Olivia, Charlotte, Brett, Jayden, Harmony.

It's been three weeks since my birthday. Brett and I have been dating for almost a month. Olivia— well let's just say I've been keeping her company. She's officially done with Chase to my surprise. I would've expected them to get back together at least a week later.

As expected, I finally got a birthday card in the mail from my father a few days after my birthday. "Happy 16th Birthday!" But I'm 17. Hopefully he doesn't think an expensive car makes up for the lost time.

It's the day before Winter Break, thank God. I needed this break more than anything. I needed the time to think.

"I don't want to go!" Olivia groaned.

Just like usual, we were back to being two peas in a pod.

"It's only one more day, Olivia. We can totally do this," I assured her. "Besides, I'll drive."

No credit to my father, this car was the best gift I'd ever had.

"Fine," She mumbled, tumbling out of my bed and into the bathroom. "How about we save some water and take one shower?" She grinned. She began to strip off her clothes and waved for me to join her.

"Haha, I don't think so," I laughed. "I don't think Brett would like that."

"Brett, Brett, Brett. He's all you ever talk about," She groaned.

"Well, he is my boyfriend."

"But does he make you happy like I do?" She grinned, making her way over to me.

I was sitting on the bed, waiting for her to finish her shower, until she came behind me.

"Does he... kiss you like this," She said, moving my hair to one side of my neck as she began planting slow kisses on it. I was enjoying it.

"You know we're not at that stage yet," I said laughing.

Suddenly, she pushed me down on the bed and climbed on my stomach.

"We have to get ready," I panted, taking in what she was doing to my body.

She only had a towel on, which she now began to remove. Every inch of her body was perfect, and she knew what it did to me. As I examined her body, she moved in for a kiss.

"Boyfriend!" I shouted, now pushing her off of me.

"You're no fun, Russo," She pouted.

"Just go take a shower! I'll take one downstairs," I said. I could feel how heated the room was.

Ever since my birthday, I tried to set some boundaries between me and Olivia. Obviously she hated the idea of not having her sex buddy anymore. But I was with Brett, and being with her still felt like I was cheating somehow.

After my shower, I headed to the kitchen to make us a quick breakfast. Grilled cheese with ham for Olivia and grilled cheese with turkey for me.

I figured I'd go start up the car while I waited for her, but I was met with a familiar car outside my house.

"Brett? What are you doing here?"

"I figured I'd give you a ride on our last day."

"You know I have a car."

"I know. I just wanted your company," He smiled.

"Well, Olivia's almost down. I'm sure she'll be ready in about two minutes," I said, hopping in the front seat.

"Olivia's here?" He questioned.

"Yeah, like always," I said, biting into the special grilled cheese. "Wanna bite?"

He took a bite of the grilled cheese, angrily I might say. But when I saw Olivia coming, I knew why.

The two had been butting heads for the past three weeks, fighting over who got to spend time with me.

"Daniels," Olivia said as she got in the car.

"Atwood."

The entire car ride was silent until I decided to start adjusting the radio to make the car less hostile. Other than the music playing, no one talked the entire ride.

Olivia was first to get out when we got to school, so that left me and Brett some time to talk.

"See you later, Char!" She shouted. "Love you."

I'd sent a quick love you back, reminding me of the time Brett had said it. Speaking of Brett, I turned my attention to him. If this was a cartoon, he'd have flames coming out of his ears.

"Brett, she's my best friend."

"I'm your boyfriend."

"I'm not going to choose. You two just have to get along."

"She gets under my skin!" He moaned.

I just gave him a look.

"Fine," He mumbled. "But I want you all to myself tonight."

"I actually have plans with Olivia but—"

I had completely destroyed his mood.

"I'm sure we can reschedule. I'm all yours tonight," I said smiling.

He leaned in for a kiss and gave me a subtle thank you.

I'm sure I'd never hear the end of it from Olivia, and I was right.

The day went by slow as expected, and we'd decided to go to a diner after school to kick off spring break. Olivia brought along Harmony, and Brett brought along his friend Jayden I'd met last week. No offense to my dear boyfriend, but his friend was much more cooler than him.

Jayden gave off that mysterious bad boy look he probably didn't realize he was giving. He was on the soccer team which automatically gave him props on his appearance. Muscular, dark-haired. He was practically Olivia's type.

"We can plan something else together, Liv. We have an entire week," I protested.

"Exactly! So why does he want to intrude on the one day we already have plans!" She shouted. She was practically ready to jump across the table to maul Brett's face off.

"I just want to be with my girlfriend without a third body in the room," Brett said, receiving an eye roll from Olivia.

"How about next week we kick it at my family's cabin?" Harmony said.

All of us in one house? We could barely keep it together now.

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea, Harmony," I said. Brett and Olivia were already ready to claw each other's faces off.

"I think it's a great idea," Olivia said glaring at Brett. "Don't you have another friend you can bring Brett, or are you all out? Three to two doesn't sound as fun," She said.

"Henry can come," I said. Mainly because I needed him to play peacekeeper.

"Alright, it's settled. I'll text you guys the deets!" Harmony said.

Surprisingly, Harmony had been tolerable over the past few weeks. We'd hung out with Olivia a few times lately, and she wasn't all that bad. Ever since she ratted out Chase for his infidelity, I was totally team Harmony.

It'd been me, Olivia, Harmony, Brett, and Jayden for the past few weeks. We definitely weren't people you would've expected to be friends, but we were. Honestly, it was great not being in the sole company of Olivia, especially since I was trying so hard to set boundaries between us. We were basically like an off-brand Breakfast Club. I just had to get Henry on board.
