I made him sit on the edge of the bed and quickly bring the first aid box, and put that in front of him.

He look up at me with twinkling eyes..

I sit down next to him.

I sigh. OK Sanyukta. You both need to talk. And a talk which is very very serious...

I took his warm hand in my cold palms. And  with the help of a cotton I put the antiseptic on his wounds.. I also blow on it so I won't hurt much.

I didn't look up. Not even once...

"So.... Why you never tell me that...?" I initiated

"Tell you what.?" He asked smiling in his own world any  playing dumb and so innocent that he don't know what I'm talking about.

I put the cotton down and took the bandage and began to roll it around his palm.

"About my dad... The deal?.." I asked not looking up.

There was  long pause when I sigh deeply...

"I just thought that you should be safe out of all this shit... And as the matter of giving money to your father...." He whispers the last part and went in some deep thoughts.

I still not dare to look up yet I don't know what he is talking about.

I just know that his choices are me and his company, his hard work, his abilities.

And soon the reality dawn upon me.

How can I be so selfish.?

How?

How can I expect him to choose me, whom he know from few months over his company which took years for him to built up.

Instead of helping him to choose I'm creating more problems for him.

And within moments I have made my choice.

"My dad is a not a good person ..his needs his demands will never ending... If you agreed to him now he will use you even further... Don't let him use you...so...so I am, I mean, I should..." I chipped ...tears threatening to spill out. But I still didn't look up at him...

Its difficult. More than I think.

I switch the hand and began to cure his another hand...

"Why you don't want me to go away..?" I asked..

"I .... I just don't know.. you are my responsibility. As because you are my wife. Its my duty to take care of you or to handle you..at least this is what granny expect from me." He chipped..

I'm just a responsibility...

"What about Shreya.?" I asked..

"What about Shreya?" He asked back..

"You love Shreya?" I asked..straight..

'No.. Obviously no. Not. Never." He blabbers...

"What about the baby...?" I asked...

"Why are you asking so much questions...?" He whine.

" you are taking the responsibility of the baby too?.. " I asked again..

He think again, he rub the area between his eyes from his just bandaged hand.

"Yes." He chipped.

I stand up as the work is done...

"Okay.. So I have something to say..... Don't give any money to my father.. And..you can live happily with your new family..."  I finished still not making an eye contact..

I turn around to leave.

"Sanyukta" I didn't stop.

"Sanyukta" I didn't react.

"Sanyukta"

In next moments I was trapped in his arms. His eyes filled with anger...his hands firmly holding my shoulders.

"Did I ever said that I would let you go." He declare

" but wait...You want to go? " He asked not believing his own words.

"No. I don't want to go but you never left me any other option." I chipped the matter of fact.

"But I...I will find a way..." He chipped and if I'm not mistaken I saw tear in His eyes.

"But that's not quite possible and its will be good for both of us. So,  I have to go." I chipped and joined our forehead.

He remain still for sometime.. But then...

"Then go. Go away ..right now. Leave me alone..just go. Why are waiting, why you even cone back,.... Huh... Tell me? I think I know.. So that I will fall in love with you  right...but I don't want that... So....... You can go right away if you want to go." He chipped walking away from me. Eyes emotionless.. Like he don't want to look at me.

"Ran...dhirr" I utter in shock.. My ears not believing what I hear. My knees lost their strength. They can buckle up any moment.

"Yes you hear me right.. You have to go in the end so why not now.. Go. You are free." He chipped again.

I just stand there like a dumb.

"Yes you are right. All problems are just because of you. Once you will go. I will be so relieved. So just go." He chipped turning away like seeing my face is hurting his eyes...

I didn't said anything. I just turn around and went away..

So this is how the last chance ended. As like all my hopes.
