Watching Lanie lick that ice cream cone is something I can't stop watching. She's not my normal type of girl but she is very pretty.

I can tell she's trying to hide something and even though the makeup and hat is working I can tell she has a big bruise on her face but I'm not going to ask her what happened.

We finished our ice cream cones and I walk over and kiss ma on her face and we head out to the truck.

"I have my own truck but since we live so close I just walk," I said.

"I was wondering if you did have a vehicle as well," I said.

"So Lanie where did you come from since you have been away for a while?" I ask.

"I was living in California and went to college there for clothing design. I worked with a nice lady for a while but I wanted to come home." She said.

"I won't push but I know there is more to the story but you don't know me and I understand if you don't want to talk about it," I said as we pulled up at the shop.

"Thanks, Jax! Thanks for everything and the ice cream and for not pressuring me to talk about something I don't want to right now." She said.

"Do you need me to carry all this in or are you going to wait to take it to Morgan's?" I ask.

"Just the fabric for the shirts. I will work on that in Dad's office." She said.

I carried the fabric in and gave Trace his keys back while Lanie was talking to her dad.

I heard her laughing and her dad hugged her. I went over to my area and started setting up for the next tat.

When the guy walked in and over to my area he couldn't stop looking at Lanie. "Hey who is that chick?" He asked.

"One of the Kash's daughters," I said

"Oh, she looks familiar." He said.

I didn't answer him just starting prepping him for his tattoo. "How does it look?"

"I love it. I'm a security officer and I want these handcuffs." He smirked.

Something about him I didn't like but I'll do the tattoo justice.

I watched Lanie walk to the back and caught the eyes of Morgan and she smirked at me.

"Is the hot tatted-up girl Kash's other daughter?" The guy asked.

"Yeah and that guy right there is her fiancée and he will kick your ass if you look at her wrong." I laughed.

"Yeah I get it they are taken or don't want to date. The other one is too skinny for me." He shrugged.

"That's not nice and if you don't like it don't look it's that simple. It's not always about how a girl looks. What about what's on the inside?" I ask.

"Are you getting mushy on me?" It's all about what's between their legs for me." He laughed.

I didn't find that funny in the least... "Yeah, that's not how I look at beautiful women. You sound like a douche."

"Yeah, I guess I am to an extent." He smirked just as I finished up.

"Go take a look," I said taking my gloves off.

"I love it man thanks! Here is an extra tip for having to listen to my mouth." He smiled and shook my hand before he headed out.

I cleaned up my area and really had to take a piss. I headed to the back and when I got to the door I knocked.

"Come in!" Lanie said.

"Hey sorry I need to use the bathroom," I said.

"You don't have to knock Jax. I'm just borrowing Dad's office." She smiled.

Once out of the bathroom I saw her cutting and tacking and placing pins in different places... "That looks difficult.

"It's not if you know what you are doing but I really could use a thimble for my poor finger." She said.

"What in the hell is a thimble?" I laugh.

"Oh, it's a metal piece that goes over your thumb or finger to help with the needles." She said.

"Learned something new." I smiled.

"How was the tattoo?" She asked.

"He was a complete douche bag. I'm glad it's over. He was degrading women and I can't stand that. What happened to loving someone for what's on the inside?" I asked.

She looked at me and blinked like she had seen a monster. "Wow, it's been a long time since I've heard anyone say that much less think it."

"Yeah, he rubbed me the wrong way. I mean I understand guys like Ethan and how they act or being picky but sometimes I think people are too picky or pushy." I said.

"That's deep Jax!" She smiled.

"Yeah yeah! Well, I better get upfront and get ready for my next tattoo." I said.

"Ok cya later." She smiled.

As I went back up front Morgan smirked at me again and I'm not sure what's going on with her. I walked over to where she is. "What's up with you and those smirks?"

"You and my sister." She said.

"What about your sister?" I asked confused.

"You and her." She said.

"Oh Morgan I was just helping her and when I went to the bathroom we talked about what she was doing with those shirts," I said.

"Is that all?" She asked.

"Yeah, that's all." I shrugged going back over to my area to prepare for the next person.

When the girl came in I internally rolled my eyes because she was half-dressed with her boobs hanging out and It did nothing for me.

If anything that turns me off. I motioned her over and she twisted so hard I think she needs fries with that shake.

"Hi! I'm so excited to get my tattoo." She said.

"Then let's get going. Where is it going?" I asked.

"Oh, a tramp stamp." She giggled.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes again.
