I'd spent most of my Saturday forcing Henry to pack for the trip while Olivia enjoyed the show.

"You're so stubborn!" I shouted as he slammed the door in our face. He refused to pack his bag, claiming that he'd had a change of heart.

"Why dont I try talking to him?" Olivia suggested.

"Go for it."

I was officially done arguing with him, and at this point I was desperate. I left Olivia to work her magic as I headed back to my room.

We'd only be gone for a week, and I had nearly 12 pairs of undies packed. But who doesn't pack two times more underwear in case of emergency?

After I packed the rest of my toiletries, I was finally done, jumping on the suitcase to make sure it would close. It wouldn't.

Suddenly I was joined by Olivia, her 130 pound body doing the job.

"How'd it go?" I asked.

"Let's just say he's back on," Olivia smiled.

"I'll never understand your magic juju," I laughed.

"Just a little flirting here and there," she smirked.

"Oh, gross! Please don't put that image of you and my brother in my head." I was mentally vomiting.

"I'm kidding!" She laughed. "My juju only works on you."

I rolled my eyes at the sly comment. Boundaries.

"Shouldn't you be heading home?" I asked suddenly.

"Wow, Russo. I feel like I'm being forced out of my own home!" She clenched her chest as if she'd been offended.

"I'm just saying. Don't you have to pack? And we should really get some sleep. I feel like there won't be a chance for any this week."

"Sleep deprivation is my specialty!" She laughed.

"I'm serious, O. Go home. Get some sleep." I said.

"Alright, alright. Way to make a girl feel like a one night stand."

"Boundaries," I laughed, knowing I didn't mean it as a joke.

"You wanna carpool tomorrow?" She asked as she reached my bedroom door.

"Actually, I'm riding with Brett. But I'll see you at Harmony's, okay?"

We'd all be riding in one car to the cabin once we reached Harmony's house, but we still had the fifteen minute ride before meeting up. Surely she didn't mind.

"O-Okay. I'll check if Henry does. Goodnight!" She said, with less enthusiasm than usual. She let herself out, leaving me to sulk in my room.

There was no way I'd waste the few hours I had left to sleep. The day went by faster than expected, and we'd be roasting marshmallows around the fire at Harmony's cabin in less than 24 hours.

"Do you have your toothbrush?!" My mom shouted.

"Yes."

"Coat?"

"Yes."

"Extra undies?"

"More than I can count," I laughed. She'd spent the last fifteen minutes bombarding me with essentials I needed.

"Mom! I have everything, I promise. Brett's waiting for me outside," I said.

"Just, be careful. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" She shouted.

"Okay, Mom. I love you. I'll see you next week."

"I love you, Charlotte," She said, giving me a grandma kiss on the cheek.

"Are you sure you have everything?" She asked once more as I began to open the front door.

"Mom!"

"Okay, Okay. Call me when you get to Harmony's and the cabin!" She shouted, but I was already long down the sidewalk to reach Brett's car.

I blew her a quick kiss as we waved goodbye once again. Surprisingly, she was okay with me riding alone with Brett without Olivia. I had told her Olivia insisted—which wasn't a complete lie— and that she'd be riding with Henry. Besides, Olivia assured me she was fine not riding together.

Waiting outside the car, Brett took my bags and loaded them into the car.

"Ugh! Sweet freedom!" I groaned as I got back in the car with Brett.

"You sound happy," He smiled.

"Are you kidding? We get an entire week without grownups. Of course I'm happy," I laughed.

"Good point," He smiled once again.

We'd decided to stop for breakfast at a local diner since we were early.

"How about you get the waffles, and I get the omelette," I attempted to convince him. Truthfully, I wanted it all.

"Why? You'll eat mine and yours," He laughed. "Why don't you just order both?"

"Brett Francis Daniels, are you calling me fat?" I laughed. He rolled his eyes at the mention of his middle name. He hated it.

"I'd never," He said as if he'd been offended.

I ended up ordering both the waffles and omelette, with a side of hash browns.

"Why did we eat that much!" I groaned as we got back in the car, massaging my food baby.

"You mean why did you eat that much," He corrected me.

"Watch it, Francis."

We were finally caught up on time, pulling into Harmony's driveway along with a few other cars.

I spotted Henry's black Jeep, he and Olivia both getting out of it.

"Wow, I almost didn't recognize you," Olivia said, calling attention to the fact that we hadn't seen each other in less than 8 hours.

"Same to you," I laughed.

We did a quick snack raid in Harmony's kitchen for a few more road trip snacks before finally piling into the car.

"Daniels!" Harmony shouted.

"Here."

"Atwood!" She shouted once again. Her role call was pointless considering you could easily see everyone was here, but she continued anyway. Perhaps because she just wanted a reason to be loud.

"Now that everyone's accounted for, who wants the first shift?" She smiled, receiving a groan from everyone else.

It was a 9 hour drive to her family's cabin, so we'd decided we'd take turns on driving, but of course no one wanted to.

"I'll drive," Henry volunteered, hopping into the front seat, followed by Olivia who called shotgun.

As Henry pulled off, I could already tell we'd all hate each other by time we reached the cabin. Jayden was eating all of the snacks. Brett and Harmony were butting heads over a game on his phone.

"You have to press that button to go faster!" Harmony shouted over his shoulder as she watched him play.

"I know," He mumbled.

"Okay you're doing it wrong just let me play!" She shouted.

"You have your own phone, Harmony!" He shouted.

"It's not the same!" She groaned.

The backseat was more chaotic than the front, but I'm not sure what I had expected.

Henry and Olivia were getting along perfectly. Maybe letting them ride together was a bad idea. Olivia had been awfully clingy towards Henry. I knew my best friend, and I knew my brother. One of them didn't deserve the other.
