"I am to pregnant to be on this float." Kirsten called from the unicorn float she was laying on in my pool. It was the middle of August. I was in my 7th month of pregnancy. Kirsten was due in a couple weeks and officially on maternity leave. Instead of starting the school year she was just delaying her return until after the baby was born.

"I think I'm bigger than you." I hollered back from my peacock float from the opposite end of the pool.

"No way. You look gorgeous. I look like a beached whale."

"You're both stunning." Chris said as he walked into the backyard. "Enjoying your Friday afternoon off?" He grinned at me.

I nodded, "I don't know that I'll be able to get out of this thing though." I shifted on the float trying to remove my legs from where they were sticking to the plastic.

Chris laughed stripping off his shirt he tossed it onto the chaise and dived into the pool. He came up next to me with a shake of his head he sent little droplets of water all over me.

"Thanks." I rolled my eyes.

"You're welcome." He gave me a sexy half smile. "How's my boy doing?" He took his hands and placed them gently on my bump.

"He's active." I sighed wearily. "And on my bladder. If I don't make it to the bathroom soon I'll have to pee in the pool."

"That's ok. I do it all the time." Chris shrugged.

"You do not!" I splashed him with a laugh.

"Hey a little help over here!" Kirsten called from the deep end where she was drifting further from the side of the pool.

"You want to get out to?" Chris asked.

She nodded helplessly.

"Ok, ok one pregnant lady at a time." He dove under the water and swam to help Kirsten off her float and out of the pool.

Once she was safely out of the pool he swam back to me. "Your turn pretty lady." He winked at me.

"I can get out." I carefully pushed myself up and off the float and into the cold water. Chris pulled me into his arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist enjoying the feeling of being weightless.

"You going to be ok for a few days while I'm in California?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Kirsten's spending the night."

"The entire time?"

"No." I laughed, "Just the weekend. Nate has to work and we figured we would just have a sleepover."

"That's cute."

"Plus she's so close to her due date. We won't have time to just veg out soon."

"Oh I see." Chris nodded. "I do feel better knowing she'll be here with you for a few days."

"I'm going to miss you though." I ran my fingers through his wet hair spiking it up some.

"I'm going to miss you." He leaned forward and took my lower lip into his mouth biting down gently.

"Do not do that." I murmured a warning.

"Why....what are you going to do about it?" He asked his mouth still against mine.

I tightened my legs around his waist and closed the space between us pushing my lips against his for a wet kiss.

"Eww guys. Come on." Kirsten called from the patio. "I mean I get it. But eww."

I laughed and pushed myself back from Chris.

Chris left for California for a quick week. Kirsten stayed the night Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. We watched a lot of Hallmark movies, and Lifetime movies.

When Chris got home a few days later I was still hooked on the Lifetime movies.

"Babe." I said one night as we climbed into bed.

"Hhhhmmmm?" He asked sleepily flipping through channels on the tv.

"I don't think I'm going to go back to work after the baby is born."

"You're not?" He perked up some.

"What if you have an affair with the nanny? What if the nanny becomes obsessed with you and the baby and tries to kill me and take my place?"

"Bree what the hell are you talking about? We don't even have a nanny. We wouldn't have a nanny. My mom or your mom already said they'd keep the baby while we work."

"Ok but in this movie-"

"You're still watching that crazy lifetime shit aren't you?" He chuckled.

"I think some of them are based on true stories." I continued.

"Stop." He pushed a strand of hair out of my face, "I'm not going to have an affair with the nanny. No one is going to try and kill you."

"I mean it could happen. Lots' of famous people have stalkers."

"Bree. I'm cutting you off from Lifetime."

I rolled my eyes with a huff crossing my arms across my chest. "It could happen. I think you should take it seriously."

"When has anyone ever even noticed me here? We went to dinner and a movie 2 weeks ago and no one said a word to me."

"That doesn't mean it wouldn't happen."

"This isn't LA. Most of the people in our town have known me and my family my entire life. Same as you. So seriously stop." He was still smiling.

"Fine." I grabbed the remote out of his hand and put lifetime on. "AHA! I Told you!" I screeched. "Devious Nanny." I hit info and started telling him the plot of the crazy movie.

"Come here you crazy woman." He grabbed the remote and tossed it behind him before pushing himself up and over towards me. Leaning me back he tilted my chin up towards him for a satisfying kiss.

3 weeks later Kirsten and Nate welcomed their sweet baby boy. I couldn't get to the hospital fast enough to see my best friend as a new mommy and meet my new Godson.

"Hi." I whispered as I walked into her hospital room, a bouquet of flowers with 3 huge balloons tied to the vase in one hand and a big blue teddy bear in the other.

"Hi." Kirsten glanced up at me with a smile. In her arms she cradled her newborn son.

"Oh my gosh Kir. He's perfect." I set the flowers and teddy bear down on the counter with my purse and walked over to the hospital bed. Bending down I inhaled deeply. "He smells like heaven." I cooed.

Kirsten giggled. "Want to hold him Auntie Bree?"

I nodded and held my arms out. I sat down in the open chair next to her bed.

"Hi Graham Nathanial." I whispered to the baby. I looked up at Kirsten. "I love his name so much."

Kirsten smiled. "I can't wait for your guy to be born. Graham is waiting for his best friend to arrive."

"Me too buddy. Me too."
