Valencia Carter

"What do you want?" I asked this woman for the tenth time.

"I want to know why you haven't called me." She hit her fist on the bar, grabbing the attention from the people around us.

"Listen Lilah-"

"It's Lailah." She snapped, gritting her teeth.

"Whatever it is. I told you what it was before we did anything. You ate my pussy and I returned the favor." It was a spur of the moment thing and I didn't mean to. Londyn isn't talking to me so it's her loss.

"But nobody has ever made me feel this way before." She placed her hand on top of mines.

I rolled my eyes as I pulled away from her, "Shake it off, you'll be alright. You buying a drink?"

"Lose my number." She turned around and pushed past the crowd of people to leave.

"Your head was trash anyways."

"You keep playing with these women they're going to slash your tires." Sebastian came up to the bar. "Hennessey on the rocks."

"I don't believe that's any of your business Sebastian."  I poured him a glass and handed it to him.

"What did you call me?"

"Sebastian. Isn't that your name?" I looked at him weirdly.

"Yes, but you call me every name in the book except my actual name." He downed the drink like it was nothing and held out the glass for another one.

"You okay?" I asked. He looked fine, but his eyes were telling me something different.

He chuckled, "Since when did you start caring?"

"I don't."

"Well I'm fine. Thank you for not caring."  He smiled, gluping down the second drink.

"You're welcome college boy."

"So does this mean I can call you Valencia?" He looked at me from the corner of his eye as he took a sip from his third drink.

"Definitely not."

"Well I'm not calling you Puff so I'll stick to troll even though you got rid of the green hair." He smirked.

"You liked my green hair."

"As long as I can pull it the color don't matter to me."

Five more drinks Sebastian was the only one at the bar and it was almost time for me to leave. Not to mention that he was beyond drunk.

"Sebastian, did you drive here?" I asked.

"No. I-I knew I...um get dr-drunk." He laughed obnoxiously with his head back.

"You got a Uber?"

He nodded his head before handing me his cup again. I took the glass from him and sat it down.

"You had enough." I told him as I grabbed my stuff from under the counter to leave when Amanda came.

"Just...one more." He held up two fingers.

"I'm going to take you home." I pulled him by his lanky arm to help him up. What kind of person would I be to leave him here?

"You're so...so...so...so gorgeous." He tripped on the air as we made our way outside. I ignored him because I knew it was the liquor talking.

"Sebastian, shut up." I helped him into the car before getting in.

"I-I'd fuck you u-until your l-legs give out th-then run you...a-a nice bath and f-fuck you again only this t-ti-time until you go hoarse." He had his arm draped over his eyes with a smirk displayed on his face.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up?" I rolled my eyes. I already knew where his apartment was and we all know how.

"Strike two."

"Where's your girlfriend?"

"Her parents f-for the n-night."

"Why are you still with her after she cheated?"

"I l-love her." He said it half-heartedly, as if he really didn't.

"You don't sound like it." I quickly glanced over at him.

"Who asked you?" He snapped.

I gripped the steering wheel tightly as I took a deep breath. The rest of the car ride was silent. I parked in front of his building and helped him upstairs.

"You should probably drink some water." I took a slice of pizza that was in his fridge before handing him a bottle of water.

"I'm sorry for-"

"I don't care." I rolled my eyes, finishing my slice of pizza.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me on the bed with him, "Lay with me."

"Gross no." I tried to pushed him away only for him to hold me tighter. Giving up, I just laid there and his loud snores could soon be heard.

The longer I laid there my eyes began to get heavy and I eventually fell asleep.

°•°•°•°

I sat up in the bed, looking around the room. Sebastian sat at the end just staring at the wall. He looked zoned out from reality. Like he wasn't really there. Looking at the nearby clock, it was three in the morning.

I gave him a slight tap on the shoulder and he jumped, turning around to face me.

"Um, you sure you're okay?"

He chuckled with tears forming in his eyes, "No I'm not okay."

I sat there loss for words. He was just fine a few hours ago and now he's about to cry in front of me.

"You want to...talk about it?" I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. I wasn't good with my own emotions let alone someone else's. "Why are you upset?"

"I don't know. Sometimes things really dawn on me it's hard for me to brush it off. Constantly knowing that you're a failure in your family."

"You're not a failure-"

"I am. My girlfriend is driving me crazy and I can't concentrate in school, which is why my grades are slipping and I'm on academic probation." He shook his head.

"Again, why are you with her?" I asked, not really caring if it upset him.

"She's always been there for me. In high school not a lot of people fucked with me because I kept to myself and they thought I was weird, not to mention I was the new kid. Ava was the only girl that came up to me not asking for me to do her homework or write a paper.

She gave up her friends because they would talk down on me all the time, and sat with me everyday at lunch. I love her, but now it isn't like how I felt in high school. She's my comfort zone I guess, so I stay with her." He shrugged.

"I guess we have something in common. Feeling like a failure to your family."

"What do you mean?"

"Well being a lesbian isn't something my mother adores. She looks at me like I disgust her all the time. I try to pretend like it doesn't get to me, but it does. Even now I still wish she would accept me for me. I know it won't happen though."

Here I was sharing one of my insecurities with him. Why? I have no clue. Talking to him made me feel like he was actually listening and could relate to me. Crazy.

"Look at you." He let out a small laugh. "Opening up to me and shit. Let's me know you're human after all."

"Shut up, I still hate you."

"I hate you too."
