We were so excited that today is the day we see the baby doctor.

"Are you ready to go babe?"

"I'm ready. I was brushing out my hair." She said.

We head downstairs and out to the jeep which I drove because she was too nervous and nauseous.

When we pulled up I walked around and opened her door and grabbed her hand as we walked up the sidewalk to the building.

"Here goes nothing," I said kissing the side of her head as we walked in and she signed in.

We sit in the waiting room and I couldn't help but look around at all the pregnant bellies and I can't wait until Lanie looks like that.

"Mrs. Carver?" The nurse called.

We stood up and followed her to a room where she checked Lanie's temp and blood pressure. "So I know why you are here today but you think you are pregnant?" She asked.

"Yeah I've been getting sick of the mornings and I took a test that said pregnant," Lanie said.

"Well, we will get a urine sample from you. If you will follow me I'll show you where to go." She said.

Lanie hands me her purse and follows the nurse out. I look down at my phone and mom had texted me saying the freezer was on the frits again.

I'm just going to buy her another one. I can afford it and well that one needs to be thrown away. I look up a site that sells them to find the one I want to order while waiting on Lanie to come back.

When she finally walks back in and set down I had picked the one I was going to order.

I showed her my phone. "I'm going to order this for my parents. The freezer is messed up again." I said.

"I don't mind, Jax. We have to preserve the ice cream." She giggled.

I had just got it ordered when the doctor walked in. "Hi, folks! I'm Dr. Cheryl how are you?"

"We are good! Nice to meet you and thanks for seeing us so soon." Lanie said.

"Your urine test came back positive so you most definitely are pregnant. Let's have a look and see just how far along you are." She smiled.

Lanie laid down on the bed and the doctor squirted gel on her belly to have a look.

I have no idea what we are looking at but I am excited about it.

"Ok right here is the sac and that right there is your baby.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I look over at Lanie and she has tears in her eyes.

"You are about eight weeks and everything looks good right now. We will make an appointment for you to come back in a few weeks and we will check again. I will prescribe you some prenatal meds along with nausea meds Lanie." She said.

"Thank you so much Dr. Cheryl that will help a lot." Lanie laughed.

"Here are some pictures for you to keep." She said handing them over.

"So when is it safe to tell our family?" I ask.

"Usually people wait until around twelve weeks but it's really just whenever you want. I know it's hard to keep that secret to yourself." She laughed standing up handing Lanie a few prescriptions.

"Make your appointment for a couple of weeks and hand this to the front." She smiled.

"Thank you again, Dr. Cheryl," Lanie said.

"Your welcome! You guys have a good day!" She said walking out the door.

"Well, dad are you ready to go get these prescriptions filled?" Lanie asked.

"Yeah, let's go check out babe," I said helping her off of the bed.

We check out and head to the jeep. "So when do you want to tell everyone?" She asked.

"I'm ready when you are. I'm so excited and now that I see the baby in there I'm so excited." I smiled at her.

She leans over and puckers up her lips and I lean over and meet her halfway and kiss her.

"Maybe we should wait until our next appointment? I mean that's going to be hard. Maybe we should have a family dinner and just tell everyone then." She said.

"Let's play it by ear. Why don't you make you a shirt or something that says coming soon or something." I said.

"That's a good idea." She smiled over at me.

We got the meds filled and headed over to the ice cream shop so I could tell my parents about the freezer I bought them. They will through a fit but will be ok.

We walk in and I ask Lanie what ice cream she wants.

"Mint Chocolate chip today please." She said going over to our seat.

I kissed Ma on the side of the head and walked to the back to find dad. "Dad hey where are you?" I called out.

"In here with this damn freezer Jax." He said.

I walked in and found dad down on the ground trying to fix it.

"Here let me do that. I know you are going to be mad but I ordered you a new one and it will arrive tomorrow." I said.

"Jax you didn't have to do that." He said.

"I know dad but I wanted to and you won't have to worry about this anymore. Now get up and let me fix it." I said helping him up.

I got the freezer going and went out to get our ice cream. "Sorry, babe I had to work on that freezer. My dad was down on the ground trying to fix it." I said handing her the ice cream cone.

"It's ok Jax I figured that's where you went." She smiled over at me.

I winked at her and eat my ice cream when mom walked over. "Thank you, Jax your dad told me what you did."

"You're more than welcome Ma. We have to keep the ice cream froze and I was happy to do it." I smiled at her.
