear. I wonder what's going on with them, not that I care but out of curiosity. I averted my attention from them and went back to reading my book.

Later that night, I went downstairs for dinner and I found everyone sitting around the bonfire.  Kris had Sarah wrapped in his arms. Daniel and Tony were sitting next to each other but Avah and her boyfriend weren't there.

"Kali!" I heard Kris yell just as I passed by the sliding door. I took a few steps backwards to see what he wanted.

"Come sit with us" he offered, I thought about it for a second and opened the door to go sit next to them. Since the assholes aren't here, I might as well just sit and warm up.

"How's your foot doing?" I asked Sarah, she smiled and showed it to me. It was less swollen but it was still bruised.

"It hurts less, thank you for coming to my rescue" she chuckled, I smiled and patted her head in a caring way. That was my way to show that I'm glad she's okay, since I hate being touched or hugged.

A few minutes later, the door slide one and Avah walked out to sit next to us. I felt very uncomfortable with her presence but I didn't say anything, she was sniffling and wiping her face like she's just got done crying.

"So Kali, Kris told us you're a workaholic." Daniel said with a chuckle,

"Work is my safe space" I replied shortly, work was the only thing I'm good at apart from being in a bad mood the whole time.

"You know they say that people who drown themselves with work have a traumatic past." Tony butted in, the mood quickly changed into an awkward tension since I didn't find the joke funny. I was looking at Avah waiting for her to say something, she has caused me the trauma of my life. But I don't think she'd want to ruin her 'good' personality in front of her friends.

"I- I didn't know it was a sensitive subject" he apologized, again, I didn't say anything so everyone was starting to suffocate.

Daniel grabbed Tony's hand and pulled him inside and then Kris picked up his girl and left as well leaving me with her all alone. I pulled a cigarette out to help with my nerves, I looked up at her and she was playing with her fingers.

"Here" I said handing her the cigarette, she looked at me and then at it. She grabbed my hand that held the cigarette and pulled it to her lips. I stared at her in surprise, her plump lips wrapped around it and inhaled in. She let go of my hand and blew the smoke out while looking at the sky.

"Thanks" she whispered, I didn't reply I just looked at my hand where she had hers in confusion. What the fuck just happened? Why did she do that? Why didn't she just take it like any normal person would? I finished smoking and stood up to go back inside.

"Kali?" I heard her say, I remembered the last time she's called my name. Her and her friends poured water on me and pulled my pants down and filmed it for everyone in school to see.

"I'm sorry"
