Today I am forty weeks and I'm completely miserable.

I am dressed and Jax took my picture and we are off to see the doctor.

We get put in the room and Dr. Cheryl walked in. "Hey, guys let's see where we are. We may just induce you today."

"Wow really?" I asked.

"Yeah, your little guy isn't wanting to come out." She said squirting gel on my stomach.

"Well, he's head down and ready to go. I'm going to send you on over to the hospital and get you started." She said standing up wiping the gel off of my very large tummy.

"Jax I don't have my baby bag or anything," I said tearing up.

"It's ok I'll get Jessa and Tony to do it since he has a key. Don't worry Lanie." Jax said.

We head out to the jeep and I am scared. I knew it was coming but not today.

I sent a group text to everyone to let them know I was being induced and that Jax would keep them updated on what was going on.

📱 Lanie bug let us know what room you go in so we can be with you.

📱 I will dad.

I lock my phone and close my eyes. I'm nervous but excited to meet Axel.

We get checked in and they take us to a room and have me put on a gown and they begin hooking me up to monitors.

As soon as we hear Axel's heartbeat we both smile.

"That's an amazing sound, Lanie." Jax smiled.

"That it is. Will you text my dad and tell him what room number we are in. I'm sure they can come by until active labor starts." I said.

"I will do whatever you want me to Lanie. I just don't want you to stress and try to get through this. I'm going to call my mom and tell her to in case they want to come down." He said.

"Ok and group text everyone else to let them know. Jessa may want to be here." I said rubbing my belly.

A little while later doctor Cheryl came in and gave me meds in my IV to start labor but so far I still feel good.

Mom and dad walked in and dad rushed over to my side. "Are you ok Lanie bug?"

"So far dad but she put meds in my IV to start labor so it shouldn't belong," I said.

"We will stay and wait until you kick us out and then we will go out and wait in the waiting room." He said.

"Thanks, dad! I love you!" I said squeezing his hand.

Mom walked over. "We don't want to stress you out honey but if you need me in the room I would be glad to be."

"Thanks, mom I appreciate that." I smile at her just as Dee and Anthony walk in with Tony and Jessa.

"We couldn't stay away." Jessa laughed.

"I'm glad you guys came before it starts getting bad," I said.

"Here is your baby bag." Tony said holding it up.

Doctor Cheryl came back in and she looked around. "Wow, you are a beautiful bunch of people."

I couldn't help but laugh. "Dr. Cheryl if you want a tattoo just go to my dad's shop after you deliver the baby of course."

"Oh, I would have never guessed." She said looking at dad.

"That's THE Kash Ryan." I laugh.

"No joke really? I have heard a lot about your tattoo shop." She said.

"My dad and mom run it along with my sister and her husband and my husband," I said just as Morgan and Trace walked in.

"That must be your sister. You look alike." Dr. Cheryl said.

"But we are nothing alike. I'm the sweet innocent one compared to Morgan." I laughed.

"Hey now! I'm not that bad." Morgan said walking over to the bed.

A little while later the contractions started to get strong and everyone cleared out but mom and dad I wanted them to stay for now.

Jax was so sweet and he fed me ice chips and kept a wet rag on my forehead but the pain was unreal. I was more than ready for Axel to make an appearance.

"Lanie bug is there anything I can do for you?" Dad asked.

"No dad but thanks. This kid is tearing my insides out or so it feels." I said.

Dr. Cheryl walks back in to check me and mom and dad step out of the room.

"Alright, this kid is getting there. You are four centimeters we have a while to go so hang in there." She said patting my leg.

Over the next five hours, I was in so much pain that I couldn't take it any longer and so they came in and checked me and I had made it to seven centimeters and I received my epidural.

I took a small nap while mom and dad went to get them some food and bring something back for Jax. I can't eat anything but I don't mind if they do.

They eat and talked while I tried to rest because I knew this pushing business wasn't going to be easy. I've watched videos and mom told me about mine and Morgan's birth.

I can't wait to hold Axel in my arms. I'm so excited to see his cute little face and see Jax hold him for the first time.

A lot of first is coming our way very soon. I'm just glad I don't feel the contractions any longer that was horrible.

Dr. Cheryl came back in to check me and I was finally at nine centimeters. "You are almost there Lanie." She said.

I sit up and eat more of my ice chips and looked at my text messages.

📱 DJ: Can't wait to meet your son! Best wishes Lanie!

📱 Jessa: I know I saw you already but I want pics asap and I hope you have a smooth delivery.

📱 Hoss: Hang in there Lanie Bug!

📱 Aunt Ivy: Congrats momma! I can't wait to meet your son. 💜

📱 Dom: You can do it Lanie bug! Congrats to you both! 👶🏼

I smile reading my messages. "What has you smiling babe?" Jax asked.

"Just well wishes." I smile at him.
