I went to the back and dad told me how he wants the shirts designed but for me to add my touches for it.

That he wants the girls to have more girly shirts. I told him I can do what he wants but I'll also be working on Morgan's dress.

"Oh, that's wonderful Lanie. We are so glad you are back home." He smiled.

"Me too. I need a job and a car and my own place." I sighed.

"One thing at a time but maybe we can work something out that you make shirts with our logos on them and we can sell them in here. Think about it ok?"

"Thanks, dad! I need to go to a fabric store. I can walk I guess." I said.

"Hell no, you won't want. I'm sure your mom will let you use her vehicle." He said handing me his credit card.

We walk back up front and mom was already gone. "Well, shit can you go when she gets back?" He asked.

"Sure dad that's fine." I said sitting in mom's seat."

"What's going on?" Morgan asked.

"I need to go look at material and was going to ask mom to borrow her car but she's gone." I laugh.

"You can borrow my truck." Trace said.

"Yeah take it, Lanie he doesn't care," Morgan said.

"Umm no, I better not. I haven't driven in a while and that truck is big." I said.

"I don't have any tattoos schedule for two hours I could drive you," Jax said.

"Yeah, that would be great," Dad said before I could answer.

"If you're sure," I said.

I was hoping he would say no. I don't know this guy and I'm scared after what Reggie has done to me but he is a part of the shop family so I'm hoping he's ok.

I had put makeup on and tried to hide my bruising on my face with a hat and it must be working because no one has said anything.

Jax gets the keys from Trace and walks over to where I am. "Are you ready Lanie?"

"Sure," I said putting my bag strap over my head and follow him out the door.

He opens my door and then I watch as he walks around to the driver's side and gets in.

"So where is this fabric store? Because I'm sure I haven't been there before." He laughs.

"Umm just right up the road over on the right. Dad wouldn't let me walk." I said.

"It's no problem I don't mind. I don't have any tattoos until later." He shrugged.

We pull up and get out and go inside and the woman smiled and asked if she could help. I explained the fabrics I was looking for and I needed her best sewing machine.

"Shirt fabrics are over here and dress fabrics are on the opposite side of this aisle." She said.

"Thank you!" I said.

"So what are you looking for?" Jax asked.

"This kind of material just need different colors. I don't think you guys want to wear pink." I laugh.

"I'll wear any color that you make." He smiled.

I picked out all different kinds of fabric and Jax took it to the counter while I went around the next aisle to look at wedding fabric.

The lady walked back over with Jax. "So when's the wedding day?" She asked.

"Oh we aren't getting married it's for my sister." I smile.

"Yeah, she turned me down a few times." Jax laughs and winks at me.

I couldn't help but smile and then laughed it off. Jax wasn't even my type of guy. I don't go for the pretty boy tattoo guys even though he's cute.

It took a while to get all I needed and the sewing machine but Jax never complained and he put it all in the truck.

"We still have some time how about we go grab an ice cream?" He asked.

"This early in the morning Jax?" I ask.

"Yeah, you look like you need one." He smiled.

"Sure I could eat one." I smiled.

When we pulled up I recognized the place right away. "I used to come here with friends when I was a kid. The owners were always so nice." I said.

"Those owners are my parents. They have owned this shop for forty years." He smiled.

"Then why don't I remember you, Jax?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. But let's go get ice cream! My treat.

We walked in and I saw two older people behind the counter and a guy as well that looked like Jax."

"Hey, guys!" Jax said walking up to the counter.

"Hey, son!" His dad smiled.

"This is Lanie Ryan. My boss Kash's daughter. She's a clothing designer and I borrowed someone's truck and took her to get fabric and thought a ice cream would be nice." He said.

"Nice to meet you all." I smiled.

Lanie this is my Dad Anthony, my mom Dee and my brother Tony." Jax said.

"Nice to meet you, honey! What flavor would you like?" Dee said.

"Umm, which do you prefer?" I ask.

"Mint chocolate chip." She smiled.

"That's the one I will take then," I said.

"I will take that as well ma," Jax said.

We went over and sit down and it wasn't long until Tony walked them over.

"I don't remember seeing you the other night when I came to Trace and Morgan's house." He said.

"That's because I only arrived last night," I said.

"Oh, gotcha well it's nice to meet you. Morgan is a cool chick." He smiled.

"Yeah, she's the wild sister." I laugh.

"Do you have any tattoos like her?" He asked.

"Tony that's a little personal," Jax said.

"No, it's fine Jax. Nope, I don't have any. Never cared for them and I'm not sure if I want any." I said.

"That's funny since your dad owns a tattoo shop." Tony laughed before walking away.

"Yeah I know it sounds weird but who knows I could always change my mind." I smiled.

"Yeah, you could. They are addicting." Jax smiled.
