A couple of weeks have passed and Lanie is now thirty-two weeks.

I love taking pictures of her belly that we can look back on.

She is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on.

"Are we done, Jax?" She laughed.

"Yes, I got the picture that I wanted. You look beautiful Lanie." I smiled at her.

She untied the ribbon and sit down on the bed. "I feel like a beached whale."

"Baby don't be like that. You look beautiful and we need to get dressed your parents wanted us over for lunch." I said

"I know I'm ready I just need to put on some lip gloss and I'm ready to go." She said.

I helped her down to the jeep and we headed over to her parent's house. What Lanie doesn't know is that today is her baby shower and she has absolutely no idea.

We pull up and I send a quick text to Kash and then I help her up the sidewalk to her parent's front door.

When I open the front door and help Lanie inside everyone yells surprise and she about jumped out of her skin.

"Holy shit! You guys scared the crap out of me." She laughed.

Navy walked over. "We wanted to surprise you with a baby shower honey."

"Oh, mom that is so sweet. Wait Jax did you know?" She smiled at me.

"Guilty!" I smirk.

She lightly smacks my belly and then walks around to talk to everyone and thank them before sitting down.

I looked over and saw a Remi cake and I was excited about that. I walked over to where Trace and Kash were standing.

"How's she doing?" Kash asked.

"She's uncomfortable and her feet are staying swelled but she was surprised," I said.

"I'm going to say sorry now but we bought a ton of shit." Kash laughed.

"Really Kash? Well, thank you I'm sure we need all of it." I chuckled.

Lanie motioned me over to where she was and once I sit down she was ready to open her gifts and it was like it was never-ending.

I about died when Lanie held up a crochet frog outfit that her grandma made. All I could think in my head was leapfrog.

Lanie looked over at me and smirked and I couldn't help but laugh.

An hour later we had finished with the gifts and Navy brought us both a plate of ice cream, chips, and a piece of cake.

"Oh god, it's Remi cake." She smiled.

"I saw that as soon as I walked in and couldn't wait to taste it." I smiled.

"One day we need to ride to Oak Island and go to her shop," Lanie said.

"Sounds good. Maybe someplace we can take the baby." I said.

"I almost said his name a few times." She said.

"I have to. It's hard keeping this secret." I said leaning over to kiss her.

The girls played a few games about how big her stomach is and they all laughed and wasted toilet paper basically.

I sit with Trace and watched them as Ethan walked over. "Are you ready to be a dad?"

"Oh man, Ethan I am more than ready to be a dad. I'm counting down the days until he's here." I said.

"Well, we personally think you are going to be a great dad and we bought you a bottle of Jack Daniels in case you need a sip here or there." He laughed handing it over.

"Thanks this may come in handy." I laugh.

Once the party was over Trace helped me to load all the stuff in the back of his truck and we took it back to the house and then went back for Lanie.

She was asleep laying on her parent's couch by the time I got back.

"She's worn out Jax." Navy smiled.

"She's been staying that way. I think she's ready for him to get here." I said.

"I think we all are. I'm so excited as you can tell from all the gifts but I must say I didn't pick most of them out. Kash did." She laughed.

"I figured that much. You both are going to be awesome grandparents." I smiled.

"So what does your mom want to be called?" She asked.

"I think Gram and Paw," I said.

"Well, I don't feel Iike a grandma so I think I would like to be called Mimi if that's ok and I'm not sure about Kash." She said.

"It doesn't matter to me Navy he can call you whatever you want," I said as Kash walked up.

"Kash, what do you want the baby to call you?" Navy asked him.

"Pop-pop I think." He said.

"Are you going to give us any hints about his name? It's killing us." Navy laughed.

"I cant Lanie will kill me. We have almost slipped up a few times though." I laugh just as she walks over to the table.

"Are they trying to get you to tell them the name of the baby?" She giggled.

"Of course," I said pulling her down on my lap and kissed her shoulder.

"Can I have more cake mom?" The baby wants it." She laughed.

"Of course you can sweetheart. I'll get it for you. Do the rest of you want more cake too?" Navy asked.

"Hell yeah!" Kash laughed.

"I'll take more as well Navy. Do you need some help?" I asked.

"No Jax I got it but thank you for asking." She smiled.

We sit around the table and eat more cake and laugh until after 9 pm.

"Thanks for the baby shower and all the gifts guys. I can't wait to sit and go through each item." Lanie said.

"Now we can come and help you put it all away Lanie Bug," Kash said.

"I'll keep that in mind dad when we go to put it all away." She said.

"We are going to head home but we appreciate all you guys have done today," I said.

"You both are more than welcome. Be careful going home." Kash said kissing Lanie on the cheek.

"Night guys!" I said helping Lanie to the jeep.
