It was 12 a.m. so basically, it's not your birthday anymore. You took a bath, washed your face, and brushed your teeth before going to bed. You'd waited long enough for y/b/n so you decided to go to sleep without him. 

As you close your eyes, you heard the door opened and closed on your shared apartment and you already know who it was.

The door to your room opened but you ignored it because you were very disappointed on your him for forgetting your birthday. "Baby, you awake?" he asked as he placed her phone on your nightstand. You are fully awake but kept your eyes closed. You feel his weight besides your bed.

"Love, I'm so sorry. There's a lot going on in my mind. I'm stressed at school and work. Babe, please forgive me. I promise to make it up with you. I'm sorry," he whispered but loud enough for you to hear.

You slowly opened your eyes and your eyes locked together. You sat up and peck his lips. "Babe I'm sor...," you cut him off. "Love I understand please don't cry," you saw a tear falling down from his eyes.

"Want to watch Netflix?" You nod and give a smile at his suggestion as he stood up and lead you down the living room. He went to the kitchen to get some popcorn (see the picture. Ignore the third person😊)) and sat down next to you. You lay your head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around you.

The time had passed and you felt sleepy already. For the past hour, you didn't pay attention to the movie. You feel the warmth your boyfriend gave you and the song of his heartbeat that calms you down. You didn't notice you fell asleep.

Your boyfriend's pov,

I really feel bad about myself. I know a simple greet and cuddling will make her happy for her birthday but look what I have done.

It's already 1 a.m. and her head is still on my chest, not moving at all. Then I heard a little snore from her so I think she's fallen asleep. I looked at her sleeping face and it makes me smile. I picked her up and brought her to our shared bedroom. I settled her down and lay down next to her. "Belated happy birthday my love," I said as I kiss her forehead.
