After 8 hours of going completely insane, I'd decided to leave the backseat and take the last 1 hour driving shift. Everyone in the backseat was fast asleep so I figured this gave me time to talk to Olivia.

"Soo," I began awkwardly. "You and my brother, huh?"

"Do I smell jealousy?" Olivia smiled. She was sitting in the passengers seat next to me.

"Jealous of you and my brother? I think you smell the vomit I'm about to pour out." I gagged at the thought of them together.

"I'm kidding, Char. I wouldn't do that to you. Besides, Henry's like a brother to me."

Good thing Henry was asleep so he couldn't hear the subtle friendzone comment.

"Look, just don't lead him on, O. I know you."

"I'm not leading anyone on. And so what if I liked Henry? You can't tell me who I can and can't date. You're not my mother and you're not my boyfriend," She said aggressively.

Girlfriend, I corrected in my head. I'm not your girlfriend.

"All I'm asking is that you tone it down a little. You can't be with him, so don't try to."

"I can't believe you right now," She said in dismay.

"So are you guys gonna bicker the entire rest of the way or kiss and make up?" Jayden suddenly said.

"Put your headphones back on!" Olivia and I both shouted in sync, and he did so.

"Look, Char. I don't wanna get in another fight again, so just let it go," Olivia said.

I'd decided to leave it at that. We had way too much fun ahead of us to be angry at each other the entire week. I quickly turned the radio up for the rest of the ride to replace the awkward silence, switching the station to Happier by Marshmello & Bastille.

No surprise, Harmony was first to wake up during the ride and was happy to wake up Henry and Brett when we got to the cabin.

"We're here, bitches!" She shouted, receiving groans from both of the guys.

The cabin was amazing. It was right off of a lake, and nearly the size of my current house.

"You live here? I mean- this is your parent's cabin?" I asked Harmony as we finally entered the cabin.

"Close your mouth, hun. You'll catch flies."

I ignored the snarky comment, following Olivia and Harmony upstairs to find our room. We figured the girls could bunk together—besides Harmony who had her own room—and the guys somewhere else, which wasn't a problem because the rooms were huge.

We'd be exploring the rest of the cabin for the majority of the time, so it didn't matter where we slept anyways.

"So I figured we could go skiing on Wednesday, although I don't have enough gear for all of you so you might have to get your own. Oh, and there's this really amazing diner I want you guys to try. Oh and I can't forget about the winter festival, it's three days long but we'll probably go on Saturd—" before she could finish rambling, she was interrupted.

"Prescott, stop analyzing the week! We'll cross that road when we get there," Jayden grabbed her shoulders to calm her down.

"Yeah, lets just relax tonight," Henry said.

"How about we cook up some snacks and hit the hot tub?" Olivia suggested, receiving agreement from everyone.

Brett and I stayed behind to prepare as much pizza rolls as we could and threw a few cookies in the oven while everyone left for the hot tub.

"So, is everything okay with you and Olivia?" Brett suddenly asked.

"Yeah, of course. Why?"

"I overheard your conversation in the car," He said apologetically rubbing the back of his neck.

"You mean when you were supposed to be asleep?" I smiled. His nervousness was adorable.

"Light sleeper."

I laughed at his comment, leaving the room silent for a moment.

"Yeah, we're fine. Thanks for asking though," I finally said. He accepted the fact that I didn't want to talk and we headed outside with the rest of the group. That was one of the reasons I liked him.

"We come bearing gifts!" Brett said as we brought out a few night essentials: pizza rolls, cookies, hot chocolate, towels, and blankets.

The hot tub was big enough for all six of us so we all piled in. To no one's surprise, Olivia ended up next to Henry.

"How about an old fashioned game of truth or dare?" Harmony suggested. She was sitting comfortably under Jayden's arm. No doubt they'd hook up by the end of the week.

I mentally groaned at the thought of that game. I made a subtle glance towards Olivia to see if she was also traumatized by our play of the game last summer, but she was too busy flirting with Henry. Was I the only one who made a big deal out of it?

"You know what, let's play," I said aggressively.

"Atta girl," I could hear Jayden chime in.

"I'll go first. Truth or dare Olivia?" I asked.

She gave me a long stare before her answer. "Dare."

"I dare you to tell me the truth about how you feel about my brother."

"That's so not how this game works, Russo," Harmony argued.

"No, no. It's totally fine," Olivia said. "You wanna know the truth?"

I nodded.

She turned her head to face Henry, grabbing his chin to face her before pulling him in for a long kiss.

Everyone was silent. Most of all, me.

"You know what, you guys keep playing. I'll go get more snacks," I said making a quick escape from the hot tub.

What the hell was wrong with Olivia? How could she do that to me? Of all people, she chooses my brother to be her rebound. After I told her a million times I didn't want them together.

I could feel my eyes begin to water as I made my way inside. It's just the cold, I convinced myself.

As I got to the kitchen, I completely broke down. I sat in the corner hiding behind the island, my face tucked in the palm of my hands.

Why was I having such a hard time coming to terms with Olivia being interested in my brother? Was it because I felt betrayed? She was my best friend.

"Charlotte?" I heard a voice say from outside the kitchen.

"Leave me alone."

I tried to wipe away the tears, but they came flooding out.

"I'm sorry," Henry said. I quickly pulled myself off of the ground. I was pathetic.

"Why, Henry? How could you do this? She's my best friend."

"Charlotte, I promise you there's nothing going on between me and Olivia. I wouldn't do that to you."

"Oh really? Tell that to the stunt you guys just pulled out there."

He began to make his way over to me, grabbing a paper towel to wipe off some of the tears from my face.

"Look, yes I've had the opportunity to get to know her lately, and yes I used to have a crush on her. But- I'm not going to do that to you. I know how you feel about her."

He knows how I feel about her?

"What do you mean?" I asked, but some part of me knew exactly what he meant.

"We don't have to talk about it if you're not ready yet, but I would never betray my little sister like that."

Huh. Little. We were only a year apart.

"Between you and me, Olivia's just one of the guys."

"Oh, I'm sorry, you kiss your other guy friends like that?" I asked. He laughed at the comment, pulling me in for a hug. I fought it at first, but then I completely broke down in his arms.

"It's okay," He said as he stroked my hair as I cried in his shoulder.

"How did you know? I mean- what makes you think I feel that way about her?" I mumbled into his shoulder.

"Just a wild guess," He laughed, and I playfully punched him to escape from the suffocating sibling hug.

"Since when are you the supportive and wise big brother?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"Look, I know you're still trying to figure things out and that's okay. But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."

"It-it's not that I like her or anything, I just don't want my brother with my best friend, you know? Third-wheeling's the worst." I began to wipe away my tears.

Despite Henry's nonchalant accusations, he was wrong. I could never like Olivia like that, nor would I. It was just the thought of third-wheeling. Third-wheeling made me jealous.

"Why don't we go back out there?" He said ignoring my last comment. I simply nodded, and we grabbed a few more snacks that I claimed I was going to get.

Henry decided to sit across from Olivia this time, leaving her stuck in between Harmony and Brett.

"Back for more?" Harmony asked. She was way too eager to play this game. As if she could get any closer to Jayden, she was. A lot must've happened while I was gone having a breakdown. "Daniels! It's your turn."

We all turned our eyes to Brett to see who his victim would be.

"Olivia. Truth or dare?" To no one's surprise, of course he decided to pick on Olivia. The two almost hated each other.

"Truth," She glared at him.

"Is it true you're in love with my girlfriend?"

yikes. what do you guys think will happen next?
