- april -

It was difficult to remain normal and calm. Last time I was there, I experienced the nightmare of my life that haunts me till date. After have a day like today, I couldn't take in anymore. But then.. 'No April. You can do it!' I kept telling myself. I had to!

"So, Rami! What will we find there you think? I mean, we don't even know the place properly! You couldn't find anything there in all these years!" Jake broke my chanting.

"You never know. You kids didn't give up when I threatened you. You also didn't give up when one of you went to jail. You didn't give up when you found out that I was behind all this. That's not how I wanted you to know. And moreover, you didn't give up even when you were shot! Don't you think after all that you should give yourself some credit? I have this feeling you will finish the unfinished story of Infinity." Swaroop Uncle hardly spoke. But, when he did, it only bought a smile to our faces.

"Hopefully!" We said.

This time, we didn't have to walk through the forest. Rami drove straight inside the gates that were opened by Swaroop Uncle.

It was there. The police yellow-black striped threads saying, 'Crime Area', 'Restricted Area. Do Not Enter', which were half gone with the rain and half worn out, the various tyre skid marks that were there due to a lot of media vans arriving in the past weeks, now, all dried up. Everything last only for some time, might even be missing of Three Whole People! No one cares once they're done with their share of the news and publicity.

Looking at all these, I just went back to that night. Gosh! The place where I missed the Shadow guy and sat crying and later fainted also was right there! I sank into my seat. This was harder than I expected. Now knowing the Shadow Guy. I didn't want to hate Rami, but, he did take my sleep for one week straight.

It was like my squad understood. Other than Rami and Uncle, no one else moved an inch.

"Hey! We got your back this time. No one's going missing, okay?" Nick leaned over my side and demanded for a fist bump. I gave one. "That's my girl! Now come one, I want to see KRI see us in the broad afternoon sunlight." We went out. Nick was near me, constantly speaking to KRI like it was some person who he has come back to haunt. He is funny. August was laughing and joing Nick too. It was nice to see people making me laugh even at this situation!

Rami signaled us to get in through the same window we used to go in through before. "There's no other proper way in?" Nick asked.

"There is. That's a long way. Since you've paved a shortcut, let's just use it, eh?" Rami got in first.

It was so bright, the place. Seeing it in broad daylight was so much less scarier and even more mesmerizing than at the night. I remembered the first time we were here. This was a palace back in it's time!

God! The cut off ropes of the three were still there. A bone of mine suddenly tripped I guess, I fell on the ground. "I'm okay. I just need a little time." I stopped Avi who came to my rescue.

"April?" Niha gave me a hand. I couldn't refuse. I got up and she held my hand. "We won't let this make us weak, right?" I nodded.

"This is the place where they all went missing? Gosh! This is beautiful!" August was the one in Awe this time. He was startled to even see the window we came in from. He said this was Art! We agreed. "Obviosuly it is, until three of your friends go missing inside it's walls!" added Niha.

"Okay. So, what do we do now?" Nick spoke once we all explained everything to August.

"The rooms that are locked are the ones that are completely empty. So, Infinity can never get anything out of there. What say you check the first floor, while we check the ground floor for anything that might have possibly been the source of Infinity's strength!"

"I am in the ground floor team!" I said. I can't go up there again. I had enough for the day!

"Okay. We'll go to the first floor, you stay here. Are you sure you'll be okay, Ni?" said Nick, taking the boys with him.

"I've got my support and April and Rami and Uncle. I guess I'll be fine." she said, swaying her new crunches that we bought on our way here. Rami made a quick stop. He had ordered them previous night itself for Niha.

"Don't do anything stupid!" Nick said and they headed upstairs.

"Can it be possible that sunlight is it's source?" I asked Rami.

"No! I'm positive. Direct sunlight is actually a weakness of Infinity! That's why Infinity is weak in the morning, because of Sunlight. There is so much of exposure to Sunlight here, yet that thing survived! Son of a.." He said.

"Language!" Swaroop Uncle swayed at him. "Sorry!"

And then, we scattered and started seeing anything that might have possibly given the energy.

"What about electricity? Doc had told us the blast and the way Infinity took electricity as it's medium!" Niha was screaming from the other side of wherever she went.

"There's no power supply to this building girl! It is only there for a room in that building and that too it's on generator. If more power is consumed, it blasts off and till date, it hasn't. So, infinity isn't feeding on anything related to electric energy!"

We continued our search for almost half an hour more.

"Guys! Guys! Can you come up here?" Jake was screaming from the stairs. We all ran up. I decided to take the opposite corridor of that Goddamn room they went missing in!

"What is it?" Rami rushed in to where Avi and Nick were standing.

"That stone.. What about it?" said Nick pointing at a stone that was located right in the middle of the hexagonal corridor.  Weird we didn't see it before. Actually, we didn't even come to this part of the first floor, after we found the painting there!

"Hey! I noticed that stone from bottom too, but I just thought it might randomly be a decor!" said Niha.

"Gosh! I never though about that! That was put there as a donation by one of the Team's Doctor's brother after they successfully finished 50% of Infinity works. We all loved it as it had a beautiful color and also the chandelier that was there before was too bright and noisy with it's glass decor-hangers moving with every inch of wind. We were happy to replace it!"

The stone was placed comfortably on the center of the hexagon on a rectangular metal ring that joined the diagonals. It had one handle of support from every corner. It was sharply cut, baby pink and shining due to the sunlight directly falling on it from the glassed roof.  It did look rare and it was huge!

"Weirdest part is, how does it still look so new? I mean, it's almost 7 years old!" Avi claimed! Actually, yeah. It looked all polished. It had a sharp pointy end facing the ground floor, while it was all messed up at the top.

"Which stone is it?"

"No idea. We thought it as a random, vision pleasing one!" Rami never seemed more confused!

"Guys. Do you notice?" Nick went forward. "See, this stone scatters the light it absorbs in all possible directions. Places even the actual sunlight doesn't go! And see carefully, the light even goes downstairs as well as upstairs! Click anything?"

"This is the source of energy, you mean?" How was that possible? Infinity hates Sunlight!

"We need to take that stone down!" Rami said. "Nick might be right, here! Infinity is allergic to sunlight, but this stone doesn't reflect the direct sunlight, does it? And also, the scattered light reaches almost everywhere Infinity is present. So.."

"I can't believe I was the one to find this! You're welcome guys!" Jake said.

"Thanks and whatever. So, our search ends here?" asked Avi.

"I guess yeah, for now. I mean, this was the only possible relevant solution we found in almost the past half hour. Nothing else seems to fit in."

"I called my men. They'll be here soon. They are going to take that stone down." said Swaroop Uncle, appearing from one of the rooms. When did he even dissapear?

"Thank you Chowta. But, are you sure we won't be caught? I mean, police stuffs are still put up here!" said Rami. "No! I'll see to it." Uncle assured.

"So, what now?"

"Now, let's go for the remaining theories, eh?" asked Rami. We all nodded.

"Okay, come on. I'll show you my second home now!"
