"You've got to be kidding me. Why can't it just be us Drew, I don't want to hang with Ash." Jace said, rolling his eyes at Drew.

Right now we were standing in the hallway whisper-shouting so that we didn't wake up Macie. Jace had gotten here about half an hour ago, in an obviously angry mood.

"Ay, the fuck did I do?"

"Dude, he's not two anymore. We can bring him along with us," Drew said, getting angry too. "What's up with you today anyway?"

"Guys, I'm right here!" I said in annoyance and gestured at myself. "And Drew, keep in mind we're the same fucking age."

Jace scowled at me. "Shut it, you. Let's go before the club gets too rowdy."

"Alright," Drew said, pulling me out the door, hot on Jace's heels. We all set off down the street.

"The fuck is up with you?" I asked Jace. He usually never had a problem with me, so something must have happened.

"Nothing." He snarled, not looking at me. I decided to let it go, but as we all walked down our street towards the town centre, I couldn't help but worry. Was Jace okay? He never got like this and it-

"Ash! Hurry up!" Drew called, jolting me out of my thoughts. I looked up from the road and realised that I was lagging behind. I sighed and caught to Jace and Drew.

Jace was still in the same mood when we reached the club while Drew was clearly buzzing with excitement. I couldn't lie, I was pretty excited too.

I stopped walking and looked around. There were tons of half-naked girls, their faces caked with makeup and just as many hot guys. Once my eyes had finished scanning the crowd, they landed on the bouncer who was quite buff, and the annoyance in his expression made him seem even more threatening.

I felt someone grab my shirt and pull me in line. I looked up and realised it was Jace. I smiled at him, just to piss him off and boy, did I succeed.

"What're you smiling at?" He snapped. I shot Drew a look and he sighed. While Jace could be nice and fun, he could also be quite reckless and moody too, at times. Drew and Jace were complete opposites. The only thing that they had in common was their talent at lying (however Drew can't lie when it comes to emotions)

For example, Drew likes to play goody goody but I knew he got drunk on weekends and snuck out at night, whereas Jace had always been rebellious. It was as if he thrived on it. But the thing was, you could see through his facade if you really tried. His parents were pretty high-end lawyers that expected way too much from him; hence his rebellious character.

I snapped back to reality when I realised Jace was still looking at me. "Nothing. Let's just get into the club without you snapping my neck, yeah?"

And with that, he cracked a grin, but it was quickly replaced with a death glare. "How about I just snap your neck right now?"

"Jace!" Drew said abruptly, surprising me. He tended to be quiet around Jace, it was like Jace spoke for the both of them.

"Oh, calm down Andrew. I'm not gonna murder him just yet."

"Never try, please. I like my life." I said, with a pleading look.

Oh look, the bullshit looks fresh tonight.

"We'll see, Ashy." Jace said, grinning and shoving me slightly into a girl in front of us.

"Sorry," I said to the girl, while shoving Jace back.

"Watch it." she said, turning around to face me.

"Looks like Jace rubbed off on you."

The girl looked at me like I was crazy and went back to talking to her friends.

I elbowed Jace again and tried to ignore the sadness that was trying to enter my mind, as it always did. The rest of the wait was in silence and once we reached the bouncer, Jace smiled.

"Hey Levi, let us in, will ya?" Jace said, leaning against the brick wall, his muscles flexing, making my eyes drift toward them.

Jace was hot. Totally fuckable. Anyone could see that.

I groaned to myself as Jace continued to talk to Levi.

"Sure, I need 15 dollars though. I'm not doing this shit for free no more, Jace." Levi said sternly.

"Fine," Drew said, suddenly pulling three five dollar notes out his wallet. He passed it to Levi, who then let us in the club.

Once inside, my heart did a backflip. I'd been here before, but I knew I'd never get used to the music and people of all ages and sizes, high on some kind of drug. I looked around and saw a gay Asian (Filo I think?) couple making out on the 'love seat'. Not wanting to intrude on them, my eyes wandered to the DJ, whom I knew well. He was Jace's older brother, Damo.

Once again, I felt Jace's hand on my shoulder, pulling me through the crowd and towards the stage where Damo was. I looked up and saw Drew trying to make his way through the crowd as well.

Once we reached Damo, Jace gave him a hug. "Damien! Bro, how have you been?"

Damo smiled at him and returned the hug. They looked very similar, with their pale skin and black hair, although Damo had pink tips.

I was never really close to Damo because he was always moving around, trying to get away from his parents. Damo and Jace were more like twins, compared to Drew and me, personality wise.

"Well, hasn't your mood changed rather drastically?" I said to Jace before I could stop myself, earning a glare from him.

"Go get drunk, midget." Jace snarled, turning back to Damo.

"You're a fucking cunt tonight" I snapped back, turning towards Drew who tapped his phone.

"Call me if you need me."

"I'm your twin, not your little brother."

I left them in a shitty mood, determined to get fucked up.
