The next evening we were in the kitchen and I was cooking. We decided to make cabbage rolls and I put them in the crockpot before work and now we just need to make the sides.

"The potatoes are done, baby," Jax said.

"Good I just need to make the green beans and pull the rolls out. Will you text Trace and tell them to walk up?" I ask.

"Sure I can do that." He said sitting down at the counter.

I got the rest of the food carried over to the table when Trace and Morgan showed up.

"Hey, guys come on in!" I smiled.

"Wow, it smells so good in here," Morgan said.

"Anything we can help with?" Trace asked.

"Nope, it's all ready to have a seat guys."

Jax helps me get drinks on the table with plates and we all sit down to eat.

"So what did you make?" Morgan asked.

"Cabbage rolls! "I didn't put cabbage around them in case you didn't like it," I said.

"Where did you learn to make this?" Trace asked.

"When I first moved to California my neighbor was a sweet old lady and she taught me so much," I said.

"Man this is delicious babe!" Jax said.

"Yeah, this is really good sis," Morgan said.

"I agree Lanie you have outdone yourself." Trace said.

"So Sunny is going to be working with you and Jessa?" Morgan asked.

"Yeah who knew she could sew. But we are all excited. I have a big wedding dress to make and eight bridesmaid dresses." I said.

"Wow, that's a good bit. But those shirts for Everlasting Ink have been selling fast." Morgan said.

For the rest of the meal we laughed and talked and had such a good time.  Morgan helped me clean up and I gave them some leftovers to take home.

Once they left we decided to go for our walk on the beach. It was around 8 pm when we finally made it to the beach.

"This is so calming for my soul." I sighed

"I look forward to this every evening with you," Jax said squeezing my hand.

"I just love being with you." I smile over at him and he leans in for a kiss.

"Dinner was amazing babe. You are such an amazing cook." He said.

"Thanks I learned so much from her until her daughter came took her back home with her," I said.

"Well, I cant wait to see what else you have in store for me cooking-wise." He smiled over at me.

We sit on the beach for a couple of hours just talking and laughing and enjoying the breeze coming off of the water.

By 10 pm we decided to head back home. We walked hand in hand back to the house and once the door was open he picked me up and carried me in the house and kicked the door shut.

His lips were on mine hot and fast. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist as he carries me over to the counter.

"I need you, Lanie." He said biting my lower lip.

"Then why are we still dressed?" I asked watching him strip down naked.

I throw my shirt and bra across the room and slip my pants and panties off and he pulls me to the edge of the counter.

"We are doing it right here." He said as he lined himself up and plunged into me.

I moan out and wrap my legs tighter around him as he thrust deeper into me.

I laid back on the counter and he slipped out and kneeled down and spread my legs and put his face between my legs and licked and sucked before he slipped back inside me.

"Oh shiiiit Jax!" I moan out as he moves in and out faster before we both come together.

"Holy fuck that was hot Lanie." He said wiping his forehead.

"Well, you started it, Jax." I giggle.

He helps me off the table and he picks up our clothes and we head upstairs to shower before bed.

"I need to go back down and wipe the counter off Jax." I laugh.

"I will go do it while you brush your teeth and all the stuff you do before bed." He said.

I laugh and watch him leave and I finish brushing my teeth and walk over to the bed and look at my phone and see a text from Officer Bryant.

I open the text and gasp.

📱 Lanie, I just wanted you to know that Reggie Sheldon was stabbed in prison and he is in critical condition in the hospital under guard. They aren't sure if he is going to make it.

📱 Wow! Thank you for telling me. I can't say I hope that he feels better.

📱 No, I didn't think so but I will keep you posted on what happens.

I cut the ringer off and lay my phone down and look up when Jax walks back into the room.

"So umm I just got a text from Officer Bryant Jax."

"What did he want?"

"Reggie was stabbed in prison and it's touch and go right now."

"Wow, can't say that I'm sorry." He said.

"That's exactly what I said to him. He's going to keep me posted." I said.

"Wow, he must of run his mouth to the wrong person in there." He said.

"I wouldn't doubt it a bit, Jax. I don't wish death or pain on anyone but that's one person I could care less what happens to him." I said.

"I don't blame you on that," Jax said getting in the bed.

We turn the tv on and watch a little bit of tv hugged up in each other's arms and drifted off to sleep.

I've never felt as safe in my life as I do in Jax's arms. He is my safe haven and the love of my life.
