Work couldn't of went any slower. I'm crushing on Lanie and it's like it just snuck up on me. She's not the type of girl that I usually go for.

I was finishing up a leg tattoo and then I'm done for the day. I can't wait to leave here and teach Lanie self-defense and maybe sneak in a few kisses.

She didn't seem to mind this morning at all. I'd like to do more than kiss her but I know Lanie is fragile and I'm not going to do anything she doesn't want to.

"Jax, did you hear me?" Trace said.

"Sorry no, I was concentrating. What's up?"

"I'm going to bbq this evening you coming down?" He asked.

"Sure after I give Lanie some self-defense lessons," I said.

"Oh really?" He smirks.

"That will be great Jax. She needs that after what she's been through." Morgan said.

I finished my tat and cleaned up my area waiting to go home and it wasn't long until they were cleaned up and ready to go as well.

Once at their house I walked into the office and Lanie smiled when she saw me. "Hey, are you almost done for today?"

"Yeah, I think we are arent we Jessa?" She asked.

"Oh yeah, I'm ready to go. Tony and I are going out to eat." She smiled.

"Go ahead and I'll clean up," Lanie said.

Jessa got up and grabbed her stuff and headed out the door.

"So how is the dress coming along?" I ask.

"It's slowly coming along. I have so many moving parts to it." She smiled.

I walked over and looked behind her shoulder at what she had done and I couldn't tell heads nor tales about it.

"I know it doesn't look like a dress just yet. Let me run to the bathroom and I'll be ready to go." She said.

I walked back to the kitchen and sit on a stool while Trace and Morgan were talking about the bbq.

"Jax, are you waiting on Lanie?" Morgan asked.

"Yeah, I'm going to show her some self-defense moves before the bbq," I said just as Lanie walked out with her hair up in a ponytail.

"You ready Jax?"

"Yup let's go so I can show you how to kick butt," I smirk.

We walk up the road and to the house. I unlocked the door and usher Lanie in.

"We can go to the basement that's where I have mats set up that we can use," I said.

"Oh ok good so I can kick your butt and slam you to the mat?" She smirked.

I couldn't help but laugh as I opened the basement door and cut the light on. "Alright follow me," I said.

Once in the basement, I pulled her into the center of the mat. "Now I want to show you a few moves so watch and then follow me," I said.

I did a few moves and showed her and then we did a few moves together and she shocked me when she flipped me over on the mat and she was on top of me.

"Wow, I didn't expect that," I said.

"You didn't expect it? Well neither did I, Jax." She giggled looking down at me.

I tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear and she smiled.

I couldn't help but stare at her lips and as I licked my own she leaned her face down to me and pressed her lips to mine.

I put my hand on the back of her neck and pulled her closer to me. Lanie on top of me does things to me that has been asleep for a while.

I let her take the lead and she opened her mouth to me and I couldn't resist but take possession of her mouth.

When she let out a small moan my dick was swelling against my jeans and I broke the kiss.

"Wow, that's some self-defense lesson." She smiled wiping her mouth getting off of me.

"If we don't slow down I will have you naked on this mat and I don't want to push you, Lanie."

"I appreciate that Jax. I feel awkward and I'm not sure what to do with myself." She sighed.

"I will go at your pace, Lanie. This has all caught me off guard about how much I like you." I said.

"I like you too Jax. I didn't think I would ever trust a guy again or want to be with someone but I trust you wholeheartedly." She smiled.

"I'm glad to hear that. Another kiss before we go to the bbq?" I ask.

She leaned over and grabbed my shirt and kissed me. "Thanks for the lesson I think I learned a lot."

I laughed... "Oh yeah you sure did learn a lot and so did I."

We walked up the steps and into the living room. "You really do have a nice place here Jax."

"Thanks, I like it a lot but I want one of those screened-in porches though." I laugh.

I walk over and grab her hand and squeeze it and kiss her forehead. "Come on we have a bbq to get to."

"Let's go I'm starving and there is no telling who all is coming." She said.

When we walked up the street there are cars everywhere and it looks like they are having a party or something.

I look over at Lanie and she laughs. "I told you there was no telling who was invited."

When we walk upon the porch I open the door and Lanie walks in and everyone yells surprise!

"What in the world?" Lanie asks.

"It's a party to celebrate that your back," Morgan said.

I look around and see faces I don't know but are smiling in okie direction.

An old man and woman approach Lanie and hug her and I have to fight back a laugh because I know it's the leapfrog couple.
